*YU YU HAKUSHO* EPISODE 5 REACTION | LIVE ACTION | NETFLIX 

You guys just missing the structure difference. First, understand that LA of some anime will be more like a shortened movie version of it. What we got with this LA, was Yusuke revival, 3 artifact retrieval, and then a combination of Torukane manor/dark tournament, with a hint of chapter black with the portal(though that WAS his main motive behind the scenes too). So you gotta understand, the dark tournament is done, that was it. You may not like it as much as the anime and I agree it was a little too quick, but that was it. I wish they had saved Toguro for later seasons so they could have done it better, but we got this, and I'm somewhat happy with it. What these leaves open though is this: S2: Saint beasts, maybe Rando in some way(it's fine to backtrack to "weaker" villains, because different medium, different story, and saint beasts powersets could DEFINITELY LOOK stronger than toguro.) S3: Chapter black. This even left the door open for the portal, as the machine is still there. There was even a mention of him wishing he could see it happen, implying we might, but he won't. Sensui could do this, and succeed, leading into s4 S4: 3 kings arc. Complete rewrite from the manga, closer to the anime, but hopefully a bit better than either as it was definitely the worst arc of yyh.

Toguro ... one of the best Anime Villain ever existed. Dude total badass!

its 4.5/5 for me. im glad we got to see the toguro fight on the first season. im not willing to wait 20 years for the toguro fight if we tackle the 1:1 manga ratio lmao

Can't give it a score higher than 3.75 to be honest because the OPLA exists and you can't not compare the two. OPLA should be the blueprint for successful LA done correctly. I gave that 4.0/5.0. This had arguably better choreography with the fights. I did enjoy myself watching as a old time Yuyu Hakusho fan but not nearly as much I did the OPLA. So, 3.50 - 3.75 is about right.
