Nerwrax15 that's one of the few things I'm okay that happened when they switched it over to English; as well as monster reborn. Although most of the art I wish wasn't censored for example barrel dragon.
Nick's Strength and Power idk but yeah they had original art for dark magician and blue eyes but not red eyes; I also think they should've been ultra rare.
You're quite correct! Just look at the japanese version of the legendary decks (memories of the pharaoh) the holo are completely different and more epic than the english version
I don't really understand why everyone think the characters ace monsters should be holo. I think they look so good as common vanillas, it really takes you back to the show and your childhood when they weren't holo.
Only the main characters got 'em, so I say Pegasus and Marik are the best bets. Only Yugi and Kaiba get the honors of having multiple theme decks based on them, at least for the classic series. Hell, this was the second theme deck based on Joey (TCG-wise, he had slightly better treatment in the OCG) since his classic starter deck back in 2003!
Hot damn they threw some awesome cards in this collection. I haven't bought one yet, but I agree with cyberknight that the decks look very well balanced

I find it more amusing than I should that you bring the deck offscreen at the bottom right, then immediately bring it back onscreen from the bottom left. ... But I still want the God Cards to be Commons.
in 2018 getting one of these for under a bill is impossible and that really sucks because i just started buying cards feeling nostalgic and had my mind blown by the prices.
Hey Cyberknight. To answer/confirm your Ties of the Brethren theory. Yes Yugi used it against the Pharaoh to summon the gadgets together and then played Stronghold. Might be a good idea to celebrate Yugioh's anniversary by watching each series for nostalgia
And once again they gip us of a holo repirnt of the Original Red-Eyes. Also really strange Ultimate Dragon doesn't have a code in the corner like the rest of the cards and it's original printing.
Got the first box, so so so extremely satisfied with the choice in the decks, got my favorite cards magnet warriors, later I got the slifer tin, got slifer added it to one of the decks got legendary deck 4 to recreate joey's decks, now it has all gone to waist yay
As to the box. I'm sad none of the stores near me have it yet, but I love the DMG love as well as black stone reprint and Azure eyes reprint. My biggest hooray goes to ancient rules reprint. Now I can summon Blue eyes or D Magician easier using another method
Mines on the way.. so damn excited. Shame there's no dark paladin original artwork reprint, but that's about all I can fault it for. Maybe the YET ANOTHER tablet blue eyes and non OG red eyes too.. but I can get.hold of those easily so no biggy. Fantastic set, what value.
To be honest my only complaint is that Yugi's deck comes with dark magician and buster blader, but no Dark Paladin... Seems like a huge miss, but other than that love the decks.
I really dont like this box... There are so many reprints, that we already had a thousand times in Common, its time for some new holographic reprints like red eyes original artwork, thousand dragon, maybe Baby dragon in UR, there are so much ways to give us some special products, why they just dont? :(
I hate when they print original art Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes common, these are the two most legendary monsters of all time and they deserve the respect of being at least super rare if not Ultra/Secret rare
They really messed up on Joey's holos. Since Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician just got Ultra reprints with the original artworks, this was literally the perfect opportunity to do the same for Red-Eyes. It's not like Return and Metal Flare needed to be Ultras anyways.
The Ugly Barnacle yea, the Yugi deck seems to have more cards then the others and I got a random 2nd first of the dragons in the middle of the kaiba deck
I am soo mad they didn't do 3 Mega Tins. 1st is Slifer with Atem, the 2nd one is Obelisk and Kaiba but why no 3rd one with Ra and Marik, no love for Ra and Marik :(
My Walmart had 4 in stock after I got out from work I went to buy snacks.Then I went to my house took a shower got money and went back and they had three in just two hours so I bought all three.ill go back later and get a fourth box.I will also get a yugi and kaiba decks out next week I'll get a couple of each.

I don't really think they'll make Legendary Decks outside of the original series because let's face it, not a lot of people liked GX, 5D's, and beyond. The classic Pharaoh saga was what most people recalled whenever YuGiOh is mentioned.
Renegadesaiyan totally forgot that was a quick-play in the anime. I think nightmare mirror would be fair to be printed. all it do was negate an attack and deal 1000 damage to your opponent at cost of discarding a card from your hand.

These cards are fully valid? They are valid to play them in official games or tournaments? and if a card of these was banned if it were not banned you could play ??
