I have to admit. Seeing Pegasus knock Kaibab down a few pegs was golden. Too bad it never really stuck.

This is my favorite episode, I loved the Toon Monsters from then on. Pegasus is an awesome character.

To tell the truth I actually wanted Pegasus to win in this duel since I was still pissed off that Seto attempted to commit suicide in order to defeat Yugi.

Maybe, and just spit-balling here, maybe Pegasus knows Kaiba's cards because everyone is saying what they ate out loud.

If Crush Card's effect was the same in the show, it would be banned immediately.

Having never watched Yu-Gi-Oh, I can’t exactly keep up apart from the basics about how the duels work. The voices are also funny.

Would it have really mattered if Pegasus was infected with the virus? Blue-Eyes wasn't in his deck, and Dark Rabbit's original ATK was 1100, and the only other monster he used was Bickuribox, and honestly, Dark Rabbit could've defeated Saggi for a second time. Would've been funny if Pegasus announced he was going to trigger the virus before attacking. And then at the end of the duel, come full circle and infect Kaiba with it, showing just how superior he is that he can have a virus and still win, while Kaiba loses most of his deck when infected. And it would be the Dark Rabbit who starts and finishes Kaiba's demise.

Toons are the caricature of the original monster. I like the idea of Toonversions of monsters. Makes things Wacky and funny. And with the new toons out things are gonna be good! 😂

Dark Rabbit needs to be retrained as an toon card, make Dark energy spell as one of it's 1st eff. 2nd eff to add Toon World or Toon Kingdom from deck to hand 3rd eff banish itself from gy to protect Toon world or Toon Kingdom.

Kaiba coulda used Monster Reborn and bring back a monster from Pegasus’s graveyard, the crush card only prevents monsters from your own graveyard. So the strongest creature Pegasus used would be Toon Blue Eyes, it wouldn’t feel good for Kaiba but he would have the most powerful creature used in the duel

I miss this. Darren is the best. I also love the Subbed. If Konami could somehow work on finishing the uncut episodes with the raw dialogue and japanese scores dubbed I'd love that even more!

When are they going to actually turn Saggi into an actual support for a Kaiba deck? They already turned some of his other cards into effect monsters or upgraded them, not to mention all the Blue-Eyes support, Saggi is one of the few Kaiba cards to never really gain anything new.

The ONE time Kaiba used The Heart Of The Cards, he still loses. Pegasus had such an unfair advantage with the Millennium Eye.

Did anyone notice that when he first summoned the clown it had 900 Att and then 600 Att later when it was doubled to 1200? Also, Pegasus called the card "Negative Energy", and then later he called it "Dark Energy"? Wow, shotty localization.

"He had the perfect defense set up before I even attacked, but how??" Thing is, if I drew negative energy I would have played it face down, Kaiba uses crush in like every duel. You don't need to be a literal mind reader (or fortune teller - Ishizu) to know what he's planning.

Sheesh. not that i wanted Kaiba to win this though or was "rooting" for him or anything because i wasn't Cuz i was still pissed off about him "cheating" and beating Yugi. while i did feel sorry for Kaiba here and felt some sympathy for him i also "liked" watching him "squirm" and seeing Pegasus beat him here and take him down a peg. Kaiba's win against Yugi was dishonest and he didn't win "clean" and it wasn't a clean win so he didn't even deserve to be standing here in the first place. so I'm glad Pegasus beat him here and he won the duel because Kaiba needed to be put in his "place" somebody needed to take him down a peg cuz he's cocky smug and arrogant. Pegasus was always mega overpowered. And whats even more messed up is even if kaiba from BC had obelisk he would of still lost to this Pegasus. Pegasus has prophecy and like bakura stealing mariks ra card, he can take kaibas god card before it's summoned because it has attack points plus cards can work on gods not summoned. Bakura proved that and Pegasus has an eye for plot armor so he can counter any of kaibas attempts to send the god card back to the graveyard by emptying Pegasus's hand. Pegasus would of beaten kaiba by taking obelisk with his trap and non reborn cards can work forever. Pegasus can't use obelisk but he will still win. He can keep it in his hand. And the crazy part is he has doppelganger. A card that can technically turn itself into anything like a second prophecy. If it turns into a god card Pegasus will be hit with thunderbolt for God imitations but Pegasus can instead turn doppelganger into blue eyes shining dragon. As long as it's in his graveyard. All Pegasus needs to do is draw the blue shining dragon and he doesn't need a summon. He can technically use doppelganger and use the blue eyes shining dragon to kill ra or slifer. Even id he didn't have the blue eyes shinning dragon in his deck here meaning he would lose to ra and slifer. He can technically use it. He made the blue eyes shining dragon since duelist kingdom because kaiba said in the pyramid of light film "You made a card to beat the god card ever since you let them out of your sweaty little hands. Just in case.." So he would of had it around here. The problem with the blue eyes shinning dragon is it can only destroy one god by destroying itself. So Pegasus has a reborn card. But so do the enemies. However the good news is reborn cards only work for one turn BUT ra is a killer because ra is designed for one turn kills. Pegasus can keep assimilating kaibas monsters with thousand eyes so he can't tribute summon for a god as easily and if Pegasus kills slifer with shining dragon . He won't need to worry about slifer much because if kaiba reborns it it will be on the field for one turn PLUS Pegasus can prevent reborn cards by countering with his trap replacement or others so call of the haunted works for Pegasus so he can counter with his eye with plot armor and technically since yami marik won't want to switch bodies with his other marik or the good marik will stop yami marik he is probably able to be affected by Pegasus. If Pegasus can use his eye on yugi who needed to mind swap and couldn't just puzzle block his eye then technically yami marik would be affected too. But writers can do anything and just because yami marik has a big ego and coolness make him immune to the magic which is bullshit so technically I don't think he should be immune to Pegasus. It would be dumb. Pegasus will use his eye plot armor to counter reborn cards and he will blue eyes shinning nova on slifer to get past slifer and even if slifer is summoned he can go on the defensive with his toons and stall slifer until it dissapears. But now here's where Pegasus is screwed. Against all 3 gods I don't think he can win. If he has prophecy and blue eyes shining dragon and doppelganger he can use them to beat 2 god cards but 3 is probably going to beat his ass. Even with his eye. Ra alone is a problem for Pegasus because ra is based on a one turn kill with a reborn card. So even if he wastes the shining dragon on ra. Yami marik can just resurrect him again for one turn to kill pegasus. Yami marik is a beast. I'm willing to bet that since it's quality over quantity. Ra alone is enough to beat Pegasus even with shining dragon and doppleganger because ra is extremely effective. Pegasus can use doppelganger to also copy Egyptian god slime to stall Marik. The only way Pegasus can beat Marik is if he hard counters his reborn cards and stacks his deck with many different reborns cards so he can spam resurrect blue eyes shining but it won't be very effective because even so ra can ressurect before he can do it. Or say he uses a trap resurrect to summon shining at thesame time marik summons ra because he can read yami Marik's plan. The problem is Pegasus cant use a dragons effect on his opponents turn. Pegasus needs a way to counter a direct attack from ra on his opponents turn and kill marik on that turn or Pegasus loses. Pegasus needs to somehow survive ra and make marik use his lifepoints and them direct attack him with his toons when he's at low health. I don't know how he will.

I hate to say it, but watching Pegasus whoop Kaiba in this duel was satisfying since Kaiba threatened to fall off the roof, in order to get Yugi to lose the duel.

Error with that Negative Energy card. Saggi The Dark Clown had 1800 ATK points while on here ,it had 1200. WTF

What if Kaiba attacked Pegasus directly with Swordstalker? I know he cannot do that but Kaiba was desperate to win. Kaiba would cheat by attacking directly and beat Pegasus so he has Kaiba’s soul taken away, despite the victory, keeping both souls. Which would inspire Kaiba to introduce direct attacks in Battle city.

The Irony of the whole thing is if Kaiba had the trap card "Magic Drain" or "Magic Jammer" face down on the field he could have "prevented" Pegasus from activating the Magic card Negative Energy and "negated" it preventing him from making his Saggi the Dark Clown too strong for his Crush Card Virus.😷 because those traps are counter trap cards that prevent the "activation" of magic cards. if Kaiba already had the trap card Magic Jammer face down on the field then all he would have to do to activate it is discard one card in his hand to the graveyard.💯💪

I'm argentinian, so here we watched the anime with the latin spanish dub. In this dub, Yugi Muto is voiced by an actor with a high pitch voice, and Yami is voiced by an actor with a low pitch voice. Which makes a Lot more sense than this English dub

It’s funny comparing this to their duel in pyramid of light. Makes it look as though Pegasus(the freakin creator of the game) could only win through cheating.

I mean in season 1 Pegasus was powerful and the perfect villain. After season 1 he was more a weak side character. Why did they nerve him so much? Honestly I think the manga storyline fits more to him (killed by bakura, but in memory still a strong character).
