Rest in peace Takahashi Sensei, you made the lives of many duelists, you were responsible for bringing fun and joy to all of them, thank you master, thank you!!!! 🙏😢😢

GX is the only series that the protagonist who actually "turns adult." When Judai's interest in duel turns into responsibility, he slowly loses youth and innocence and became isolated from others. It's like people who spend time working overtime and eventually find life is dull in today's societies.
yes definitely! But of course.... Judai is still Judai. He still loves dueling despite people using it as a means of destroying the world. I really loved his character development... and I felt the damage he took from Season 3.. and I was just happy that he retrieved his passion back on Season 4... and he started to enjoy dueling again! :)
That's why GX is my favorite Yu gi oh, you can see Judai/Jaden become an adult, it's like seeing a part of his life and maybe some people will not forget that at some point they have been a child that enjoyed little things and didn't take some stuff too seriously.
My favourite Yugioh series ever Judai or Jaden's character development is just nice From a innocent teenager who loves dueling and after those life or death duels he experienced so many times changed him into a mature teenager who loses his innocence and makes dueling as his responsibility to protect his friends
Wow, sometimes I feel like this is too much. I'm 22 years old, but the second I listen to this song, I feel like 12 again, better times... Everyone who reads this and who is maybe younger than me... Please. Enjoy every moment. You won't know how fast everything will be gone. It will...
@@magdtrablse139 life's hard, but it's worth living! never forget that! and make sure you're the one who actually makes that life worth living! find new friends, make new memories, life's not about school and college, maybe it wasn't meant, maybe you'll get another chance ... who knows, but it's so beautiful that you are the one who is in control! hope you have a beautiful weekend ahead friend!
i'm 21 and understand your feelings for sure, listening to such old anime openings like this, brings back same good old memories, specially if these are related to yugioh-GX. I remember the opening (precious time, glory days) and after that i always remember one phrase from it "keep holding on" it's a simple phrase, but, with a great meaning. Just remember this if you can.
I feel you too...I was in grade 3 when I discovered the world of Yugioh..GX and 5Ds have been my most beloved of all the series. This song brings back so much memories of a childhood I could never go back to, innocence I could never go back to, but gives me hope each time to go on despite the hardships. I can never listen to this song without tearing up in yearning for something I can't even figure out what. Lots of love!
I'm 27 and watch the last season on japanese with englisch subtitles as a German and I feel this series so hard. Best Yu-gi-oh Series ever! Sad, emotional and funny at the ssme time. The change from Jaden you see in all seasons makes me thing about it, its a anime with a good story of growing up and getting older👍🏻😊

Thank you for everything Kazuki Takahash, you changed an unimaginable amount of many lives for the better. I can't imagine my life without yugioh. Rest in Peace master
Even in Japanese, the lyrics are so heartwarming. My personal favourites, translated, are:" I look into your face; while you look into space, I don't know what but something's shrouded your smiling face. It's like pieces of broken glass that stabs into me, It makes me sad too." I mean wow, it's beautiful, and exactly how I feel for my friends.
And it symbolizes Jaden and Yubel. Jaden sent Yubel ihto space so Yubel looks into Jadens face while Jaden looks up into space where Yubel is. And Yubel being unable to contact Jaden anymore both feel pain and sadness.
He lost his friends, He lost his teacher, He abandon his love and start his own journey in the end. What a beautifull sadness show :") I miss this series most than others. ~5 October 2019~
DN, we, duelists, will never forget all the memories we had with you. All the otks, the rated games, the rage quits.... DN ITS ETERNAL, the best simulator of the history !!!!!
As you hang your head and smile, a single tear lands on your cheeks You pretend to be strong, but underneath You’re hiding sighs; your smile is cloudy It sticks into me Like shattered glass It’s OK to talk about the pain in your heart Your smile Has always saved me You can cry now I’ll stay here with you Losing sight of the dawn you chased When you hesitate and turn around Even if you don’t say anything I won’t forget, even now How you stayed by my side I can’t put it into words well And time keeps on heartlessly moving, but Your smile Has always saved me You can cry now I’ll stay here with you I’ll just be here Until you stop hanging your head, lift your face and laugh
The Gatling Jeep I know I’m commenting 10 months later, but you responded to a 2-3 comment about someone saying this was this was the best opening ever (I prefer precious time, Glory days and Kirifuda over this, but this song is definitely one of my favourites), which clearly is an opinion, but still the comments are there for people to agree with, and all you can do is comment ‘I disagree’. I know you’re a massive dm fanboy from seeing other comments on other Yugioh videos, but why would you make a comment like that without providing any other arguments or opinions?
*precious time, glory days,(^) overlap, hanate, zexal op 2 and 3, 5D's op 2 and believe in nexus, with the wind and kawaita sakebi have entered the chat*
Well, I got here from the first OP, and that one is just the most up-beat music ever.... While this one is really sad... I love how GX does this kinda of thing.
Tried hard to make the lyrics as natural for the english language, but here it is. A single tear streams down your cheek, smiling down. Behing that strong-willed-air, The sigh you’re hiding is clouding you’re smile And stabbing me like broken shards of glass. It’s OK to expose the pain in you’re heart That smile of your’s has always saved me This one time, you can let yourself cry Because I’ll always be here I lost sight of the dawn I’ve been chasing Even now, I will never forget how when I turned around in confusion, you stayed by my side without me saying anything. I can’t quite put this into words, But while time passed on heartlessly, That smile of your’s has awlays saved me. This one time, it’s fine to cry, because I’ll always stay by your side I’ll simply be by you’re side, until the time you’ll raise that head looking down and smile.
I don't really know why but I just love so much this part 0:51 - 0:55 ♫ Muunneeeeeeeeee no itami ♫ Very catchy and emotional at the same time, quite befitting for this arc, I suppose :)
@@pneuma4329 if you think Zexal is the worst, you obviously haven't watched it because it has so many good themes and we see Yuma grow as a duelist and character.
Today, 20 years ago, Yugioh GX came out This was the first anime i've ever watched and the one that made me fall in love with yugioh as a whole, thank you Judai for all the fun duels GOTCHA! AND GET YOUR GAME ON
Yugioh GX one of the shows i fuck with the most, even tho i've watched most popular anime and sht, GX just has a special place in my heart. Know i cant be the only one that feels this way, Jaden's way of seeing life is just so inspiring man.

I actually cried while listening to this song on the cassette-player. My Aunt asked me why I was crying, and I felt a bit embarrassed to tell her the truth. But yes, this song is _very_ moving. ☺
+Metaltuerke This is actually kind of needed even imo, i mean GX ended when Judai was prepared and was about to be a pro facing _the real outside_ world just like Zane did and possibly reaching Yugi's, Kaiba's or Yusei's level of skills spreading more Heroes awesomeness to the world.... also why and how the heck was he in Rome in the movie lol?
This tune hits you hard when I friend and you do not see eye to eye Season three reminds me of this, took me a whole year to rekindle the friend ship after we went through a lot, our friendship grew strong again to overcome the problems just like Judai did for Jessie when he was lost and the possessed main was it a ride
It’s being 14 years since GX ended and I still want an academy reunion movie to see the cast one last time. The ending didn’t justified Judais journey, it felt so vague and forced. Konami do us justice.
Rip Takahashi. I might of got a chance to meet you, but I am grateful that you have changed my life with my favourite animanga series next to dragon ball. May God bless your soul and your family rest well king 😔👑 ❤️.
I love this song, but I hate it. The reason is because Dueling Network's "main menu" song was this. So many times I listened to it, you know? But I do love the song.
This opening is so amazing. It captures Jaden and this arc perfectly. GX was in the era of the big 3, so it’s no wonder why every OP and ED is so good. Around that time every shonen OP and ED were amazing. Naruto, Bleach, etc
Mannn this opening. Yugioh GX was truly like where you seen him grow up. Like I'd say GX is like one of the best Yugioh series. Great animation, characters for the most part and this sound track has me feeling some type of way.
This song really speaks to me. For a spinoff that's campier than its predecessor, the third season is very dark and serious. I didn't know until watching the original Japanese version that it addresses a real issue and shows the protagonist starting to grow as he sees no time to have fun.
This song always makes me remember the good old days, when I decided to watch gx in subs, I was in high school and every thing was fine, I used to watch 4-7 eps a day, it kinda hit hard to see how judai went through a lot of things and his smile slowly faded away
Such a great song. I remember fondly hearing it when starting up duel nexus (I think that was the name of it. It was an old browser yugioh game back in the day). This was the song that was used as the main theme for that game. The nostalgia it brings me 12 years later is just amazing.
Although I never really watched much of GX, this gives me the chills. It gives me some sort of feeling for a longing of some sort. I guess it's just a general feel good opening. I feel the need to go watch some GX now
Fair enough. At least you tried watching it, and it legitimately didn't appeal to you. What pisses me off is when people just assume they're going to hate and never bother to try watching it.
I totally agree with you. I've seen hardly any of GX, and not much of 5D's, but from what I have seen, I know they're awesome. They're Yu-Gi-Oh! after all, and Yu-Gi-Oh! is amazing! But from what I've seen, I want to add a couple of people you left out: Bakura and Yuma. There are others, but I can't think of them right now--my brain isn't working.
For almost three full seasons I kept asking myself where the plot was and o thought I wouldn't like gx much more but this into song MAKES me love judai and johan
English translation: As you hang your head and smile, a single tear lands on your cheeks You pretend to be strong, but underneath You’re hiding sighs; your smile is cloudy It sticks into me Like shattered glass It’s OK to talk about the pain in your heart Your smile Has always saved me You can cry now I’ll stay here with you Losing sight of the dawn you chased When you hesitate and turn around Even if you don’t say anything I won’t forget, even now How you stayed by my side I can’t put it into words well And time keeps on heartlessly moving, but Your smile Has always saved me You can cry now I’ll stay here with you I’ll just be here Until you stop hanging your head, lift your face and laugh
Nostalgia can be really shitty, and this song is definitely one of the proofs of that for me. So much relic of the past i remember by listening to this song, from GX to dueling network.
Yugioh GX is 100% my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE OUT OF ALL THE OTHERS And it's the first yugioh anime I've ever watched as a little kid never finished it Until last year Thank u yugioh gx for giving me such a good childhood forever a Gx fan
The saddest opening for the saddest arc. During the second arc perhaps we saw the first as "the good times", but the true tragic times still were to start...
Listening to this song makes me wonder what happened after the end of the series. I wonder where Jaden, Yubel, Banner, Pharoh, and Winged Kuriboh went. He said he was going to use his ability to see duel spirits to help people. I wonder how that went. Any one else?
@@miguelangelfajardo1852 Besides helping out random people. He also mentions that he was looking for who stole Rainbow Dragon from Johan, that's how he runs into Paradox if I remember right.
Today is my 17th birthday and this was the first japanese song i ever listened to and it will be always Always my favourite song till the day i die period.
