I came across this again and wanted to say def like the sunset better with the outfits. I got mine with silver hardware and the chains are super shiny. Only thing is it's a heavy bag if you wear it all day.
I love such detailed reviews. I like the envelope bag, it seems to have good capacity without the bulk. I wish YSL made more top handle bags, I'm not a fan of shoulder/crossbody only options.
I have the sunset large in the black crocodile leather and the envelope large in the white creme leather and I like them both. Can‘t decide which one is my favourite 🤷♀️
The best one would be the one that would carry more stuff as this is what bags are for. I think the trend of smaller bags would disappear in the near future and the trend for the larger bags will soon return as they are more useful and still beautiful.

Sunset is versatile and looks great in any outfit. Purchased the large one because I carry my epipen and more, but cannot carry it across body. Anyway, I will be using it on the shoulder than across the body for a more feminine look and more formal way to justify the amount of money my husband paid for it.

I'm six feet tall and the mini bag trend creates an optical illusion that isn't flattering on me. Your original video on the envelope encouraged me to get it but it looks much smaller on me than you. I really love mine. I think the sunset would be and look too small on me.
I'm 5'11 and love my bigger bags as well! I agree, if I ever were to get a YSL Sunset I'd have to go for a size larger than the one shown here I think :)
Hi there! I get a few people to ask about this. It's discontinued now but it was the YSL Cassandre bag. No review I'm afraid as it's not very popular anymore since it's not available. Amazing bag, I advise checking pre-loved websites to find one.

Hey, smooth still looks great. I don’t use it heavily though it’s worth noting - just on the odd occasion. The smooth does have a very slight grain so it’s not so bad
Sure the envelope is heavier but the sizes aren’t the same as that it a large. I think if you got them in the same size the weight would be similar, or the sunset maybe more so.
I always make sure they are looped twice under the bag and stand the bag up, so that it’s not laying on the straps. Either that of a handbag stand is great
Does your ysl envelope bag have metal in the leather ? Sadly, some of their leather bags have dangerous metals in the leathers. I’ve just learned this.
