I wished these stories and the ones from the Duel Terminal Archetypes would get turned into an Anime series. Maybe have regular duelists be involved with the wars of these archetypes and stuff
I always loved the whole duel terminal lore. But I think the presence of duelists would go against the story they want to tell. This is a world of monstes that, not being bound by the limits of a card game, exist with a life of their own. Parallel the Orichalcum arc in DM, the backstory about a realm where dragons existed free, where monster spirits can talk and move on their own...
lol i was gonna type that, i really hope konami allows it to happen, lore knowledge would connect ppl more to the cards they play somewhat well, atleast how it works for me lol@@peterzelaya9948
Yugioh card lore is one of my favourite things. It's a real puzzle to piece them together, especially with the bigger storylines like Duel Terminal. My faves have always been the smaller scale ones, like this one! Really liked the video.
Fire Kings would always be one of my favorite archetypes due to its lore and how the gameplay adapts that theme really well ingame (destruction, rebirth). Thanks dylan, great video!
I wonder if the world of the Atlanteans/Mermails connects with the Gishki/Nekroz lore. After all, the motif of fire vs water continues in that storyline as well. Other than that this was a great video for a lore enthusiast like me and I can't wait for more content like this.
Probably not. Gishki and Nekroz were released in the Hidden Arsenal packs as part of the Duel Terminal lore. The Atlanteans, Fire Kings, and Mermails were released in the core boosters.
Never knew that the Fire Kings had a relationship with the Atlanteans and even the Mermails and Spiral Serpent, great video! I wonder if you'll ever do a Art of the Cards on the World Chalice story, despite it being super long haha
@@jtwatts7990 Krawler, Mekk-Knight, Knightmare, Orcust, World Chalice, Crusadia . . . at least six, by my count, not counting the World Legacy cards themselves.
@@elijahpadilla5083 Not to mention some other archetypes might even play a small role like I think the Shadolls make a small entrance even if they're not directly related to the archetype themselves
Okay, that was a pretty cool story. Learning about the lore of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards is just awesome and this is probably one of my favorites so far. I definitely want to hear a story about either the World Legacy, the Invoked and Prophecy, the War between the Magical Citadel and La Maison or the Six Samurai. Whichever one comes first, that's going to be awesome. Great video and looking forward to more like this.
I really love these lore stories, I wish there would be a video game or Anime based on the stories of the cards. Keep doing these videos, they're one of my favorites, not on your channel, but on RU-vid as a whole!
Hey Dylan, do you plan on discussing the new anime cards for Sherry and Yuma soon from Animation Chronicle and Synchro Storm (Sherry’s new original support). Furthermore, have of new Lyrillusc cards as well that were announced today? Really good, I’m glad they’ve done Ruri’s deck justice.
@@YugiohEverything Look forward to it. Which ones are your favourite. Mine are the Zexal cards. Each one of them are from some of the best duel in Zexal: Zexal Catapult and Leo Utopia Ray (Reference to the unity of Utopia Ray and Leo Arms) from Yuma vs Tron, Zexal Servers-Ouroboros Sage from the Don Thousand duel and Zexal Weapon-Sylphid Wing from the climactic Nash duel. Sherry’s cards are cool too and I’m happy to see them released as well and I was quite surprised they print her two field spells both of which I really like and would use them if I built a Sherry Themed Noble Knight/Necro Fleur deck.
Update: Fire King Sky Burn depicts Mermail Abyssgaios being burned by Garunix Eternity, not Poseidra. Could it be that Fire Kings wanted revenge and attacked the Mermails or are the Mermails also power hungry?
Update? With the new fire king cards it seems like the ending might be a little bit different because the character you called the "mermaill king" is seen in this card not posidra.
