Opening Wave allows for more flexible combo lines as you don't need to go into Coral Triangle, so running 2 Wave is interesting. Also, Splash Mage allows for the one card combo of either Pascalus or Mandarin to end on a better board, but it's not 100% mandatory, it's just helpful when you open bad hands.
A few interesting choice cards i run for this deck are: Salvage, because if you top deck this, the crackback is insane. It also gets you your non-engine extenders too Minairuka, because it's a non-engine extender, the negate it gives can shut off nasty floodgates and other cards
big fan of playing multiple wave - going 1st seeing wave off blue tang or opening it feels amazing - basilalima you provide a great argument for and like the logic and reasoning unfortunately in australia its near impossible to find blue tang or coral anemone in secret
I'm the same, 2 thrust, 1 talents, 1 monster reborn, and 1 evenly. Unless you have the perfect hand and don't get interrupted, you aren't going to OTK, so evenly places you far ahead and then you can grind them down.
Love marincess. Agree basalima is a must this format. I cut out the pots after banishing field spell too much and play 3 icejade ran aegirine and 2 silent sea nettle. Lets you get into link 4 without burning the normal if you get nibbed.
Ive been playing abyss shark + silent angler to make toad and stealth kragen. In the side i use the icejade tuner that jnsta synchro into the Icejade synchro.
To all the Marincess players out there. I absolutely hate Pot of Desires, so if you are like me, consider crossout or 2 fields and the third ttt instead.
Thrust for Monster Reborn is super interesting, as it counters Nibiru pretty well, depending where you eat it. I'd consider it if Thrust wasn't $50😅 I think the deck thrives in a handtrap meta, do if we move towards board breakers it may suffer. The deck is a lot more resilient to getting interrupted than it is to Lighting Storm or Evenly unless you go for Crystal Heart and Argonaut (which, TBF, if handtraps aren't that important then Bubble Reef doesn't matter as much). However, and contrary to Summon Limit, the deck can play very well turn 3 under Deck Lockdown, so going first you can play it.
any decent player just waits for end of main with nib against marincess. unless you can bahamut which you cant if youre getting handtrapped thrust into reborn wont do you any good.
@@imvipox9776waiting for end of main against Marincess is a bad idea. At that point you've already searched Wave and have Triangle in GY. If the handtraps in hand are enough to avoid otk during your opponent's turn, Triangle alone rebuilds your board turn 3 and easily threatens an otk. Plus if you get Nibiru end of main with Thrust in hand for reborn, you just reborn Bubble Reef which turns Wave back on and let's you draw.
@@TopTierGamingYGO not really. cant attach with field spell if you dont summon to extra monster zone so you wont have a s/t negate with argonaut and argonaut is just gonna be 2300 attack so they can just beat over. you basically only get wave
@@ctusiard9755 any decent deck wont let get to turn three if you only have wave. you need argonauts s/t negate to consistently win against good decks. some decks just loose to nib and marincess is one of those. coping with reborn doesnt really change that. it just lets you play less handtraps so your maindeck is consistently worse
We Need something that can protect field spell 🥲 Btw i think tour ratios Is the good to go but not with desire. But yeah i Guess everybody can adapt to their personal playstyle. I also play crossout because i hate nib so much against me 😂. Droplet also Is a very good idea like you said! In general, i like your list, problemi Is some cards are wayy too expensive xD Also, Sea horse Qrc sooooo cool 🥲💙
