A detailed documentary in the works for the past 9 months. I started this project back in Christmas of 2021, I'm glad to finally have it out and hope you enjoy it. I'll be adding corrections and additions to the description over time.
Thanks so much for making this man, we gotta preserve the old days as much as we can and documenting it like this ensures valuable history won't disappear
thank you thank you THANK YOU so much for this bro, yoyojam has a special place in my heart and this is everything I could’ve asked for and then some. appreciate you a ton man ❤
I've recently picked up yoyoing again after 12 years and I was absolutely gobsmacked to see many titles had been discontinued by the time, but seeing YYJ shut its doors was the most heartbreaking of them all for sure. it just feels like I'm waking up from a cyronics sleep to a total new era of yoyoing.. also regretting a bit now that I didn't get a Phenom back then, and now seems impossible to find one :P anyways this video was such delightful nostalgia man, cheers!!
Beautiful video. I used to sell YYJ when I worked at a small mom and pop hobby store and had a yo-yo club there! My favorites were always yoyojam and Duncan!
This is an awesome documentary! I grew up using yoyoJam yo-yos, my favorites being the DarkMagic, NightMoves 4-5 and the Hitman! I also wanted to add back in 2017 Sturm Panzer came out with a NightMoves 9, it resembles the NightMoves 5, but with a few tweaks.
yoyos missing lile the hitman pro, the first phenom with gold plated rims, the x-con and x-con pro, the eneme, the black nova of Tomonari Hishiguro, a world champion! miss so much that times....
Thank you man for taking the time to make this video. Your video made me think a lots of my past experience. In 2005 I got my first upgraded plastic yoyo is Yoyo-Jam Lyn Fruy, it was my best yoyo during that time period. Then in 2006-2007 I got Yoyo Jam's Big Ben, Minimuto and Aquarius, these are the best yoyos at the time period of my yoyo journey again. Yoyo Jam's yoyo means a lots at my beginning of yoyoing, those influential memories can not be forgotten.
・Daisuke Shimada is 2002〜2005 WYYC X or 3A division champion. So he signature is Sigma Blade & Sigma Blade Zwei. ・Zhao yuan liu is team yoyojam last member. He is called Mr. Phenom because he often uses Phenom.
Man this is a blast from the past, I have several of the yoyos mentioned here, some I have to go find in storage. Also shoutout to the Synergy. I'd like to see similar documentaries for Duncan and YYF, imo these are the Holy Trinity of modernizing yoyoing. Duncan specifically because of patents and Steve Brown, and YYF for hubstacks and high end metal yoyos, grind finishes and new shapes.
Thank you for this video , it is thanks to YoYo jam and their team ,masters , the people you mentioned I learned how to YoYo and loved yo-yoing so much . This video brought back a lot of great memories . Much appreciations for this documentary.
Nice video, heartwarming, since I was a part of this family and my passion with yoyos is end with yoyojam :( miss myself on the video😂 2 signatures and iyyf judge and lot os contests behind me. Even missed Eric
There is different between the original NM and NM1, i am so lucky to have from OGs NM to NM5 My favorite player from YYJ team is the Spin Master - Brent Dellinger
Other notable players on the yoyojam team: Seth White: Only person to get a perfect score in compulsories at Worlds Mikhail Tulabut: Created some incredible yoyo videos Dave Geigle
Great documentary! I enjoyed learning more about YoyoJam, just too many technical and numerical specs. You should have done the same as with the nightmoves for all Yo-Yos. Otherwise great job, I enjoyed it. So much nostalgia. I had a speeder, big Ben and dark magic 1&2
I think the team section you did a great job, but you never really mentioned much about Grant Johnson a lot of his videos have bee taken down on his youtube channel, but there are still a few gems that may have helped with the teams section. Overall, I think this was an amazing video and definitely gave me a ridiculous amount of nostalgia :)
Still remembered that I tried to imitate Daisuke Shimada's signature Sword Dancer several years ago, and he might be long forgotten by many fellow yo-yoers as a 4-time world champion of 3A/X Division, along with his Sigma Blade series.
