I'm glad to see you branching out for ideas, I too have thought about using undine in the past not sure of how I would make room for the four cards to play the engine. I took Plunders to an event this past weekend at PPG and came in 31st 7 rounds of testing against big decks and opening up 4 plunders, 3 to play with one to reserve for your effects and hoping you can also interact with your opponent with hand traps is such a tall order and I was struggling on top of that theres the awkward matchups like tri-zoo that start there combos with no lights or darks, I love the deck but it can be a bit disheartining when you see what the other decks can do with 1-2 cards and can use all other others cards for defense. I'm glad you want to make more videos for Plunders as you clearly have a good understanding of its limits and a want to improve them~ I look forward to more thoughts~
Amazing video keep up the good works. I also pick up the deck when I heard they were finally making a pirate base deck. One Piece: GOAT I also hoping for two more extra monster that are Earth and Wind in the future
With Japan receiving the Extra Pack in a few months, I’m expecting both the remaining ships to be given to OCG as exclusives. Similarly to how they did with BA, when they got Beatrice. It’s definitely overdue tho. Playing against tribrigade and earth machines can be annoying at times
i like your take on the deck with the undines, the rokket dragon deck and dryton are largely not in our favor. Rokket dragon usually ends on borrelload savage, hot red tiding and sphere and like you said herald of ultimateness just wrecks us. it almost makes me want to main deck DRNM, sadly i dont have droplets. Still I enjoyed the video
I really love plunders, they have a lot of tricks. Some cards that i run that others dont are abyss dweller and draco berserker of the tenyi. Those cards put in a lot of work and people just dont run them. Its not difficult to end on berserker and moerk. Its just as good, if not better, than just a blackbeard and hoping your opponent has what you need. Because you need every card in your hand most times, i took out the toad package (i know and understand im def in the minority) but i never really wanted or needed to go into it. Going first its a 3 card combo that you still need to have a plunder card in hand for. So a lot of the times if i did have the one (out of 2 cards left) plunder card, i didnt want to discard the other impactful card like idp, cosmic, or droplets. Im cool with other people not agreeing with my logic, thats just been my experience. It would be dope for the one new ships (if we get any) for one to negate spells/traps activation and effects. And the other to quick effect shuffle 3 from the gys to draw 1 card.
@@dubkdad1 its the same cards, but theres a lot less risk involved if the effects of goldenhair or whitebeard get negated in going for the berserker play first. if bahamut get negated, you are in a really tough spot. i felt if i added that in the original post, it wouldve been a too long. also, im not saying the toad package is bad, i just would rather have those 2 spots for something more impactful like dweller (which can win games against some decks single handily). berserker can literally be anything, i just really like it.
@@dubkdad1 also, the berserker play is good going first or second. Youre not (shouldn't) gonna go for the toad play through an established board. And although dweller isnt good going second, going first it can win games against some of the top decks like prank kids or tri-brigade for example.
Love Undine in the deck. Can’t bring myself to play without it. Brings too much flexibility and consistency. We literally just need the Wind/Earth ship to be a S/T negate and the other to be some kind of blanket protection.
I want the wind to be a link 1 searcher and the earth to be a fusion that retrieves a card from the grave. Not every deck needs a bunch of negates, what this deck actually needs is ways to continue to fuel the effects because of bad card economy
@@dubkdad1 I was gonna say they could use a Link 1 too. If they want to make the Link 1 the Wind ship I’m all for it, I just figure Konami likes to stick to patterns. And I really do think one of the missing ships should offer blanket protect like I was saying. Targeting protection to go alongside Moerk’s dest. protection. But yea if they made the Link 1 a searcher like Dark Infant @Ignister where it grabs the Field Spell I think this deck would be set.
@@CoziTCG maybe that link 1 could be something similar to that salamangreat link 1, searching field and protection if in the grave. what they could also do is something similar like that melffy continious spell that draw and protect which we could return with the field grave effect
