Someone needs to make a sumo dice game format where the turn player starts with a 0 material sumo dice games that cant be interacted with and you must win through its alt win condition
This series is really good. But although you should keep the decks at a higher level, maxx c at least completely ruins the concept, it's impossible to cook weird stuff with the constant threat of maxx c
I do think an alternative to simply saying mbt shouldn't use handtraps, have a custom ban list, if specific cards are not fun to see or becoming problematic/played out too much you can stick them on the list so people have to keep making new decks/ways to win(through mbt laughing or winning the duel) and both sides can play without some meta cards(like the bug) to be more fair.
I mean, there's people dedicated enough to it As in, the concept of playing a funny deck for shits and giggles. There's very few URs that are part of only funny stuff, after all.

I like the idea, but hand traps really ruin this type of series. I would hope to see less of them in the future to give the opponent a better chance to fulfill their game plan to make you laugh.
it's too generous, ik it wouldn't hurt to implement but the viewers are gonna find a way to win (or simply make him laugh) with some jank shit either way, Danny's sub replay friday is proof of that imo.
@@txkyoaes5743 The issue is that SRF gives you infinite tries across ladder, it doesn't matter if the Dark Sage guy lost the flip 20 games in a row so long as they get 1 to submit. It would be substantially less interesting if everyone only got 1 try.

RIP to the Fiend Comedian suggestion - i really liked how it was a double pun as it's a bunch of people trying to fiend some comedic moments. Dueltaining reminds me of the Master Duel replay RU-vidr Dueltainer. regardless, love to see new content of any kind and excited for 2024
Look it's easy to blame the bug for everything. But it really wasn't the problem here. Maxx C didn't stop people plays, ash and inperm did. Interaction is what kills the silly

@@MrDegan2 I disagree, Maxx C has no place in anything trying to be fun. If the opponent is trying to do something silly then even if you don't Maxx C draw into Nibiru you will be drawing into a bunch of gas, and I don't think it's fun to see (or play through) Sumo Dice Game turbo get overrun by a deck that drew 500 extenders.
@@ashikjaman1940 okay but its modern day ygo, any deck trying to do something funny is going to get overrun by literally any deck trying to play the game. The laugh win is always going to have to be an ftk because any deck MBT plays is just going to steam roll them otherwise. Even without hand traps because they are playing different games.
MBT, i love and respect the ARC-V simpage, but I don't think there's enough ARC-V love to algorithmically support "Dueltainment" as a series name, we already have Junior Journey for your based series the algorithm could never understand, this should be Fiend Comedians
I love the concept, but both sides should be playing complete jank in order to make it work. Hand Traps are NOT funny. Except Magikuriboh, that one never stops being hilarious.
I have to be honest here, while it may not be optimal to run less non-engine, running less non-engine would greatly increase the amount of funny the opponent can get away with. Also how do I apply, i'd love to show you some warcrime decklists
Love the classic MBT decklist with all the handtraps and none of the fun. Definitely looking forward to whatever insanity everyone else can bring to the table
Yeah, so many cards have animations that shouldn’t, and so many don’t. Like seriously, with how relevant Dante and Beatrice have been in Yugioh’s history, how do neither of them have animations?
@@LynnLyns Yea, the RPS card is funny. Dice Sumo is an alt-win condition and I think all alt-win condition cards should have an animation because of how difficult they can be.
Please for the love of god if you do another one of these do NOT run Maxx C, it makes these would be fun games look like Platinum ranked replays, it's not even remotely funny
Dont worry, seeing all those Maxx C didnt make me laugh. Legit feedback: This show doesnt have a true identity. "Winning" by either making MBT laugh OR winning the duel feels like polar opposites. Lemme try to make a funny board while MBT sacks me with Maxx C, Ash and Imperm, thats not exciting. Either embrace the spirit of Dannys Sub Replay Friday and get hilariously combod on or make serious viewerduels but this aint it. Also consider a small prize for the contestants like a giftsub for your channel (or friend of yours if alrdy subbed) if they make you laugh
My biggest complaint is you kind of gave up on your own premise. Like, the first duel you laughed at you literally tried to win after you laughed, and the second game you wanted to "let them cook". I understand why you did it, the first one is obviously fun and the second one you let them further show off the deck, but... you the rules of engagement were "I laugh, I lose", then you laughed and the game kept happening. That being said, I enjoyed the episode as a whole.
The amount of comments crying "maxx C ruined this" show how bad ygo players are at critical thinking. If the goal is to make MBT laugh the bug does literally nothing.
Am i the only one who thinks having handtraps like Ash and Imperm (and Maxx C which puts them into your hand) defeats the whole purpose? How are you going to be entertained if you don't let your opponent cook?
I would have liked to see the name Fiend Comedians. But dueltaining is also nice. I think you need to lean more into the game show aspect of the series. Pull from your theater kid experience and make it wacky. Maybe get a showman outfit. The video seems a bit too chill for this kind of idea.
Tbh if I was to play a deck for this I’d be on Spyral and do like a fully normal combo for a U Link just to use the whole board for a firewall in the EMZ and pass
Hey MBT, I run a Ghostrick/Egyptian gods deck that actually surprisingly wins. 55 cards, all 3 gods 2 of, usually winning pulling out obelisk or stunning opponents to surrender. There’s also a spell card that boost my ghostricks into 2100-3200 attack so it makes them viable for faster damage.
Magikey's normal monsters generally don't matter aside from the main guy and whatever attr you want to block as well as their level, so yeah I play Celtic Guardian and Winged Dragon of the Fortress. I genuinely got in like 3 last attacks with Celtic Guardian all my time with it. A lvl 2 tuner that's self sufficient and Bystials make this deck far more playable than the Adventure engine, which blocks Magikey's most important card from activating (the genie guy). It was sorta viable thanks to Chaos Ruler, but guess who's getting banned soon?
