The reason why Omi was getting so many years is because the entertainment industry is VERY involved in the government. He 'stole' millions of dollars from some higher ups and that right there is something you just can't do. They're using him as an example and his trial won't be justice.

Statistically, animal cruelty is often observed and reported before child abuse or domestic violence (if research now still supports what it did in the 2010s). We hear of people dying/being killed in graphic ways all the time, but graphic violence to an animal is jarring to hear and hard to forget.
@@FuzzyBSMcgee For sure, I get being desensitized when it comes to graphic violence against people, in terms of adults, teenagers or even pre-teens. But I gotta doubt all of that still holds water if strictly referring to babies less than a year old.

That was fucked up but not “shooking” to hear because of our familiarity to that kind of violence. Conversely, I had a coworker in high school (I’m 30yo now) tell me the graphic way her boyfriend killed an entire litter of kittens in front of her that instantly replayed in my head when he started talking about the kitten, so I was appreciative to not have more details added to that mental scar lol

Yoooo back in the early 2000s, I was pirating HELLA albums & movies on Napster, Limewire, Bearshare, etc. BUT one day after school I came home to a certified letter address to my like 12-13yo ass from a federal office citing 3 or 4 specific things I downloaded and explaining how our IP address would be monitored going forward. So the 500+ years in prison doesn’t surprise me at all Also the way my mom whooped my ass into oblivion for having them folks on our head motivated me to learn more about computer software. Subsequently, I was the first person to ever receive a varsity letter in robotics at my catholic high school (for building a battlebot with a team of other nerds I picked out to compete in a regional competition that I found). 😂🤷🏾♂️
