Guest Bio:Reclaiming one’s sacred self is at the heart of Veronica’s life work. She has worked with men, women, and children from all walks of life in various capacities for over 25 years. She received her BSW from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. She also earned a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from the Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Veronica brings a depth of experience and expertise in yoga and meditation that spans over a decade. She is a dedicated practitioner of Yoga and blends Yoga, psychology, meditation, and self-care strategies to support and improve the overall health and well-being of others. She encourages the awareness of the mind, body, and Spirit connection, and draws upon her education and training to help individuals improve their physical, emotional, and Spiritual health.
Veronica is a current Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute Bunting Fellow and offers Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness sessions throughout Baltimore in community settings such as schools, community centers, and libraries and also provides virtual mind-body interventions in the Behavioral Sciences research department of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. Veronica draws upon both her therapeutic training as a Social Worker and Yoga Therapy training to help individuals improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. She encourages the awareness of the mind, body, spirit connection and focuses on supporting people in tuning into their innate spiritual wisdom to improve their health.
As a devoted wife and mother of 4 boys whom she homeschooled for 6 years and military family, Veronica has lived in or traveled to 9 different countries and over 20 states in the U.S., taking with her all the best those people, cultures, and traditions have to offer.
She draws from her life experiences, years of education, and motherhood, and delights in sharing what she has learned with others to help promote health and wellness in those she touches.
