I remember my friends would randomly sing this on Fridays in 2002. I never saw this video, only my friend’s rendition of it. Almost 20 years later and ‘Today is Friday, I hope you have your shoes on... Donkey sneakers! It’s Friday!’ will sometimes randomly play in my head on a Friday. Now I finally know where it’s from.🤣

I'd do anything to have a time machine to go back to the 90's. How happy was my life then? I took it all for granted.

I was 8 years old when this bit first came out. I can't even begin to describe how much I hated it. I'd always change the channel whenever I even heard them talking about Nuclear Donkey. And then the next year my parents divorced. All around terrible era.

This might be a stretch but if this was reworked into a jazz piece, I could see ‘donkey sneakers’ being retained as a nonsense lyric like w/the song ‘salt peanuts’. __ No country for old farriers ;| I remember how in another video Kelly appreciated watching some kids do a cover of this song for a school talent show or such.

My favorite memories as a kid was watching YTV during the Holiday months, especially October for Halloween.....The family channel was awesome for that too.

I'm in my early 30s and I now have a 1 year old son. I just told him how o ised to listen to this song as a kid and played this loud and he started dancing to it smiling and laughing...little things like this silly song as a kid is what made the 90s and early 2000s so amazing. Some things will never die like these good memories
