Same, a nostalgic treat! I remember the “with electronic sounds” trend around that time too so I remember him sounding vocoded. Bring me back to old RU-vid!
I love how the puppeteer for George/Felicity/Mr.Volcanicity/Mr.Volcano/Big Talking Volcano/Lazarus Always just looks so pained and uncomfortable when operating the puppet, and even jerks into it like he's connecting to a Mech Suit
That's just him becoming one with the volcanicity. It is an *incredibly* painful and often lethal sensation. Many men tried to play the character before, and those many men died trying.
It is a complicated relationship. First Felicity asks Allan out on a date but soon finds his carnivorous appatettes to be a threat to the local ecosystem and elects to stop him. Later they do make amends however and continue as friends. Character developement!
I'm...so conflicted. My body has learned to physically reject YTPs of these two, but this one has actual effort and creativity in it...what is going on? I feel like if I fully explore this combination of sensations I will unravel entirely and cease to animate this body.
To folks who don't know, DaThings streamed the making of this video on their Twitch channel! I highly recommend giving it a look if you want some great content outside of the main RU-vid channel from DaThings. This YTP was very fun and has some great pacing and jokes per second in it. That last part is very well sentence mixed and very silly in a way I wasn't expecting lol. Another cool 9/10 from one of the best YTPers on the site.
Never connected the dots until now that this Mathew Berry was who voiced that big talking volcano Also there was a documentary about these ads??? can't think of any more significant campaigns that deserve it
@@TheRealTerranMarine Glad I'm not the only one who thought that… funny thing is I'm reasonably sure Ellie started making this poop before that kid whose name I forgot literally broke Tetris
2:03 Jelson, operator, George's left arm Runt, operator, Alan's right eyelid 2:36 Volcanoes Georg voiced by Mike Perry 3:09 Vaul K Nissiti, talent scout 3:54 Junny Ploople, former intern
Ngl, the callback to All I Want to Beer made me smile like a dipshit, it's one of my absolute favorite YTP's you've ever done. Great work as ever. I really appreciated the deep enemies to lovers to enemies arc between Ms. Felicity and Tyrannosaurus Alan the Tyrant.
I love how, despite being captioned in a really honest and straightforward way, the captions nevertheless manage to be funny on their own. I love [Aloud] "Wow! a Gun!"
I love the expert sentence mixing in this, and it feels like I find a new joke I missed each time I rewatch it. For example, after "Lololol, it's full of tea." The volcano is saying "Si."
Absolutely fantastic. I’ll never understand how someone can stretch a 30-or-so second TV spot into a 6-minute video (yes, the credits count) with extremely comprehensible sentence mixing and not a jokeless moment for miles.
5:10 This absolutely killed me "I'm plotting to snuff out 2 tiger toothed tigers and Snuffleupagus" " Don't do it, Alan! He's a significant and impressive muppet!"
I have a feeling Matt Berry (the voice of the volcano) would like this also, he does the idents for Absolute Radio in Bongland, some of them are hilariously droll
I never knew George was saying "guarana" until this video but I always loved the way he said that. Thank you for providing this pair with a YTP packed with great jokes from start to finish, and that's worthy of their impact on the art form.
Authentic sentence mixing such as wonderfully demonstrated in this video will become even more of a distinct art form as generative AI rears its head and makes it even easier for someone to make anyone say anything. So refreshing these days.
