@@daniel3231995 but i see a lot of twoset comments in this video saying that twoset lead them to here. i wouldn't have discovered this gem if it were not for them, and i have listened to the classical music for about two decades now but didn't pay much attention to violin repertoire, my favored instrument being flute harp organ. i only found about this sonata for two violins by ysaye when twoset played them, so i would like to give them the credit for introducing great music to others.
@@daniel3231995 yes, i see your point, and i agree with your statement that ysaye's work stand by its own beauty.😊 when twoset introduced this piece along with other works, this piece alone caught my ears and drove me to search it out. no doubt it had rung my soul, respect and salut to ysaye.😄 and this performance is so beautiful, after listening to this several times, i bought the cd right away. yet, you need someone to deliver its very existence before you get acquainted with it. so in that context, i think twoset are doing very good job. many other musicians also try hard to get classical music familiar to people in their own approach, and i like twoset's manner of delivering it. not only are they humourous and humble, they also have a daring sense to say "look, here are the classical music compositions that you should try out in your lifetime. they might not be as famous as bumblebee but they are of excellent beauty." many musicians and mass media are reluctant to dig into less well known area of classical music, probably due to financial matters, and you could not argue that ysaye or wieniawski are less well known than mozart or beethoven. so mass media repeat a lot of famous pieces but dont give much chance to relatively less famous pieces. well anyway, if you would excuse me, i would stop talking about twoset here...😊 perhaps it is okay to lightly comment about twoset, but it is rude to talk this much about them here, i should apologize. instead i should listen to this amazing performance and focus on the wonderful virtuosity and beauty these violinists( papavrami and roussev) transferred to me. so many people worked so hard to get this beautiful music bloom in the world...
Not very nice to comment that on someone else's interpretation.. I agtee though I am still waiting for it. Same goes for the moszkowski suite for two violins and piano..
That is JUST incredible team work! What a blip in the universe that these two know each other and decided to play this masterpiece. There's not a single moment they miss in understanding the feel of the expression. I'm pretty sure Ysaÿe wouldn't dislike it if he heard them play this.
Listening to this performance any time I have a signal of depression for how many bad things are going on in this world. This performance reminds me that there is still a lot of beauty in this world. It’s just a matter to pay attention to it.
@@mantictac Bullshit, you can easily disable mid-rolls. You can't have total control over how ads work, but there's a fair amount of options. Not only am I on mobile, but I do want channels to thrive, and be monetised off of ads. When it comes to something like this though, mid-rolls are personally distasteful to the listener. Set ads to the beginning/end.
i just went and bought a cd.. i found out that this recording is the only version which doesn't have any cut in them, the cd is complete works of ysaye, nice.
i am glad i found this jewel performance. i didn't know ysaye had such beautiful piece composed. although i have had a cd recording of ysaye by oistrach for many years, i never gave it much attention until now. this performance is so superb that after listening to it several times i bought a cd recording of this... and last few days i have been indulging in it.
you're not here from twoset? gOoD fOr yOu. you aint special. lets just at least appreciate them for introducing such a good piece to people who havent heard of it before. they succeed at making people know classical music even better. have you done better things to make people become aware of classical pieces? idt so
This piece is Sonata for two violins, in A minor, Op. posth. YD1. [1. Poco lento, maestoso - Allegro fermo; 2. Allegretto poco lento; 3. Finale. Allegro vivo e con fuoco) composed by Eugene Ysaye in 1915, dedicted to his student Elisabeth of Bavaria, Queen of the Belgians.
Au cas où, ici c'est Mateus, joueur de Steel drums, nous avons fait connaissance a Genève... Je suis rentré au pays (Brésil)... C'est toujours un plaisir de te voir jouer !
my boyfriend got me the sheets for this piece for christmas so that we could play it together but now I‘m just sitting in front of them, listening to this recording, instead of playing it myself cause it‘s way to difficult aaaaaaa
Oh, I'm here too because I enjoy the piece! But I wouldn't even know about it without twoset... ^~ Anyway, magnificent performance! I really love listening to this.
