I agree, I hate how the current theme right now only plays for the opponent and not you. Btw you can get this theme to play if your opponent is equiping the world legacy duel stage.
This is literally just a game based on a card game. They didn’t have to be this epic lol. So glad they did though. Feels like you are dueling for the fate of the world.
I literally never played Yugioh before, I started playing yesterday when I find these OSTs from watching a stream. Playing Generaider deck rn, pretty fun.
Now imagine how it felt when this song was playing and then, when I summon Haar from Loptr effect, his image shows up and the Boss of Storms falls to the field making the board tremble while the melody changes to a more epic one. Dude...it was like a effing eargasm!!!!!

0:00 - 2:09 Something about this duel theme makes me feel very emotional, especially with the powerful vocals and strings. I've played it on the way to work several times and felt two different emotions on separate occasions: sometimes it's empowering and makes me feel determined, while other times it makes me feel sad as though I'm slowly marching to my doom. Music is so powerful.
I guess that is why Konami set it to play during the Monarchs’ story; it kinda symbolizes them as they are described marching across worlds leaving only destruction in their wake (the power) and also can evoke the feelings of sorrow as if you are watching these giants approaching you from afar as entire cities fall to their unyielding march.
That's awesome :) I actually associate it more strongly with Ningirsu's grief for his sister's sacrifice, and his journey to revive Ib's soul. I never expected that World Legacy story to make me cry. Maybe it's just me, but I also noticed a lot of overlapping in story between that and No Game No Life: Zero. I created a Vampire + Arcalich Deck and this theme fit so well... The Lords of the Night and their dark city meet again in the Golden City (one of the 7) with their Lord Arcalich. I even made up a lore about how vampires are denizens of the golden and forbidden city of Arcalich. They being his faithful vampire servants.

It's hilarious how we're almost 2 years in and Konami has still yet implemented a music toggle into the game despite *everyone* requesting it in the surveys. We don't like hearing the same 1-2 themes over and over again when there are other banger tracks that go criminally underutilized
I think they already changed to theme to what you are currently equipping, you will hear it and not for your opponent. I always hear this ost on the legacy board and my opponents are on the basic field

@@MarkSeinIII Yeah i tried searching with keywords like that but the few tracks i listend to where not what i was looking for. The intrumental music was epic in all of them but I'm missing that oprea like singing like it is in this theme. The other themes I listend to have had only these faint vocals that were mostly in the background. This theme sounds similar to some of the nier automata ost's like "a beautiful song" and some others but I still have no idea what this kind of music genre is.
