Thanks for this review, I’ve been waiting to see some insights. I was a bit concerned about the weight but it sounds lovely. Isn’t the nib the first time it’s their own nib instead of a Schmidt nib though. I believe their resin fountain pens use Schmidt nibs, but not their new Classic Fountain pens.

That is one area I’m double checking, but this one looked a bit too much like my other Schmidt nibs, and writes like them, if that makes sense. I’ve got a clarification request out to them and if I get confirmation back that it is a 100% new nib, I’ll add that to the description.

Okay, just got the email back from YStudio. They confirmed that they are indeed still Schmidt nibs with the YStudio logo stamped on it.

@The Inked Well That's pretty disappointing and doesn't bode well for any trust I had in them especially as far as transparency goes. They make a pretty big deal about it being their own in house nib, that little lie might actually disqualify it from being a brand I will try. I was just about to checkout and buy one too.
