Any time I play the og FF7, recruiting Yuffie is the first thing I do outside Midgar. Whenever Rebirth comes to pc, she's automatically accepted. I love how she just lines up right into the group though.

Yuffie is the star of the how tbh. While the rest are pretty much the same as OG FF7 at this point of the game. They put a lot of effort into Yuffie and its great.

Yuffie is cute in a her own way. She’s the kind of kid that is very good at what she does but she has no confidence probably due to her parents constantly putting her down. So she constantly tries to prove herself to others…while in the actual fact she doesn’t need to

Yuffie is adorable, I know they put her in a few “shipping” scenes with Cloud, but they were the joke ones (like the Loveless play). She honestly gives little sister energy to everyone, especially Cloud. They’re so cute together in that way, I’m hoping for more big brother/little sister energy in the next game ❤

AHH, ya'll got it easy, back in the old days, you had to encounter and fight her and if you failed to get the right sequence of responses, she would steal your money and you would have to repeat the process

i really hoped she would join the team after we saved her...wanted to complete Junon with her on my team

the og method of getting her was so much better. she was a random battle encounter in the woods. after you beat her she would talk smack and threaten to fight you if you went into the menu she would run off and the screen had a save point and if you accessed the menu to save before fighting her she would escape too. it was ok because to retry the sequence all you would have to do is try and get in another random battle encounter with her. the way the developers used the tried and true mechanics of the game to subvert your expectations about what will happen. (about to fight someone but have an opportunity to heal/save and then use those habits against you) help to provide further characterization to yuffie and let you know through mechanics that she doesnt 'play by the rules'

So I genuinely picked all the rejection options beside “…Sure” thinking that complying with her would make her more happy. totally forgot about the original game.

Hmm, I didn't know it was possible in this game to actually NOT get Yuffie. That's a pretty nice throwback to the fact that I never actually came across Yuffie in my first playthrough of FF7 back in the day so I didn't know anything about the character until much much later. That being said, there's NO WAY I wasn't going to pick up Yuffie as she showed just how good of a character she is from the DLC of Remake and I've been very glad to see that they didn't nerf her at all in this game but instead brought up the other characters a bit to make them more useful. Yuffie is still an incredible glass cannon and I'm thoroughly enjoying experimenting with different group convos to take full advantage of what she brings to the table.

Enjoy these moments folks....because when it's over.....you're going to feel sadness and disappointment that it's over and it will be years before getting a game like this again. The few other jrpgs that came out recently are trash, including FF16.

I hate that you can not actually all out reject her. You should be able to not have her join the group at all.

So basically, be dismissive of her, then play to her ego, and then you can get to to join your party immediately.

i was wondering what happens if you just straight up reject her. i find her so annoying i wanted to say no right away but i didnt know how that would affect the story if you just didnt have her in your party but i guess even if you say no she just keeps asking.
