I love how they position Kaito to actually be a pretty amicable guy even here: He doesn't want his opponent to fear losing - and is willing to explain the situation to his opponents, Though once the stakes are accidentally exposed by Orbital he confirms them himself - not keeping them ambiguous, He respects Yuma's determination even though it comes up short and even shows some mild recognition of Yuma's tactics, Is willing to abandon the duel - even hunting two numbers at once - to immediately rush to the aid of his brother in distress. Absolutely legendary character and introduction.
It’s criminal what they did to him in arc v, dude was a menace in this show, spoilers below but if you don’t intend to watch zexal then go ahead and read Kaito is the only rival to never lose to the main character, there was this duel, then they drew at the end of the season, then he beat Yuma again at the end of season 2, he only loses ONCE, and that was because haruto would’ve died if he won, he legit was unstoppable, another reason zexal is peak
deep down, we all know Kaito won this duel. and no you can't use "but it was interrupted" as an excuse. we all know what would happen: Yuma and Astral lost and Kaito won without taking a SINGLE point of damage
Kaito was using such an ass deck Using 6 cards to summon 2 stupid beatsticks and then tribute galaxy eyes for a nice minus 6 for a 3k beat stick who can’t even out an numbers monster in Defense position 😂 Bro was topdecking like crazy and of course too decks cerberus, otherwise Yuma would just put everything in def and kaito would have to continue drawing something. Yuma on the other hand played an ass deck, while kaito was playing a CALCULATED ASS Deck. Yuma just put situational cards and was hanging on, conserving resources for an eventual big push, fully utilising his upside of playing defence and waiting for the opponent to throw out his card advantage. Yuma had like 2/3 simple but effective random combos, while Kaito constructed a deck to go super minus just to summon a meh xyz number monster, also to throw those monsters to the trash to summon galaxy. Like I know, the anime goes for an angle where he is stronger, but damn his resource management sucks, both decks are ass, but Kaito deliberately made his one ass, and yuma half assed a better deck. 😊
A time-slowing field specifically designed to only allow people who possesses numbers monsters to move, and a laser lasso tailor-made to prevent a target from going too far from the capture without first finishing a duel. That's one hell of a lot of plot conveniences, even for a children's card game.
This man’s deck is certified NASTY! 4 special summons, a normal summon to bring out 2 Number monsters, summoned Prime Photon and started running Yuma into the ground. He made this man fumble and had Astral shook. Kaito will always be the best, and possibly strongest rival next to Reiji and Kaiba. And yes I put Reiji ahead of Kaiba
Look Yuma🌟 What i learn form my previous duels when i was at your age that you must never give up. I dueled Yugi once and defeated him with only 50 points with Gaia. So all you have to do is doing your best, and no matter what happened later, you will always be a champion. May Allah bless you all, new generation of duelers. I hope you find the success and happiness while saving the world just like me. And after I die i hope that i can see you all in the paradise of Allah hearing the holy Quraan and dueling after it 🟣
Utopia anime effect stronger than TCG dif: TCG : if this card is targeted for an attack, while it has no material: Destroy this card. Anime : cannot destoy by battle except with a "Number" monster
Astral - a sarcastic Yami Yugi. Kaito - a less jerky Seto Kaiba. Haruto - a less jerky Mokuba. Kotori - a more useless Anzu. Shark - Jounochi with a bit of Seto Kaiba personality. Vector/Shingetsu - Yami Bakura, if Normal Bakura was evil. Tron - Yami Marik. Rio - Mai Kujaku. Bronx - a more useful Honda. Arclight brothers - Marik, Ishizu and Rishid. Duel carnival - Battle city.
