I never thought of using his trap card to tribute him for LP, I didn't even realise it brought out phoenix mode straight after either! I definitely need to give this a go.
Im still mad that Ra has all this support and all Slifer and Obelisk have are opposite board wipes, one takes out traps/spells while the other takes out monsters, both of these spells can’t be searched so there useless. Only good Egyptian god card support for all 3 is soul crossing, being able to sacrifice your opponent’s monsters that can’t be targeted or destroyed by card effects is actually insane, it’s second effect can cost you a game though if your not careful, it locks you at one effect per turn till your next end phase, but it’s kinda like using a sphere mode but on your opponent’s turn so the pay off can be really satisfying. Also using queen/king/jack knights support is really good for a Slifer deck and even good for ra because they can actually search both of them with it, obelisk however he’s got the monarchs, funny how we have to combine the god cards with other decks, Konami really doesn’t like them. The sacred beasts wipe the floor with the Egyptian gods, the irony as there considered the fake gods.
@blade7phosphorus696: Soul crossing will also work on opponent monster that are unaffected by spell card, this is because the effect of soul crossing is a tributed summoned that allows the used of your opponent monster if you which to do so, not an effect that tributed for a tributed summoned
It’s because the vanilla Ra is extremely meh, but immortal Phoenix by comparison is insanely good. Immortal Phoenix is immune to all effects, and it’s effect to pay life points to remove a card from field is just better than the regular ra’s
@@aguythatplayscardgames1181 non targeting non- destruction removal + immune to all other card effects + 4 k body only downside is the summoning condition + impermanence of it.
In 9:45 you could just summon ra from the gy with monster reborn than just use its effect and and destroy ra himself to summon immortal phoenix than use its effect on code talker to get rid of it and you will still have 700 LP left than attack with immortal for the win )

@@frankraym Yes, it's very hard to win in Gold with this deck. I made it to 4 then went on a 4 losing streak lol. Unless you you have a back up plan with your extra deck with link or other monsters its very hard to win because the Meta is summoning a gazillion monsters that negate everything on there battle phase. I have always been a fan of the Original Yugioh and casual player and the game has changed alot with how many monsters they summon. But I love the egytian god cards and the the OG archetypes and that's why I play. Sometimes I just want to find a toxic ass deck where I negate all their special summons. 😅🤣😅🤣😅
