I don't even play dino, but I really respect your deep dive into card relevency and theory for your deck and community. The yugioh community as a whole needs more "deck talks" like this.
Beatiful video and this is a MUST watch for who bring to dino's deck. I think eschatos package is worth for skip super poli and at a huge event no one expect eschatos and don't prepare to it. Very good video and words to my favorite deck, i hope the banlist comes uot and bring to us the second copy of misc , if it isn't , kaitoptera and horned saurus will helps us a lot. I agree with most of this although litho and a small scrap engine I think are decent depending on the meta. Like currently litho is decent in a going first build to snipe the fire princess, little knight and a card of choice from extra deck. I have tried playing without a small scrap engine and the hands you draw with a lost world, no babies, and a ground xeno are unplayable. xeno and a lost world at least lets you add scrap raptor which with lost world is full combo in hands that would otherwise just be dead. I also think it adds a rank 4/ link 2 mid combo depending on the hand which is very valuable for us. I can see where it depends on how you draw but playing without the package always backfires when I try it. I also think that apollosa and evenly matched are not good picks for the deck because of how often field spell will be on board after turn 1 and lost world makes apo so much less effective. Im a big advocate for either accesscode or avra max depending on the format. I think maining a couple board breakers and thrusts is the way to incorporate something like an evenly if anything. Also although I'm sure I know your take but you technically you didn't cover carbonedon and a vanilla level 6 dragon tuner as a pacakage. In general I think the package is just bad but in theory it would let you make a baronne after you've used misc for a follow up. I'd advocate for the nemeses package before that. Also who knows what future support there will be since the type locking is incorporating worms, sea serpents, and dragons it would seem going forward.
Great video. Pretty much agree with your opinions on the tech cards for dinos. I'm excited for when they drop the Xeno cards in MD, and Spright Elf is still legal for Baby dino shenanigans 👀 Also I know it's not exactly relevant to the video, but what are your thoughts on the Kaitoptera package?
I miss Elf. I’m not really convinced on the kaito horned saurus stuff tbh but maybe there’s something there. I don’t like that all the roads lead to adding more bricks
@@ReversaL_YGO Yeah for real, sometimes it feels like every other card in a dino deck is a brick. Really wish they just made it special summon from the ED by just banishing the materials like Astraloud.
@@ReversaL_YGO a little late but isn't kaito just giant rex but with some extra stuff ? It looks like we can do a normal combo then add in ground xeno fusion effect for some plays with horned saurus which gets lost world for you and also is a lv 6 for lars
@@beegyoshi1685 yeah it’s Rex with less atk and can atk directly. Only downside is it’s not earth for g golems but that’s not a huge deal. Just playing kaito and horned saurus could have some value when you open a lot of engine to utilize the additional normal summon and also getting lost world can be good vs certain decks. Not a fan of playing polymerization or additional field spells though. The payoffs don’t seem worth adding 2 bricks at all but just replacing Rex with kaito is fine
Now that kaito is a thing I feel giant Rex became redundant as it fills its role and can be used a starter and searched lost world, only issue is it’s very susceptible to hand traps
Doodle Beast Stego being level 5 is a perfect aid for summoning Machu Mech, actually, pretty niche FTK use, but worth mentioning, the other 2 doodle cards though...oof
great video i feel similar on most points. thoughts on mannadium abscission engine? gets you 2 pops so unlike dark hole'ing a baby you actually get to a respectable combo. also i wonder if doodlebeast package might be underrated now? in your list it can plop itself down for a typhon and a bit of grind game, with 3 lost world it gets u to token for free, and unlike before where the stego was kinda just useless it can easily struggle you into an s:p at any time and make a bricked up uct live. i think it might be worth looking at again. doodle tyranno is nice with lost world too esp if they imperm your ovi. i know its niche but you can immediately summon another ovi from deck when u pop the lost world token
The doodles aren’t completely useless but they are still not worth playing. Those spots are better used on better cards. I did forgot the visas stuff but that stuff really isn’t worth playing either. Would rank it even lower than litho and diagram
Do you think transcendosaurus meteorus would be MUCH much better being able to be summoned in both turns or do you think there's no saving the fundamental cost of 2 dinos with a payoff that is debatably not worth it?
They should have given him a good effect like they did with big daddy uct. He does nothing at the cost of destroying 2 dinos. They could've just like gave him a monster negate atleast so he'd be somewhat worth it
What's your opinion of drnm and track black. During spright format it was such a fun tech as you drnm the board, track black target your uct and draw a ton of cards even if you can't otk.
Trackblack was always a funny one. I never thought it was worth the slot though. Is cool when you get to do it but it was mostly win more. Also conflicted with prosperity.
Took the Eschatos lock in side to locals and used a lot but lost half my matches to super poly... That's why I hate going first with this deck. The Kaitoptera "package" looks nice going first after side, it only requires you to play 1 secret village in side and it doesn't really mess with the combo if you hard open it as long as you have any regular 2 card combo. I might be a bit biased but it looks like a safer going first endboard than Eschatos rn.
What were you getting super poly’d? Secret village was the first thing that came to mind when I was looking into kaito stuff months ago. It’s relatively easy to pull off but I don’t think it’s as game winning compared to a type lock + follow up
@@ReversaL_YGO Don’t really remember what did they super poly away, I can remember my game 1 endboard was UCT, Lars and Dollka + Gardna and they got to summon a mudragon using uct + gardna ,then a Kaiju on top of Lars and that was game. After side and the eschatos lock my opp super poly’d apollousa + Baronne for mudragon again, I had pill in hand, got to UCT and cleared his board turn 3 but couldn’t OTK, he had too many resources still for turn 4 so he broke my board and that was game again. Got really mad about the super poly cause u just feel so powerless against it. I think the kaitoptera package really helps with the best boardbreakers cause the majority of them are spells, Dark Ruler, Droplet, XYZ Encore, Super Poly etc and the endboard is also kinda nice with Lars + UCT + Gigantozowler for follow-up. Also do you think if Misc comes back at two or maybe three the deck would be better inclined into a blind second build again?
@@Detxnator lars and dolkka boards can’t play around super poly but any eschatos board easily can. You don’t have to make Apollousa with Baronne. Baronne + SP with the type lock is more than enough, don’t even have to use pill. The standard board you can make something like dweller (if good in the match up) instead of dolkka to play around super poly if it’s a deck that’s known to play the card but keep in mind that would be weak to nib.
@@ReversaL_YGO Yeah I currently do not own a SP, it’s worth more than a minimum salary in my country atm, I made Baronne cause of the protection to get the combo through. The issue with dweller is of course getting nibbed but also it’s not relevant in some matches like this one I mentioned before was against some type of Altergeist variant (tbh I didn’t even know how that deck work) so i thought I was safer going for multiple negates. Looking back it was probably smarter to let my opp go first and try to otk since my build has 11 handtraps (same as yours but using 2 Veilers instead of the 2 Fenrirs)
@@Detxnator choosing to go second post side isn’t a bad idea vs some decks. Not having SP is definitely a hinderace since that combo has so many extra bodies for links. You could always use a different link 4 to play around super poly though like unchained abomination. When you type lock them there’s not much they can do so abom popping stuff can be nice

1 ground xeno is better than no ground xeno lol. I’m not a big fan of litho personally but 1 diagram 1 litho and maybe replace 1 lost world with terraforming isn’t awful. Could try 2 small world instead if you are playing enough monsters.

the mathmech engine is nice, but it needs alembertian and laplace in your extra Deck and you have to play nabla. 1 alembertian will get you 3 mathmech in grave + superfactorial and a synchro 8 on top

D3slayer came in 3rd recently with 60 card Dino, Mkhol40 covered it, and he was playing scrap package with Nat Beast & Barkion, also flag, keystone, and eschatos. You play granite (search keystone) and flame banshee (search flag: search eschatos) it’s really good with handtraps. If you can end on Dino combo, beast or Barkion, plus eschatos, you’re chillin
It’s too inconsistent of a combo piece and doesn’t add any additional value. Losing the misc protection hurts a ton too, combo would be extremely fragile
Summon misc from deck with the baby that was popped with ground xeno. Then you have Meteorus and misc on field to make Baronne, misc banish itself and baby to summon another baby from deck to pop with Baronne and keep comboing
Hi, I'm Brazilian and I really like your videos, I don't understand why you don't like the scrap package, it only takes up 3 spaces in the deck, (2 scrap raptor + scrap chimera), and only 1 in the Extra deck
Agreed, Ground Xeno and Lost World with no Babies in hand gets you access to Oviraptor. It’s another two (and a half) combo that gets you where you need to be. I hate it as much as the next person, but I can’t deny the ceiling it provides for the deck.
@@GrrrrrtRemembering that if you have the ground xeno in your hand, and the xeno meteors, it is a brick, if you have the scraps, you can search for scrap raptor.
Scrap raptor does technically combo with lost world but it’s low % to open and also loses to every piece of interaction imaginable. It’s another normal summon in deck that already has several so for the most part the package just ends up being bricky. The payoff of just adding a savage to end board isn’t worth it at all. It’s taking up valuable non engine space and not really adding anything of substance to the deck.
I’m using lytho build with all earth dino, so no frost and chimera. With xeno ground you can search normal dino or your scrap raptor and is pretty easy to combo even with dino dead heands.
Pretty much nothing decently enough for ya huh lol? Even if misc comes back to 3 it still aint gonna do much since hand trap are a things nowadays (dd crow, belle) and drnm and etc. I have that deck since first released after zoo format and it will always be my favorite deck of all time. I main 2 swords of consealing light to help stall and tyranno infinity to help otk.
Any more copies of misc would help a lot tbh. Your best openers include misc and having any more than one copy would help with the decks lack of follow up quite a bit too. I didn’t say every card in the video was not at least decent but there are a lot of bad Dino related cards sadly
@@ReversaL_YGO I play for fun full power dino vs other meta decks with my brother in law all the time and it's okay. Mainly It just like all other decks it just depends on your draws going 1st or 2nd tbh. Imo the game is so fast nowadays after links....Dinos sadly is just rogue 😏
when theres no hope: fenrir search fenrir, use litho on both fenrir, rip 3 extra deck cards, pass when theres a chance: fenrir search fenrir, litho pop one baby and fenrir, rip 3 extra deck cards, baby summon ovi, ovi search baby, normal baby. I don't know, i like litho for certain match ups.
Bro said Scraps are bad... what?? You do know that Scrap/LW is another full Combo... right? Also Transcendasaurus Meteorus is busted... You pop 2 babies on opp turn putting Pank on board and Searching Misc on opp turn by summoning Ovi ALSO you dump Quatolus from deck for easy Double Evo... wtf did I just watch... I just went 3-1 at my highly competitive Locals last week with both Scraps and Transcendasaurus Meotorus. Everytime I used Meteorus it won me the game.
Congratulations you can get 3-1 with magic cylinders to no reason to hate this guy mathematical meteorus doesn't benefit you Scraps are very format dependent and make Dino even more bricky

@kaytittel6933 Because no one is trying to play on your opponents turn. That's where Dinos has to go now. People don't understand that. Pank pop on Opp turn on top of double search is something that people aren't taking advantage of. Also, probably because their decks suck. I'm going to a case tourney this weekend. We'll see how it works out. If my last tourney was a view of future tournaments, I should do pretty well. I'll make a video on it if it does well.
