I have the uptown clutch in the black croc embossed leather with silver hardware. I love the slick and elegant look of the clutch for formal events. The wristlet is versatile and holds more. To me, it serves a similar function and has a similar look as a WOC. Since I already have a Chanel WOC, I don’t think I need the YSL wristlet. For someone who doesn’t have a WOC, I think the YSL wristlet could be a great alternative. Just my two cents. 😄
I have the uptown clutch in a dark beige and in a light off white color and find I can dress up or dress down., both in pebbles leather. I do think the smooth leather and black color does make it more for evening.
Hi Johanna, I’m considering purchasing the uptown clutch but can’t decide on color. I’m between the dark beige or off white. Which one do you prefer and use the most? Does the white off get easily dirty? Thank you.
I agree with your review 100%. I own both bags in the same color and leather version. I purchased the Uptown first over a year ago when it was only $475 and got a discount from My Theresa. I more recently bought the wristlet and I absolutely love it!!! One of my best purchases ever!! I wear it a lot either as a cross body with casual outfits or as a clutch, wristlet or shoulder bag with more dressy outfits. I plan to buy it in black and whatever other fun colors they have. I did buy a converter kit from Samorga. I do like having the Uptown, but I wish I had gotten it in a different color now that I have the wristlet. I would sell it and buy it in another color, but I'm not sure is worth the price now since I would only use it on special occasions.
As always Amber you do the most detailed comparisons of bags and I find it so helpful and fun to watch. I have wondered which of these to get and am leaning towards both versions like you or 2 colours in the wristlet pebbled leather version you showed in the beige colour. Have a great week 💕
Oh I love the uptown clutch it’s very elegant dressy , I really do love this clutch it’s on my wishlist. I have the chevron style in pink and white pebbled leather . I’d love the black. You are so right about 5he wristlet your collection is so pretty .

Thanks for filming this. I am looking for a new evening bag and I now know that I can cross these two off my list. They will never fit my essentials. In addition to everything you put in them I need to take my car key fob, asthma puffer and reading glasses. I am really starting to think that a modern style clutch is just not for me. Once you get to the age of needing reading glasses things get complicated.

I like wristlet . I might try to get it used as I can save money. I want the bag to fit little more. As I atleast need to carry my phone cards and car keys. These are more affordable compared to other expensive clutches
Hi Amber, I have a question for you. Although I don't have a fancy designer bag, I still have a good collection of leather bags and sometimes I have trouble getting some straps to stay put on my shoulder. They slip. Have you ever had this problem? Do you have a trick to make them stop slipping? Thank you!
