He has a lot of short clip of his songs out and recently he put out an album. He is amazing and in the short clips he is either introducing his song to his grandpa, friends, family or even his music teachers. And in one song he changes his voice as if it’s two people. Would love to see more of him. He’s a bit of a dark horse. Hard to find background details on him, but worth a try. 🎼🎹🎤
He was born Drake John Livingston Jr. He is 21 years old I believe. He had been overweight as a kid with a milld form of oshburghers. He was teased a lot as a teen and love of music, thanks to mom being a musician, had her own band called Proud Ruby. He wrote music as an escape . From what I know of Livingston he got his first record deal when he was 15 or 16 he literally wrote all his songs from the age of 13. He wrote over 200 songs but basically only his mom and family heard. His mom is a musician. They live in Denton, Texas near the greatest jazz colleges UT. He loves God and dont swear. He has been with the same girlfriend since 14. Going back to when he got signed, he did a song called "Fairytale and sent it out to some artist he admired and sent the demo to them. Soon thereafter Livingston he got signed he did a lot of covers but his artistically his sound was no longer there. So he gave up his music because he felt like an imposter. He felt his love of creating and making music died, Fast forward years later he rediscovers hisself and his sound.had Suffered. He stopped for 4 years Strted making music again in 2020 had album Lighthouse, Fairytale, War, Sandcastle, Young Carnivale, Say the Word. after that Album he was not happy and this is what considers his Debut Album. Now the love of music is back. I believe you will love his new Album from which you can hear him put his heart and soul in it, His Album Debut is called :"A Hometown Odyessy. I agree that his voice is phenomenal -- absolutely! But I want to acknowledge the beautiful soul that he shows in the poetry he has written and set to music. He truly comes across as a glorious human being, and when you know more about the challenges he faced growing up, both with being neurodivergent (on the spectrum), as well as bullies and the resulting anxiety, it's possible to love him even more. His music has clearly been enriched by the sensitivity those early difficulties taught him. And for the record, I agree that he has an amazing voice -- I trained in vocals for almost 2 decades, and his voice still gives me goosebumps!
Yes! I commented about how I feel like a front-runner is career. I found out he's going on his first tour ever I think and he's going to be in Austin Texas which is around an hour away from me and his general tickets were only $17.50 🤩 and his backstage VIP soundcheck meet the artist package for only $97. I mean I honestly am not a concert person and I don't know if that's a normal price or not but for a voice like his I booked it. 😊
Same here. I'm 62, heard a line from "Shadow" the day before he dropped the full song and can't get the purity of this kid's voice and lyrics out of my head.
We are one step if not 100 in front of you. He plays for his family and his friends and he is humble yet confident. He is amazingly talented. You want a shocker? Look at him a few years ago. He has completely shaped himself up. Puberty was not so kind but man is he gonna have the ladies after him now. I hope he gets the notoriety he has worked for. Self promoting but not self absorbed. This is my new favorite singer. I found him several weeks ago, and I went to his website and listen to everything that he has created. He is beyond talented and take the time to listen to other pieces of his work everything resonates… are the sky deserves every ounce of success. He has coming to him. My favorite is his song about Anxiety
HUge transition for Livingston. His voice has matured over the years and so has his physicality. AMAZING voice. He needs to be on everyones radar. Such a real, different voice.
My husband and I found him 4 weeks ago and are hooked. We cannot get enough of him. He very much a family man. He incLudes all his friends in his reels and his girl friend.

I am 55 and discovered him recently (2024). I have noticed many Gen Z and Baby Boomers love his music. I remember musicians like this back in my youth. Pure notes, good lyrics (clean) and something that one can hum all day.

This kid is definitely going places. I literally got goosebumps the first time I heard his voice. Spotify has all his songs and they are all awesome. He has come a long way. He was the fat kid in school that was bullied and suffered from anxiety. And he dealt with those experiences through his music. He's my new hero. Just phenomenal.
I have fallen in love with this guy's music as well. I have been following him for some time now. I loved the first song I heard which was "Shadow". As I was doing some video research on him, I came across his "My Story" video. This video made me realize why I was drawn in so quickly. I am a para in a special education setting. I saw some things that I recognized in him which is what caused me to research him. I'm going to say right off the top that most of our kids do not have the support of their parents. Livingston's mother and family have obviously been supporting him for some time now, which is how he has become such an expert at what he does. These kids just need the right people to help mold and shape the gifts that already exist in their lives.

The first song I heard by Livingston was Shadows. I fell in love with his voice immediately. I've not heard a song by him, now, that I haven't loved to my core. This song in particular makes me cry. It reminds me of my late husband and how much I loved/love him. Livingston put into words how I really felt/feel about my husband. Such a remarkable human being. We need more like Livingston.
I loved his singing from the very first time I heard him ❤ I had to immediately google him so I didn't loose him, I'm 66 and not very tech savvy 😊 A lot of things I enjoy hearing or seeing are gone unless I heart it right away and I am so excited that this kid has a natural talent and is very well mannered (good job mom) and he loves his parents❤❤❤ win/win
I found him on RU-vid about a month ago. He just released an album. I am 72, and I love his songs. Sent it to my daughter, who will be 50, and she loves him. Sent it to my 22 year old granddaughter, and she loves him. He appeals to all ages. He said his Mother showed him how to make a song. Also videos on RU-vid where he has friends give him a few random words and makes a song out of them. You should follow him. He's amazing. If someone in the music business doesn't snap him up, they aren't very bright.
I have recently stumbled across Livingston as well. He is truly gifted. He has been working on his first album released for 5 years from a studio at home and he also has an SUV studio. He posts a lot of clips introducing his songs the most recent is "shadow" witches incredible. From what I've gathered he was once bullied a lot he was a bigger boy and has now grown into a fit young man. I love the different interactions with his mother and father and friends who he always introduces his songs to first. Please listen to shadow..... It is mesmerizing. The lyrics and the music come from his soul. The Lord has truly gifted us with Livingston's gifts.

You need to watch all of his song videos if you can. He's exploding right now and the entire album is a masterpiece. Shadow, Architect, Neon, his latest Gravedigger...everything he touches is turning to GOLD. He resonates hard.
I also only heard him for the first time recently. It feels like his songs are something I've heard in a dream. Literally can't get enough. I only pray he stays independent and carries on with his own creative freedoms. He's a diamond in the rough and I'm positive the entire world will know his name soon.
LOVE this guy!! Like many, discovered him by accident and he has completely touched my soul! He sings about anxiety & overcoming it and anyone who has had to deal with it feels in his words, that he knows exactly what true anxiety is. So grateful to him for not just singing about it, but singing about overcoming it! Kudos to this guy… he’s helping so many more people than he probably realizes. ❤️🥰
The epitome of what can be achieved with support for potential. He has more than other singers, it's his connectedness with the himself and the universe. His vibration is magical, out of this world and what he delivers is pure authenticity. Not every singer has this quality but he has it in bucket loads.

Don't compare him to Imagine Dragons... This is Livingston. Period. He is absolutely unique, as you said, and yet you still compared him to Dan Reynolds. When a new singer comes around we don't need to compare them to singers of the past... It makes the singer feel bad for sounding like someone else, and it makes you look bad for comparing the two. He sounds like Livingston and he is Livingston.

I discovered Livingston on TikTok a couple of months ago,it was his post of Shadow with his Mom playing was Phenomenal and I’ve been hooked and listening to his music since. I bought his album that same week. I completely agree with you, very talented!!
