spellbinding circle does not lower a monsters attack by 700...wth is that shit..its just there so yugi can destroy that monster on the next turn isn't it lol cause the plot says he has to get rid of monsters stronger than his own without needing to use a strategy its suppose to only stop an attack...stupid rules ..then again in season 1 they never even used special abilities or sacrificing so there you go...you could summon 3 blue eyes in 1 turn lol and fuse them and attack all on the same turn
I just love the fact that the English actors on Yugioh know about and repeatedly reference the Abridged series. It shows they're clearly more okay with it than 4Kids ever was.
Actually, that's a common misconception: 4Kids was rarely responsible for the bannings after the first couple. The company that airs the show in Japan, on the other hand, is _not_ a big fan of LittleKuriboh.

@@NickCMedia no, it does actually, when Mosnter Reborn, Pot of Greed, Gravecful Charity, Heavy Storm, Dark Hole and the like were all thrown on the F/L list in the OCG, the anime stopped using those cards, they were used sparringly like Firewall Dragon was in VRAINS due to their power levels at the time, this duel was akin to a cross format duel, where yugi got to use some of those banned cards.
I will never get tired of how hard people cheer when hearing "POT OF GREED!" Shows you how much the community misses that one single card *EVERYONE* had in their decks at one point.

a lot of people never thought about using defusion to beat shooting star dragon's effect....genius play by the king of games...taught people a new strategy too....that's the kind of quick thinking that would be in the show...
Too inconsistent and very situational. Defusion has its uses, but that scenario with shooting star dragon is just highly unlikely. I'd rather just use compulsory evacuation device.
At 11:10 Yusei could have used SSD effect to negate Dark Paladin and destroyed it. *(Quick Effect): You can negate the effect, and if you do, destroy it. * Then he could have used the battle Waltz token to get rid of Dark Magican Girl or Dark Paladin because of battle waltz’s effect of not taking any battle damage. So, bad misplay by Yusei unfortunately.
]-)ΣΔ†]-[ Im sick of ppl keep saying yugi using banned card. Yugi is a duelist from a different time, where all these banned cards were not banned. Thats why hes using it, his deck strategy is built around these banned cards. If yugi is still in todays series, he would create a new deck that follows the current ban list and still beat anyone. Besides, doesnt Yuma from Zexal use banned cards too(monster reborn)? And are we forgetting about Anime cards that are too op for legal duel? And I think theres a duelist in Arc-V that uses harpie's feather Duster.
sephirothrikusora In all honesty I never watched anything beyond GX. I only saw the first 2 seasons and that was it, so I had no idea. And also if Yugi was dueling this time now. He would've adapted to the new rules and the new over powered cards now. I understand that his deck worked well with one another in the past time but just like anyone else, he should adapt to the current rulings now just like everyone else. I'm sure he can make a much better deck now without having to result any cards from the banned list. He can still keep Dark Magician and Dark Magician girl. If I am not mistaken, the older cards are getting new supports and I believe there is 2 XYZ monsters that looks like DM and DMG. Yugi/Yami could easily use those cards in his deck, but the only reason they didn't add that here is because they only showcase the decks only shown in the anime. I would really like to see Yugi/Yami use cards supporting DM and DMG without any banned support and use stuff he's not use to like Synchro, XYZ and Pendulum. That be interesting to watch, if only they actually do that.
Unfortunately this is only scripted duel, so we can't see yugi with a new deck. Maybe we can in the new movie that is about to come out next year. This movie takes place during the times of the old yugioh with yugi and kaiba as the center of the story c: Ah, you must be talking about Magi Magi Magician Gal and Ebon Illusion Magician xyz monsters. They are cool, the first deck I build when I went on yugioh online was based off them.
sephirothrikusora Magi Magi and Ebon. Yeah those are the guys. Speaking of decks. I do find Dark Magician decks to be the most fun to play. It's just too bad they are not competitive at all or hardly. The metas today are too ridiculous, and personally I don't find it fun at all. Konami really like to increase the OP level every generation.
]-)ΣΔ†]-[ I know exactly what you mean, as I been struggling to make a decent deck with dark magician in it since im a huge fan of the pharoh. I think it is possible to make a decent deck with dark magician even in todays duel but im not sure. I have put my dark magician deck on hold while i work on my other decks. So far the best decks i have are gagaga and cyber dragon deck(check out the xyz cyber infinity dragon, very op). Like most old duelist, i also at first hate the new way of dueling now as it is heavily focused on special summoning and normal monsters are losing their touch but i might be wrong on that as i seen support cards for the normal monsters and the new pendulum monsters has normal type. My first impression of the new yugioh is, the game is whack. Summoning multiple powerful monsters easily while im struggling with my old ways dueling with outdated strategy. But after awhile, i found out yugioh is simply different now, the game has evolved. The old ways of dueling doesnt work anymore. Nobody takes three turns to normal summon a high lv monsters anymore. Is the change for better or worse? I think the game is actually better now, more challenging and harder now, im starting to love it. But, im still exploring and learning the new yugioh. There might come a day when i would realize yugioh's change has destroyed the game and i would quit. So far im digging the game, i mastered xyz. still learning on synchro and pendulum tho. I also been having many victories online c: sorry for the long comment x)
More fun, yes, but too busted and exploitable when used in the TCG. The anime characters must be missing a part of their brain for not abusing the card effects more.

What's the problem to be a nerd ? You mistake them with virgin losers, those guys never fucked a girl or get values, that's why they become mad for silly reasons, not because they're passionated by Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Only one word to describe this.....EPIC!!!! And I love that they respect each other as duelists, something I would expect if they actually dueled. P.S. yugi and yusei turbo dueling together, must see.
That was the entertaining part of the Duel. They played a duel as if it were on the show hence why they started with 4000 life points and why they used Card of Sanctity's effect from the show.
3 Things I Noticed Are: 1) The amount of nerdgasm surpasses anything I've heard so far. 2) The duel was obviously planned out. But that doesn't make it any more less awesome. 3) If I was there, I would've screamed like those people about the banned cards, hehe.
So much better than the other video. The voices not only drowned out the duel, the "OOOHHHHH's" were really annoying. I immediately left and came here. I can even hear the guy in the background.
+sonicsaiyan07 Japan just started doing these scripted duels less than a year ago. I really wish both the U.S. and Japan would do these a lot more often (different voice actors/characters each duel, mind you).

which effect are you referring to? The draw 5 cards -> attack as many as tuner monsters drawn? It was probably due to the fact that the deck has to be shuffled afterward (ie the rest cannot be scripted to a degree). It's not exactly accurate anyway (spellbinding circle doesn't decrease attack; Damage Eater can only be activated during the opponent's turn ie Yusei lost on Turn 8, etc etc...)
At the end, Dan Green should've said, "We gave him a chance once... He lost his body as a result... Remember the duel with Serenity and Duke? That was a disaster... Can't exactly trust him to save the world with that kind of dueling. But again, great friend! Just not a great duelist."
First, it's Shooting Star Dragon. Second, both Shooting Star and Stardust can negate destruction effects that would destroy cards on the field. At that moment, Battle Waltz IS on the field. Respectively: "You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect that destroys a card(s) on the field, and destroy that card." "...once per turn... Negate the activation of an effect that would destroy a card(s) on the field, and destroy that card."
@dabestgamer What i meant when I said Yugis deck smashes Yuseis is that if you look at the key cards in each deck and how yugi has pot and reborn, Yugi is a distinct advantage as he has many of the staples of Yugioh in his deck which Yusei doesn't

Question....And sorry if its obvious.... But how did the person Yugi was voicing draw a card when he used Dark Paladin to attack....The card being De-Fusion....Im wondering how he was able to draw it during his attack phase....
@MultiFortunatus He used the anime's effect for Card of Sanctity, that was part of the joke. =P Along with face up defense positions, using pot of greed and graceful charity. All part of the show. =D
So tell me... at that point in time in the video... how would he summon Obelisk or Ra? Another Card of Sanctity, and some broken card that we've never heard of to get Special Summon three monsters and Tribute them?
i would like to see little yugi(end os season 4) duel for a change. That would be awesome imao because we didn't see him duel that much. Joey vs Jaden would also be a nice duel :D.
