This is why some people are unhappy with the end sensui was selfish just looking for redemption and didn't really care about anything else. There was a small symbolism that's hard to see but if you look close you see an upside down cross before yusuke regains his senses.this next arc gets a lot of hate , but keep in mind togashi was starting to shut down so if the arc goes downhill it's because togashi was slowly burning out

There were possible hints of Yusuke's ancestry within the first few eps, it was said that he had an unusual life force or something to that effect. I like to think that when he unleashed his full power against Toguro, with the red aura flashes and rising pheonix aura, King Enma detected trace amounts of demonic energy and started to investigate his ancestry. And discovered the truth during this arc.

i am sooo glad you liked the Mazaku (demonkin) change. I know lots of people say it’s not good but I totally agree with what you said - it’s good enough. Watching this when i was younger, def yeah i went with it and enjoyed the ride. I loved that the Demon ancestor came out. that there was truly a consequence instead of just being reborn stronger.

I still think it's one of bigger asspulls demonkin. Even though there were possible hints of it. I didnt mind it because fight was savage. Also after this arc I started realize there were no really villains in Yu Yu Hakusho. Both Toguro and Sensui had inner motivation to die after things they did in past. And both found answer in Yusuke. Sensui likely recognized Toguro's wish as it was his wish so he only appeared after Toguro died to carry his plan and play villain till the end. Because in human realm there was really no potential before to get on his level. That's why line from Sensui from earlier to Koenma, how he waited 10 years or so in shadow for Koenma to appoint new Spirit Detective. Which is in one way commended given we now knew that Sensui only had more or less a month to live.

48:38-49:06 It was explained in episode 91 that the demonkin identity was well hidden, when Yusuke first died in episode 1 his body didn't have the ability nor the capacity to handle the awakening process, he was just a human, that's why Yusuke's "true nature" went undetected thus far by King Yama and the defense force. But after becoming a spirit detective and training, the stronger Yusuke was getting the more clues and red flags were given for the confirmation.

Thats the thing. King Yama didn't knew about Yusuke but it just happen to find out while investigating his inheritance. Cuz if he knew before then he would have acted earlier then here.

Dope reaction. I was pretty satisfied with the ending considering I watched HxH and understood a bit how Togashi’s writing works. But I think it would’ve been way better if they stretched out a bit of this Arc, it was damn good. You think this deserves a remake/remastered with crisp animation and better OSTs? I would easily love it bc some of the animation really looked hilarious considering how far we’ve come and the use of the OST in some parts was really dumb. Thanks for the reaction.

to answer the big question, he didn't know, it was something they only found out after it was too late, tracking ancestory 44 generations back is rough. but there is still contununity problems, like 400 generations ago if that barrior didn't exist, well, humans would just all be dead, i guess we are to believe deamons were not really that good at their jobs yet

Man, i never thought i was to encounter a person that agreed with my perspective about how naruto in the manga is better than the anime, oh boy, the people always tell me that the anime is better and things like that, but for example if you saw the Battle with Might Guy vs Madara in Anime and manga or you saw when Obito died in anime and manga, you can tell that the manga is a lot better. And those are only the first examples that cross my mind, and there are a lot more.

Hi, European guy here! :) You did well sticking with the sub version. I think I can explain why there are so many people infatuated with the the dubbed version. First of all, many of them grew up with the dubbed show on television, and got used to its artificial enhancements. And what I mean by that is, the dialoque has been altered in a way to add more entertainment value - a cluster of endless one-liners, over the top sarcasm, snarky remarks, cussing, ranting, hating on everything for no reason - you know, all those things that make people laugh. Of course, none of that can be found in the subbed version, which in comparison seems really "dull". Personally, I don't like the dub for its warped portrayal of the characters, as well as for the idea that it is okay to rewrite Togashi's work in order to shoehorn in somebody else's personal comedy preferences. You experienced yourself that the show is perfectly enjoyable in its original version, and there is nothing wrong with that! Kudos to you! :)

I'm really like the final arc that you will start to watch right now. Lot's of questions raised here will be explained and cleared. And after finishing the anime, i suggest you to read the manga, because it has an epilogue chapter that never got animated and fill your question about Enma atitude in this video.

Hey! I've been subscribed for some time now, since you started YuYu Hakusho. I was surprised by the fact that you watched the first episodes in both sub and dub and you chose dub, but that's perfectly understandable. I compared the dub and the sub and I think the dub is objectively better, Yusuke's screams of pain in the cave, the trash talk, the cocky but intelligent voice of Hiei... And Sensui, of course. However, no matter how good the dub is, the japanese audio is still great and probably better for some watchers like yourself. It's a shame that some people use reaction channels in such an egoistic way, completely ignoring or even disturbing others' first time watching through. I'm sure some of them like to put reaction videos as a background thing while they work on other stuff, but their attitude towards others is shameful.

Just watch this anime in dub on your own time. you literally missed so much cause either you couldn't read as fast as they talk. Either way you missed so much and it's explained better in dub
