I don't understand all the technology. All I know is that I just love watching my favorite young Superstar having fun exploring new features and sounds on her kit🤗. Love You always Yoyoka🥰💖💖💖💖🇯🇵!!!
I wish there was a word to describe how much we love this little lady from around the world. But for now all we can do is just say we love you Yoyoka from Lake of the Ozarks USA.
Technology at the service of creativity, Yoyoka shows us how to apply it in music and sounds, born to be a teacher as much as a marvellous performer. A passion for life, what a gift.
I am beyond amazed at how professional she is for the age! Such incredible qualities she possesses! Muchas gracias, for another drum lesson, Yoyoka! Your instructions, demonstration and equipment explanation was informative and the easiest to understand.
I have only one thing to say about our Yoyoka: Amazing, as usual :-) About this EAD10 though... I have to say I'm not sold on it. The kick is thin and sounds like an overloaded preamp, and the rest of kit sounds too distant. Basically it sounds like what we were mucking about with on cheap tape recorders as kids. In fact, you can get a really great sound out of a single mic placed in front of the kit, as long as you are in a completely acoustically dead environment. But placement is everything, and the mic has to be at least half-decent. In fact, the sound picked up by the iPhone would sound almost professional if recorded outdoors with no reflections off the walls. For me, as an engineer who always lacked both mics and mixer inputs, I developed a technique using two or three mics strategically placed in and amongst the kit in order to get maximum sound pickup, and interestingly, the precise placing of this EAD thingy is almost the same for one of them. So for me this is a kind of vindication in a way, although again the overall sound of this unit is pretty bad, frankly. As for the effects, they just sound gimmicky to me - you muck about with them for about an hour after installing the unit just for the novelty of it, but quickly get bored and never use them again. The reason for this is that those sounds weren't achieved by the sweat of your brow, but by simply pressing a button, which brings no real sense of actual achievement and so is ultimately meaningless. I would challenge anyone to amass a bunch of analogue effects boxes of all types to come up with their own creative sounds; see: Metal Machine Music and Mouseproof is Music.
Thank you Yoyoka, you're a brilliant musician, I wish I could play guitar half as good as you play drums, and im 37 iv been playing for years.. you truly are inspirational
It’s really wonderful and may I say, bada** to see a kid or young lady very maturely teaching us the technical side of her craft. It really emphasizes her love for music when she’s willing to learn every aspect of her chosen instrument. It also shows professionalism and dedication. She teaches and inspires me more than some of the musicians double/triple her age. For young musicians, you don’t need to look anywhere for inspiration.
Interesting. She is trying new things, experimenting. She has a much better ear overall than 99.9% of us, and certainly a much different experience than we are getting over a YT upload that never truly represents what she is hearing, regardless. They aren't trying to sell it, nor make money off a referral link, if anyone noticed. If it is useful to her and she likes it, she will use it, simple as that.
Oh, that was a lot of fun. All those effects through drums inspires me to play and experiment with more sounds. And that metal bit at the very end? I was over here banging my head and going YEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!! :) Loved it! :)
Awesome buy! You'll be able to do a lot of really cool effects. Looking forward to seeing what you're able to do with it. You make me want to have a daughter.
Yoyoka is great on experimenting things. What a magnificent awesome drummer girl. I'm also a drummer but, she's a lot better playing drums than me. Yoyoka you rock. So, Keep on rocking on This free world. I admire her as a great drummer.Take care, be care, be safe, and stay healthy out there in japan.
You just never know, when it's a live "show" ! ..(even if not a performance!)-----------Love the bit where she happens to bang one piece of the styrofoam packaging on another---and visibly sparks on all cylinders when she hears the sound !!!!---Yoyoka can never be off-duty as an artist !!! just the best.
Wow, she is such a little pro. She has a brilliant career ahead. One of my favorite drummers. Keep up the awesome work Yoyoka. Your a inspiration to so many people.
Hi Yoyoka!! You are so unbelievable 🤩!!! Every Time!! I watch one of your videos I enjoy it more and more 👍👍🤩!! I thought you were already plenty special the way you play the drums, But!! now you seem to understand the technology as well as you can play!!! Yoyoka please know that you are Very Very Special 👍👍👍👍👍👍!!!!! While most 10 year old girls are either riding a bike or at their friends house, between your ability to play, and your knowledge of the technology, you're mastering your craft more and more everyday 😊!!! So be Encouraged!!!🤩 Please continue to keep up the Outstanding Work!!! I'm Sooo! So Impressed 😊😊!! You may even end up being a very successful teacher!!! God Bless You Always 😊 Very Sincerely John in Savannah Georgia 🥁🥁🥁🥁!!!¡
I'm sure you'll find the best way to use the EAD10 along with your current set-up. On it's own, it does sound a bit compressed and doesn't capture the cymbals as well as the mics. Perhaps it's best to use both together and mix the sounds.
Reminds me of the the first guitar effects processor I bought (a small Sony unit); it had 200 canned "sounds", plus the ability to create more. I spent untold hours just tinkering with it. In your initial demo, I noticed that the iphone picked up the cymbals much better then the EAD10. Great demo!
If you noticed when she placed the second piece of starfoam on the first she said that it had a good sound. Always listening! She probably has 10x the neutal payhways for sound than the average human!
Yes, that alone indicates a verry special gift. Just her improvisation over different sound settings is a show that would sell tickets. Valuable plug for Yamaha.

Awesome!!! I think you are ready for some time signature changes now. Try "Outshined" or anything from Soundgarden. "Outshined" is in 7/4. "My Wave" is in 5/4. Or try "Rusty Cage" which starts in 4/4 and ends up in 7/4 and all over the place. YOU ARE GREAT!!!
It doesn’t matter that you’re teaching about drums, you have an infectious enthusiasm and certainly rubs on me. Makes me want to continue improving my skills in what I do-graphic design. As an aside, are you, by any chance, keen on doing covers of 80’s 90’s alt rock bands like Luscious Jackson, Cibo Matto, Belly, Breeders, Throwing Muses, L7, Hole, Beastie Boys? Happy drumming 😊
probably because it reminds me somehow of command and conquer tiberian sun at 01:00 min ^^ at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5nnEtDhC9C0.html and at this one at mostly because of this one :DDD ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEywtFfEkAc.html very awesome Yoyoka-Chan ^^
i don't think that yamaha have that. Looked a bit, and it seems to be in English on everything that I can find. Sure, the package will have japanese on it if it's for the domestic market. Assume it's to avoid more tooling and design costs.
