When I lived in North Carolina, Yuengling was always my go to cheap beer. I think it's actually a pretty nice beer, pretty much the best version of an American macro lager. I also am a big fan of the Porter, Black & Tan, and Oktoberfest. They recently expanded to Texas, which I recently visited, and brought some back, but I unfortunately found it was very bad. It tasted like Budweiser (American). I don't know if it was storage, production, or what, but definitely not as good as East Coast Yuengling.

Agreed on it being the best version of the american macro lager, couldn't have put it better. That's sad to hear about the ones you got in Texas, I wonder what was the culprit there.

Everytime i head out east in the US i make sure to get a pint of yingling. great beer!

I'm amazed that people and the reviewers are calling this a cheap beer. Yuengling is a Premium Lager and it is sold as such. I'm in the DMV area, only about 3 1/2hrs away from the original brewery, so I've been spoiled for years with this great premium lager......not cheap in taste nor pricing. Take the tour of the brewery. You will not be disappointed!!!

i've always seen yuenling in the stores here but never tried it. saw this review posted and went to get some to have while watching it. i agree guys, it's really good. i think it'll be a go to this summer for me.

As an old guard 80s Beer lover of PBR MHL Genny Cream Milwaukees Best tried it finally and really loved it Taste was mellow slight sweet no bite in mouth or down throat thus now it is my new main go to beer at home ! Thnx again for the review!

Across the street from Yankee Stadium, there was a bar -not sure if it’s still there- where Yuengling was all they sold

No it’s Not a “great beer”! It’s not a “craft beer”! It’s not even “the best macro lager in the country “! What it is is Over rated…Over priced and Over everything! It’s an American adjunct macro lager! Nothing More Nothing less! Plain and simple! It’s good to have maybe three or four times a year. I could go on but what’s the point? I’m still going to get slammed for Not falling all over this beer! It’s a “good beer” Plain and Simple! And I still can’t seem to get a Straight answer on the malted barley question! They don’t even actually malt their own barley! The Color? What’s up with that?
