Actually with the going first combo: Crusadia Reclusia can pop the trap card, as it can target any Crusadia card you control and because it is a continuous trap card. And then equinax can tribute reclusia to target and negate any card effect since that effect is a quick effect. So the deck has a 2 card, 2 disruption play, which still isn't amazing compared to other decks, but it is very consistent.

As someone extensively familiar with this deck, I would highly recommend using hornet drones and the mekk knights as well instead of world crown. Any crusadia plus hornet drones is the link 3. Also for the kaijus always use the strongest ones since the attack gain is what is you are most after

I think its okay in concept as you do special a lot out of hand, but what you want in your hands is as many extenders/starters as possible, of which pinpoint landing is neither. I wouldn't fault anyone for playing it, but i think there are better options. Also opening with multiple is a mega brick.

Virtual Doombot true but the Venus engine is big, bulky and weak to hand traps. I fell like the brilliant engine is outclassed by just running 3 hornet drones and kagari as it doesn't require garnet and doesn't care about Ash blossom

I dont have those expensive ass hand traps, so I use 3 Waterfront, 3 Terraforming and 2 Gameciel on top of 3 Rescue Cat and 3 Called by the Grave. It can brick with this setup but a majority of the time i can power through my opponents hand traps while blasting my own Gameciel for game.

Reclusia allows you to target a crusadia CARD, so instead of popping itself, you pop the trap and whatever your opponent has, that way you have equimax negate live :)

The Ash Blossoms and Drolls aren’t super important to this deck going second. Might be better to use Called by the Grave so you can just power through your opponent’s hand traps. Combine that with the Kaijus to deal with problem monsters, as well as Crusadia Power to charge through any disruption, this deck can OTK like crazy.

I also use pinpoint landing, but c'mon where's your rescue cat? I really like this combo: (Summoner Monk + Any Crusadia + Any Spell) Summoner Monk > Rescue Cat > x2 Leonis > Magius > Standard Crusadia Combo > at the end of the combo you should have Equimax + Summoner Monk + Leonis (in Link Zone) + Maximus > you can now overlay Summoner Monk and Maximus (or Draco) for Bagooska in defense (if you're going first) or Tornado Dragon (if you need to pop backrow). Bagooska works fantastically with Equimax because Equimax can't go to defense mode so he keeps his effect. Also, Called by the Grave is very useful for countering hand traps that would stop your otk.

My build plays 3 Called. 2 Ash. 2 Droll. 4 Kaijus. 1 Slumber. I also play link infraflier as an extender. Kaijus, Hand Traps, and Called limit your opponent so much that 2 Crusadia monster are all you need. The sky striker engine is 6 cards. And 3 hornet drones solo isn't consistent enough. My player preference is to not play Sky Strikers. Highest Damage on a solo Attack so far is 15,400.

I suggest instead of the highest attack kaijus use gandarla and dogoran and put some trade in and you can add 1 world legacy lance

I have the crusadia kaiju striker deck. with the hornets and engages. It makes the deck have a lot more recyclable resources. I also run more of the stronger kaijus and one gamaceil to potentially give equimax more damage.

I personally think this archetype is pretty neat. I do want to wait a bit for the prices of Equimax and Magius simmer down a little, though. Also, I do suggest throwing in two or three Xyz/Synchro monsters for flexibility.

I’m not trying to hate but you can tell this deck had no real play testing go into it. This deck works best with other engines like Mekk Knight, Sky Striker, or the Brilliant Fusion Engine to keep your plays going you need to become less reliant on your normal summon and with a deck that wants to kill your opponent as fast as possible why run cards like world legacy succession at two when you can only use one per turn idk I feel like this deck could be optimized a lot better also feel free to give more suggestions for Crusadia in the comments on this comment because I’m always open to learning more about my future deck

It just shows how unfamiliar you are with the deck, playing 5 kaijus will definitely brick your hand i play only 2 and it happens like crazy, rescue cat is an amazing card in the deck bc you can get lion + valeryfaun which will allow you to go into nat beast + archlord + that trap and locks your opponent from attacking your non link monsters and playing spells, summoner monk is also quite good since you can recycle your paladion spells with celestial bodies (draco), monk is basically extra copies of cat, brandish engine is also decent since horner allows you to go into aechlord for free and not use your monsters from the hand since you are using kagari + linkuriboh, fa dd and brio or also handy since you have a tuner in tree and both of them have amazing effs.

While this deck is interesting, and very fun to play, I wouldn’t say that it’s optimal. Personally, I find crusadia is most effective when played as a control deck, utilizing hand traps, equimax’s negation effect, world crown’s negation effect, and the sheer high attack points of the equimax to create a deck that is potent at controlling boards through brute force and one powerful and easy to access boss monster.

You should not play Gameciel(s), Equimax gains Atk equal to the Atk of the Kaiju you give to your opponent, if you put it in the right zone, so you should play only big Kaijus: Jizukiru, Thunder King and Dogoran. Pinpoint Landing is interesting, I'm going to try that in my Crusadia deck. Also I personally would play Crown only at 1, you can bring it from the deck with the Crusadia trap for the effect on opponent's turn, and I think you don't need it otherwise. A Kaiju would give you a best Atk boost than 2000, and a World Legacy Lance would give you a better Otk chance.

Hey Sam, best Impcamptation deck coming soon?? Thoughts on what you think the best decks are for those cards? I did a review and the thoughts I have based on what it works best with are Demise/Ruin, Cyber Angel, Litmus (keep in mind the traps can really focus on the deck as well like using in Altergeist, elemental training, monarch...etc Vendread...which really does make the deck super broken. Just want to get your input because I don't think it works in my personal favorites (BLS and BE Max)

Also, the deck profiles Sam has done on True Draco in the past are pretty budget. He did one in May after Master Peace got banned and it's less than $100. The most expensive card in Draco is Card of Demise which is only like $15. I'd say check that one out.

I’d run more kaijus. My build has 9 kaijus and slumber, which may seem a bit excessive, but opening multiple kaijus is fine since extra kaijus function as free Special summons for links, and opening at least 1 kaiju enables for the simplest OTKs by forcing the kaiju to point in front of your links.

So Sophisticated If you’re turboing the OTK, 9 kaijus works pretty well. It helps the chance of drawing at least 1, which even then is only 70% of the time going second. Having 1 kaiju allows you to control the opponent’s zone your link 3 points to, making for one of the simplest OTKs. Drawing multiples as I said isn’t a problem. You can special the excess kaijus to go into link plays. For example, a hand of 1 palladion and 3 kaijus is still an OTK (8200 damage with the field if your vast sky search went through). By running many kaijus, you have an easy single out to disruption. When you run 3 kaijus, your chance of drawing 1 is only 33%. Even when I run 9 kaijus, there have been many times I wished I drew one when I didn’t. 9 kaijus don’t brick you in this specific deck, but it’s understandable to not run that many in order to fit space for cards such as handtraps.

Why dont you pla reinforcement of the army? Arboria is a warrior. I also think you shouldnt play 3 copys but maybe only one copy of the quick spell since its a brick and also makes maximus, arborias and leonis effects useless so you cant otk if you use it. You could consider playing sky striker in the deck since that would make the otk far more consistent. If kagari summoned into a link zone you can activate the effect as well and you gain another link material with drones or even a widow anchor/afterburner to play with

I am hoping you are going to read this cause I have been thinking about this for a while now: throughout your competie yugioh carrier, has mind crush helped you by any means cause I've seen it in a lot of your deck profiles but in the same time noone (as far as I am aware) has highlited this card or given it a proper review (f.e. what much-ups is this card especially good against and the extent of the advantage you might gain from this card as you will need to name a specific name etc). Can’t arboria save reclusia from destruction if it targets itself for destruction by banishing herself and keeping reclusia on board for attack buffs to whatever crusadia link that points to it? That’s how I interpreted the effect and use it to not go neg on equimax attack damage

what do you think of thr sky striker engine for free material ( you don't NEED engage just the hornets but engage makes it 6 copies) and rescue cat in the deck (free nat beat or free 2 crusadias leonis)?
