This is SO timely!!?? I was just talking to a good friend who is getting back to her RU-vid channel after months of soul searching and we picked each others brains around these same topics!! Thank you SO much!!❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes, maybe that's what I should do when I'm an old channel, but I'm just starting my channel, but I'm not quitting.i just want to share joy of being with this kind of industry, brainstorming . Thanks for all strategies your sharing. Its really helpful.God Bless
Careful not to follow trends just to change it up. I've seen audiences of many channels grow wary about that. Stick to what you like and what they know you for.
I’m trying to create variety of content for the fitness community and have noticed some of my videos are definitely way more popular than others. I like your advice about trends so I’m studying more content formats. I love what I do so I’m going to keep consistent but try to evolve even more 🙏🏽❤️
To effectively ‘cut through the noise’-especially with the proliferation of content creators to RU-vid/other social media platforms-I believe you really have to bring some level of ‘innovation’ to the table. That is, a new, fresh take on/approach to a topic. Not easy, by any means. I, personally, love challenges, though. I’m constantly trying new/different things with both long and short form content, to see what ‘sticks’. The ‘victors’, I think, are those who master collaboration, have a ridiculous work ethic, are resilient, determined, and don’t let setbacks/rejection deter them from pursuing their goals! Best to everyone out there attempting to master RU-vid and other platforms! :)
currently at 8 subs.. just started 2 days ago, watching all the videos i can to help with growth but still remain authentic, which is hard because youtube seems to promote a very targeted style that feels gimmicky to me and refuse to give in. It will be a harder and longer road but will be more rewarding in the end than just doing whatever trend is blowing up. I want to cultivate MY audience, not just AN audience for being in the right place at the right time.
My channel never moved enough to become stuck. My channel is so small it probably isn't even counted. But, I'm having even more fun than before....can't wait to edit more. ( that doesn't mean the next disaterpiece will be any good......but I'll have fun ). tHanks for your video! Have a super week.
Thank you for always inspiring us Sean and team! Great work as always - especially when we are still growing and haven't "broken" through the numbers yet.
It's been an interesting journey on RU-vid. I've been putting up educational videos in a very niche area (end of life healthcare). We are really growing on Facebook and our focus is there for now. But we are trying to built a footprint on RU-vid as a basis for future expansion. We'll probably have about 100 RU-vid videos up by the time we really turn our attention to RU-vid. I have noticed that RU-vid is less friendly for experts engaged in more educational content. The demographics of RU-vid viewership doesn't match well with our content. But we'll keep at it.
I have a sports channel that cover’s NBA basketball mostly and the season is around the fall season, as a growing small channel, all the perspectives given in this video I’ll look to make a shift
Well I know That My Views go down During The Lenten Season Ash Wednesday - Easter Sunday, But That's the Time when My Channel needs a Break and I'm Not Uploading any New Content during that Time, So of course My Views are gonna go down. However when it isn't Lent I Upload every 4th Day, If life doesn't get in the way. To keep my channel Fresh and New. And I always have at least 1 Recent Upload on My Channel, Sean Cannell. Well as For The Movie Reviewing part of My Niche, Films to day are usually Cookie Cutter Remakes, And Made By Disney, So Basically Films today are a Crap Shoot. Unlike Films from the 20s 30s 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s and Beginning of The New Millennium When Film Makers cared about The Quality of The Film now it's The Quantity of The Films. I'm an Exception to The Rule, I care about Good Quality while giving a Variety of Quantity. i have a Page on IMDb where I Rate, Rank, and Review Media.
Think Media = Let me talk around the issue for 12 minutes without really getting anywhere. Think Media 2023. You guys just play the system, you don’t actually provide anything that we don’t already know. Facts
I often wonder why anyone is surprised that views are down. With more creators on the platform everyday, and viewers looking for a more streamlined content consumption, it does not shock me that the viewership is lower. With more options out there for viewers, they still have the same amount of time to be on the platform, and more and more people are making moves to curate the lives they want. This should not surprise anyone at all. Perspective.
My channel was doing fantastic with over 10k views in 48 hours and then suddenly it flatlined. Didn't just slowly go down hill, it was like it went off a cliff to no views.
I was posting lately with one of the first, and my views have gone up alot recently :) Did shorts on both of them and also a long video, so I could reach both the short term viewers and also the long term viewers :)
and now we have airplanes that absolutely fly around the globe...nevermind the sailors who did it by circumnavigation hundreds of years ago. Antarctica was walked across in the 1980's. airplanes fly around from north to south & east to west
I am 6 weeks into my channel and have more than 740 subs. However, I find that I have low views and high subscriber rate. Even with slightly less than 60 videos I get about 250 views a day. Very disappointing
I have similar problem but they take views every day it is frustrating I go up to 100 then go down to 20 almost every day I have 16 video and they do this to all of them
Alright man as a biblical person, I would strongly consider replacing the use of "evolving" with "developing", evolving is not a biblical concept and it is against the 2nd law of thermodynamics anyways, things do not automatically get better over time if left to themselves they actually degrade and decay. It takes planning, intelligence, and exerted energy to make things better, which is developing. If you had a channel and did nothing to it, does it evolve on its own and get better over time? Developing implies creative energy is put into something, and builds upon previous input or foundations of development - which is far more empowering
