EXCELLENT STORY with Virginia Gregg, Howard McNear, Larry Dobkin, John Dehner etc. This one is a keeper. As a teenager I would listen to this show in the late 50's and even recorded half an episode in 1958; ''THE LATIN LOVELY MATTER''' on my disc-recorder. I got the whole episode now among maybe over 50 Johnny Dollar features, mostly with Bob Bailey.
I first listened to old time radio in the 70’s while my dad was stationed overseas in Holland. The variety of shows ranging from comedy, suspense , western, Sherlock, and JD. Came through AFN ( armed forces network) on weekends in the 6-10 am time slot , then American bandstand, Casey Kasem, and soul train rocked the airwaves 10-1 pm . I still have some reel to reel recordings of lots of these programs. What a time to listen to radio. I also forgot… Wolfman Jack came on at 10pm weekdays.
You're out of luck Chris. Where I live (Boston Area) we used to have radio stations which had weekly old-time radio shows, which were from the 40s to the 70s. But they've been taken off the air because too many people found these shows contained “racist and sexist material”
