This Johnny Dollar is missing episode 2, but you should still be able to follow along without a problem, since they do a recap at the beginning of each episode

I first listened to CBS Radio Mystery Theatre in the mid 70s. When I came home from school I told my parents I had to go to my room @ 9pm to listen to this show. they looked at my like I had turned green. They had four or five shows on the radio for a while, I listened to them all. Over time I will put all of them on my channel.

I started listening to these programs in 1952. It was the primary source of entertainment since we didn't get our first TV until 1957. My brother and I would listen to the radio until the wee small hours when mom would come and tell us to turn it off and get to sleep. I rediscovered OTR in 1985 when I was listening to AM radio while commuting home from work. Two other fav's were Sam Spade and Boston Blackie. Be well my friend.

YTJD fortunately with these 15 minute episodes they do a recap at the beginning of each episode 2-5, so you do not miss as much. The scripts are great, and Bob Bailey was perfect in the role. Only 55 of them, but they are (almost) all great.

They made a pilot in the early 60s, but it was not picked up. I have never seen it. The closest you can come to Johnny is Banacek, done in the early 70. But he only went after big insurance loss

There is an episode missing. They go from Johnny being beat up on his way to the car to the son already murdered and Johnny talking to the police.

Did they ever say what happened to episode 2?
@michaeldegen3850
@michaeldegen3850 2 года назад
There is a recap done at the beginning of each episode of what has happened so far, so around the 13 minute mark it would do a recap of the first two episodes

@@michaeldegen3850 I figured. I’ve listened to the playlist and this episode so many times. Sorry my bad phrasing! I was asking what happened to that part of the episode: did it get lost to the ages, bad audio quality or unsalvageable? Things like that. I was curious about the history.

I don't know what happened to the lost episode(s). But someone took great care of these Johnny Dollar episodes thru time. I downloaded 744 total. There are other shows on my channel where 100s were produced, but only a few remain. The Fat Man and Candy Matson to name a couple

Thank you Michael, I thought about how they stored these cool stories for all these years. Real to real tapes back in the day , then to cassette and on to discs… Mabey 🤷🏼‍♂️

I love the Eagles almost as much as I love oxygen. So it hurts me to say anything bad about anything related to my team. But holy hell this video is trash with the AI voice. If you're actually a human creator and a real Philly fan, and NOT from the AI factory of making channels that are 100% AI created as a money grab... I hope you find a way to revamp your content and start making awesome videos and your channel is successful. Go birds
