One of my biggest wishes is That Yu-Gi-Oh! can eventually get a re-release on the same level of quality as Jojo's Jojonium hardcover release, where the special-colored pages are not filtered out. SO MUCH of Yu-Gi-Oh's colored pages are practically nonexistent outside of its original serialization in weekly Shonen jump. The first chapter Yugi and Haga's duel was entirely in color, but you wouldn't know that because every release of it was grayscaled to keep printing costs low (and there's no excuse for these special pages to not be featured in their digital releases). The digitally colored editions are not a good substitute either, because it is just a painfully average imitation of the real thing. The Yu-Gi-Oh! manga should be treated better than this. (The biggest factor of viz never doing this is probably because Takahashi went and redid some of the dialogue in Yu-Gi-Oh! for its bukoban re-release in 2007, which would mean that viz would have to translate the series all over again, which sucks. the fact that we'll likely never see the changes Takahashi made, not only to the story, but some of the art as well, saddens me)
GOATed video from the GOAT himself about a GOATed series, can't get much better than this! Though I am surprised you didn't show Yu-Gi-Oh! R or the AniManga in the video with them
Goated series. I have all the singles except for the original 7, whenever I see sets online it’s always the black spines so I just gotta wait patiently
volume 6 and 10 of duelist took me a minute to find for a decent price. i got super lucky that they were at half priced books. the only volume im missing from the Yu-Gi-Oh! line is volume 6 of GX
Did you start collecting before the price hikes or after? At both points it was a bit difficult to collect the whole series. Just like you, I found some of the series at HPB though.
I ended up picking up volume's 58 to 68 of one piece and jojo's bizarre adventure part 1 volume's 1,2 on the 1st out to timemaster .And on the 16th im planning on ordering volume 3 of oshi no ko ,blue lock volume 8,volume 15 of dan a dan ,volume 35 of my hero academia, and i might end up ordering volume's 8,9 of uzaki-chan wants to hang out on the 24th. And im also planning on going out to time master again on the 5th of October when i gets my gst to pick up volume's 13 of call of the night & volume 13 of mashle magic and muscles, plus jojo's bizarre adventure part 1vol 3 and part 2 volume's 1,2,3,4.
Idk why yugioh and Dbz are the only mangas that i want 3 in 1. Its good to beacuse i have no more space at the moment. That said i like the differences between the anime and manga. Sometimes i wonder how different the manga wouldve been if the cards didnt become the main focus. Would Pegasus or marik be the same? I hope one day you talk about this series
Is the a difference between the 3-1 to the original mangas? Anything added or taken out? Updated images? I’m looking to start investing in these but not sure if there’s a difference. Investing for enjoyment.
I have the omnibus aswell I only ever read up yo dungeon dice monsters arc so far but it's is so dark they literally talk about death in every chapter 😅 nothing like the anime but it's pretty good series to read so I would definitely recommend it 😊
Love this full-cover footage of all the volumes... This is great! Thank you. All the covers look really nice, but the 3-in-1s have my favorite color combo's. EDIT: And the info you provide in this video is great. So the singles are made of three sets: 1-7 then 1-24 then 1-7. The 3-in-1 editions are 13 physical books with 1-38 volumes (7 + 24 + 7).
Used to have it all in Japanese for some reason, forgot about it and it was chilling under my bed at my parents house. and sold it for nearly 500$ Awesome video !!
