What annoys me about buying a box or multiple boxes is what Konami chooses to make a surplus. Clearly, the new cards are why people are buying the set which you'd want full playsets of, but you only got 2 doom kraken, 2 electric jellyfish, and 1 fish sonar. But they overload you with cards Buzzsaw shark, saber shark, and cyber sharks, only one of which sees a lot of play.
@@kingscrubby6560 not in the long run. Lets say you are after a specific ultra rare card worth $20. You could buy a box for $60 and still wont have a 100% chance of pulling that ultra. Whereas if you buy singles, you can have a playset of the ultra rare for the same price as a box
As someone who plays a Shark Xyz deck in the tcg abd master duel both Nash knights, Abyss, and Crystal Shark are so good. Just Crystal Shark alone can mess up your opponents monsters if you have Stealth Kragen on the field. This is because you can special summon Crystal Shark from your hand or GY by halving the attack of a WATER monster on the field. So since Stealth Kragen turns everything into a water monster you can halve your opponents monster to summon it.
The jpn versions being called Naphil Asylum Hath Knight & its chaos upgraded form, i have listed as support for the Number Archetype in that script (although it needs to be slightly revised thanks to a new Utopia form, go figure)
I play Marincess and the way they become immune to card effects is link summoning with crystal heart while battle ocean is on the field. I really enjoy playing them in master duels and it seems people don't read card effects. would love to see the archetype video on marincess to see if I can learn more about them. have a lovely rest of the year
I saw this, went "Ha lol, imagine having a mako deck" but then I remember that Legendary ocean is my favourite type type of goat deck I am the freaky fish guy
A lot of the old school Umi monsters actually got retrains recently. I expect that most, if not all of them are in this set since they decided to put Mako Tsunami of all OG Yugioh characters on this box (could have easily been Shark or Nash).
It's interesting to see a lot of Shark/Nash related card in this, especially because I'm rewatching Zexal right now. I love the Marincess cards. They actually look like they could have been used by Rio/Marin if the anime was produced today. I'm surprised there aren't any cards related to her in this. Would have expected Number 94 and 103 as well.
@@GoneRampant Unfortunately, most people who aren't in Japan love DM way more than Zexal and pretty much don't care about Zexal at all (same could be said for anything after DM tbh). Everyone hating the dub from GX onward is likely a big reason for the TCG marketing always leaning on DM
The only thing I'm sad about this opening is they have Levia Dragon - Daedalus...but not Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo Daedalus. While it's cool they've got Kairyu-Shin as an ODL, I want the TRUE boss monster xD
@@MirageCross I still have the original error printing of it from the structure deck. Where it didn't require Daedalus and was just "nuke the board for free" xD
@@MirageCross I know, right? The original effect from the first round of structure deck releases was basically just: "Send Umi on the field to send all cards in both players hands and on the field to the graveyard except for this card." The 2nd printing kept the same effect, but just required Levia Dragon be tributed to summon. So a little slower as it can't be normal summoned/set. I may have to build a deck now because it seems MUCH easier to summon now xD
I like how you just go straight thru the cards. some youtubers stretch out their video read the cards and their effects. you just steam roll them and thats what i llike
Wish they keep Nash/Shark as the pack art like in ocg instead Mako. but the dub version of zexal was bad compared to it source which was really good in jp also DM nostalgia sells in the west (Still pissed about pack art though).
i just read through the battle city rules and nowhere does it state that a player loses if they run out of cards. don't believe me? read em yourself Participants must have a ranking of at least five out of eight stars (manga and original anime) or level three out of five (English dub anime) to receive a free Duel Disk, which is required to participate. Players must play with a Deck of at least forty cards, with at least one rare card in it. Players begin with 4000 Life Points. Players can only have up to 6 cards in his or her hand unless the card "Infinite Cards" is in play on his/her side of the field. In the manga, the hand limit is 7. Players have a maximum of five minutes to think during their turn. One Normal Summon is allowed per player per turn. Monsters can be Summoned in face-up Attack Position, face-up Defense Position or face-down Defense Position. Level 4 or below monsters can be Summoned during a Normal Summon. Level 5-6 monsters needed one Tribute in order to Normal Summon. Level 7-9 monsters required two Tributes to Normal Summon. Level 10+ monsters required three Tributes to normal summon (e.g "The Winged Dragon of Ra", Level 10). When a Fusion Monster is Tributed, that monster is counted as a number of monsters equal to the number of Fusion Material Monsters that were used. Fusion Monsters must wait one turn after they are Summoned before they can attack, though the "Quick Attack" card can be used to circumvent this. In the manga, any monster Ritual Summoned or Special Summoned from the Graveyard also cannot attack the turn it is Special Summoned. If a player has no monsters on their field, their opponent can attack directly. Each player must ante at least their rarest card and a minimum of one Locator Card in their possession. The winner of the Duel obtains their opponent's rarest card and Locator Card, as wagered. The contents of either player's Graveyards are not public knowledge, and an opponent may not look through their opponent's Graveyard. If you have to discard cards from your hand or Deck, you do not have to show them to your opponent. You must stick to the tournament's list of forbidden and limited cards. Cards that directly damage[note 1] players or monsters, such as "Raigeki" and "Hinotama" were forbidden. Only one copy of "Monster Reborn" could be included in one's Deck. Certain cards that enabled players to Special Summon one specific Type of monster(s) can affect both sides of the field ("Dark Magic Curtain" and "The Flute of Summoning Dragon", for example). Players were not allowed to use two or more Magic Cards of the same name that increase a card's ATK points within the same turn. The opponent can activate a card or card effect before the turn player draws a card during their Draw Phase. If a monster is offered as a Tribute by the effect of another card while being attacked by an opponent's monster, the enemy's attack is negated. The Japanese version of the anime and manga calls this rule, "Sacrifice Escape". Replays are not an established mechanic. While a direct attack is occurring because the attacked player controls no monsters, if the attacked player adds a monster to their side of the field, that monster intercepts the attack; if a monster is targeted for an attack, but it leaves the field before damage calculation, the attack ends. Players can Set Field Spell Cards in their Spell & Trap Card Zones but when they activate them, they get moved to the Field Zone. Field Spell Cards can be activated during the Battle Phase. A non-Quick Play Spell Card can be activated during the Battle Phase. A Set non-Quick Play Spell Card can be activated during your opponent's turn. When a Spell or Trap is destroyed by a card effect, it is negated even if the card that destroyed the Spell/Trap doesn't negate its effects. A monster that becomes an Equip Card is treated as both a monster and an Equip Card. Effects that require the player and the opponent to have cards in their hand can be activated even if one of the players has no cards in their hand. Tokens do not take up a Monster Zone. When a Token is Summoned, it becomes the attack target instead. When a card is sent to the Graveyard, it is sent to the controller's Graveyard, not the owner's. In the manga, players could only control up to 5 cards of any type at a time. In the manga, players have certain restrictions of activating and Setting Spell and Trap Cards. One can activate only 1 Spell Card from their hand per turn. One can Set only 1 Spell Card per turn. One can Set only 1 Trap Card per turn.
I was wondering something: If i activate vision hero Faris's effect and put vision hero Vyon in my backrow ,can i activate his effect to banish 1hero monster and add polymerization???
I’m here to leave a like on the video and end my turn. Anyways I haven’t collected Yu-Gi-Oh cards in a long time even though I’m still a fan of the game. The only time I’m playing the game is either on that new Yu-Gi-Oh game that just came out (Master Duelist I think) or Legacy Of The Duelist Link Evolution
Broh! you are the BEST of the BESTS! pls, do more of the "This guy was bout to beat this guy?" those videos are really brutal, they are too damn nice!!... and pls, do it with Aigami against Kaiba, or the one You want! >XD jaja... thanks for the videos, I like all your videos!... And I try to see every new video! A big hug from Colombia and have a nice day dear friend!
@@mackansw True but King's Court got announced around mid March, but we still didn't get no announcement for this year's set, I think that it's probably delayed.
Torrential tribute definitely sees a bit of play. Got a full board and about to go into my boss monsters and it annihilates all my cards. Mirror force can actually have quite a devestating effect even on the modern meta
Does anyone know a good card set where I can get a large amount or nearly all of the Dragunity archetype? I remember this recent one but it wasn't packing Areadbhair and Romulus I think It be greatly appreciated. also I'd love to see the coverage of this archetype it's something I think a lot of people sleep on
Also make sure that you get Mystletainn & Leyvaten from the old structure as you will need it. Senatus , Couse , and Luin are all in the 2019 mega pack / Cybernetic horizon. Mystic fighters have the reprint of dragon ravine.
I'm really not too interested in this set. I'm sure tons of people love it for all the water monsters but I'm looking for more 5Ds era cards. More Akiza, Leo, and Luna. Feels like they were forgotten
@@joeyhoward-williams8853 If there is new ocg cards then that's great and yeah there was some new stuff for Akiza but nothing compared to how much og dark magician support, pendulum support, or hero support is still being made.
@@flowmotionyt8 morphtronics support coming soon, but idk luna's support ever came ( idk even her archetypes usage too lol ) and ancient fairy dragon is banned
@@flowmotionyt8 yeah for sure on the magician and blue eyes support is too much, but pendelums have only right now gotten a good link otherwise they havent seen real support in years. the akiza support was lit so much so that ppl are just using a few of the cards in any deck for synchro stuff, and one of the most powerful cards in the game released 7 months ago is a destiny hero card...so theres plenty of cool stuff for everyone
