I mean, their souls fused together right? Would be kinda awkward to fuse with a monster who only wants to be together with you and then just go "yeah Neos still clears I'm SORRY"
Ya, it can contact fusion into a conga line of dudes...... That just so happens to also be a sudo negate all without using your normal summon. I have already seen so eild set ups with it's new stuff.
Certainly helped me win matches on Master Duel's ranked mode. Most randos I dueled while using the Yubel is my opponent panicking so much they Surrender, because of knowing what Yubel can with their new to Master Duel, support cards. I DO have some duels with the deck I have to work for to win, but allot of my opponents quit their duels against the Yubel deck I use. Yubel decks however, are awful in mirror matches with that same archetype, due to them not having any attack or defense to reflect damage from
mmm, i do think splashing it into unchained does make it more of a regional level deck, but rn it's also dependent on your opponent not knowing what the yubel cards do
even if the opponent knows what the cards do it's not a simple deck to stop or interact with one it gets rolling beyond the combo he showcased here. which imo is the weakest combo ever and I could see why people don't respect the deck when it can do so much more with the current support.
@@Gilgamesh-em6ru Yubel is a deck that does so much when it gets going, but it's not the easiest deck to get going, and the stuff it does isn't all that impressive against a meta deck.
@@qty1315 it's pretty easy to get going with yubel. like I've said people just don't want to put in the effort to learn it. It's still doing something at the regional level of events. I've played against so many different decks and it rarely feels like it was hopeless to win with yubel.
He’ll ghoedtgrinder golem is really slept on because it can help you get started and turn off hand traps like imperm and also turn off lightning storm to protect the back row
@@ALX33477 Yubel synergizes well with Unchained because Yubel WANTS to be destroyed, and Unchained is all about destroying your own cards to trigger helpful effects
Yubel unchained aka: stop hitting yourself stop hitting yourself lol I actually grabbed myself some knightmare link monsters to jokingly call it "Yubel, The Unchained Nightmare"
My favorite home for this engine is in Fire King (replacing Snake-Eye) partly as a tribute to the Fire King Yubel deck from Duel Links. FK can put a lot of extra bodies on board to fill Defender’s burn on the opponent’s turn and you can use island to destroy a Spirit stuck in the hand. It’s a fun deck to mess around with. EDIT: I misremembered how “Yubel”s effect works.
@@FrankOcean-- Yubel does though in their evolved form: Yubel Terror Incarnate. If your Endphase happens and there are monsters on the field besides that card, Yubel Terror Incarnate will destroy all monsters on the field except themself, including both your monsters and your opponent's
It would be neat to move the 'camera' in the combo section further up (towards the opponent) so that you can see the whole card in the EMZ instead of just its unreadable text box. You would still see the card art of whatever is in hand which is enough to know which card it is. (Didn't come up in this one, but I'm reposting hoping MBT might have this changed at some point.)
Yubel also has a mega easy otk combo for going second, although it requires you to not get ashed to pull off. Still, even if you get ashed youre ending with a yubel on board and could pivot into eternal favorite if theres still a search you can use
Your wait has been rewarded. Yubel's new support is now in Master Duel. We can even buy a card Protector from the shop that is of Yubel's featured on the pack's fusion form.
People really underestimate Yubel right now. The key is to make use of the unchained cards. Turn 1 you can end on Unchained Soul of Rage (3 interrupts with SP), guarantee search supper poly, and have lotus on board for a monster negate. That's 5 interrupts and you only need Dark Beckoning Beast and Lotus in the starting hand. And it's really consistent cos you can basically run 9 copies of each by using Piri Reis Map since it searches either of them. You run just a small unchained package in the main with the 2 LV 6 cards from DUNE and 1 trap. And if you draw one of them then you can actually use it as a 3 card combo to add Wave High King Caesar to the standard end board. THAT'S 7 INTERRUPTS BABY! The deck is pretty good going second too. You already main deck 3 Super Poly to break boards, all your monsters float when destroyed, and you have easy and consistent OTK lines with Geist Grinder Golem + 2 lv 10 Yubels into Gustav Max MP2 = 8k dmg. All this and you can main deck shifter in the 9 hand trap slots for the deck. Honestly this deck right now is minimum high tier rogue, and it's already topping regionals, and I don't even know if those players have optimised the deck or combos fully yet, cos I see so many missplays. It took me a while to master my current build but I can say for sure it's super underrated just because people aren't trying it enough with the excuse that "it's not at full power yet".
I think the deck currently has a lot of potential with the current support but most people are too lazy to experiment with the deck until the new support comes out. it can end on the unchained end board and some more. is it better than snake eyes? No but I think it's better than some of the other options and will surprise people when played by people who actually tested with different lines.
I do wish that I was able to find Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever before the Phantom Nightmare pack was removed from various store shelves. Long story, but essentially, I went to three stores that sold Yu-Gi-Oh cards, and the moment I saw the artwork of Yubel - TLDF, I knew I had to find her. So I went to the stores that sold this starter pack and both multiple packs. And yet, despite me buying multiple packs, multiple times, I could never find this one card. And then one day, I went to my local store as per usual, and the Phantom Nightmare starter packs were nowhere to be found. At first I thought that they were sold out and needed to be restocked, and so I left and waited next week for a restock. But nope, no restock.
If you wouldn't play this deck to honour the late great Hiromi Tsuru, then you're no friend of mine. Her performance as Yubel's primary voice was amazing.
Run Patricain of Darkness. Have Patricain with Yubel and Lair of darkness on the field. Whenever they attack use Patricain's effect to force the attack to hit Yubel. Then use Lair's effect to sacrifice their monster to keep yubel on the field.
There are multiple different ways to get your combos started aside from normal summoning lotus. If you use zalamander catalyzer you can literally special summon any fiend monster directly from your hand. If you decide to run a branded Yubel Deck, you can use Albion the sanctifier dragon to special summon Yubel to your opponent's field and Albaz to your field and then something in the loving Defender using just one of your monsters and all of your opponent's monsters. You can also use muckraker to summon any Yubel monster from the graveyard and reoccurring nightmare let's you recover any monster with zero defense from your graveyard. That includes Albaz and any Yubel monster. You can also use a single copy of Slash draw to recover a shit ton of cards from your graveyard like super polymerization add branded Fusion. I use primarily project ignis and Yubel is surprisingly Adept at dealing with full power Kashtira. Watch out for those ashes though, if you're not careful they'll shut down your whole play.
Yubel was one of my favorite cards since the GX series aired. I always wanted more thematic support for her. Actually just got my first booster box of Phantom Mightmare and got Loving Defender on my last pack. Sadly not the quarter century rare one.
Actually even without the support that will be coming out after phantom nightmare yubel can still have an even more terrifying board of like a yubel and a couple extra of the upgrades and a 3k monster on the opponents board that when attacked gives you 3k life and with one of the spells 3k damage to your opponent from like 3 different yubel's
A friend of mine that plays competitive Yu-Gi-Oh, talked to me about Yubel-Unchained, so i cooked a Chimera-Yubel-Unchained on YGO Omega. That shit is amazing😂
Yubel is a prototype mikanko in my opinion and it’s much much harder to summon her true form “yubel the ultimate nightmare” cause you have to keep Yubel alive for 3 turns
Grinder Ghost Golem wasn't mentioned😅. I usually Grinder ghost to pop Yubel vanilla to summon form 2, can then SS samsara or Grave squirmer to pop him for ultimate or pop spirit of Yubel then crash into Golemn twice, if they still alive go into railcannon and burn for 2k 😂
To be honest. If they can make Yubel playable then they have no excuse for not making other older archtypes tiered good! I mean just look at Meklords and what they have done to it. Just make a bland "get a monster with big numbers on board" and then completely ignore the whole identity of the deck in the first place. Meanwhile the support and etc with Yubel focusses on Yubel and what Yubel does! Imagine a Meklord deck in whuch the newer support focusses on a unique anti extra deck tactics that punishes each extra deck summoning in a unique way....
Mikanko battle reflection as an applied effect and in arch-protection: “nah it’s too gimmicky” Yubel activated battle reflection with only battle protection: “this shit gas”
Man this makes remember how Ghoti got slept on despite being a solid deck. So many broken cards and decks out at the time that it just got shadowed honestly can't wait for Snake Eyes to get absolutely demolished by the banlist since being Tier 0 means that well it brings in alot of money it needs to be destroyed when Konami wants to release newer packs.
I remembered I dueled some with yubel deck while I'm playing eldlich floo deck, he got destroyed because of skill drain negates yubel's effect and took a direct atk damages
I already have all the yubel carfds and i will go to the east europe comicon with yubel unchaine hoping to pull the new cards from the new set because it will have the prerelease then if i dont pull them i will play horus yubel but i have a hard time to chose a deck for unchained yubel with the new support
Deck is more flexible uf u put a small unchained Engine and maybe a resonator for lvl 12 generic synchros who u can then use with crimson dragon to go into either calamity or supernova or even sifr dragon. Sifr dragon is goood since it can protect all cards on your field once per turn once each
its fucking mental that something like that isn't even considered viable anymore...back in my day you got excited the turn you got to cheat out one monster
glad to see MBT try to give some credit to cards that others would dismiss as Gimmicky Garbage (idea for future Cimooo series???) and at least try to show off the potential Yubel can have on their own
