Hell, I would take Max Caster creating a roast rap over me any other year: Yo! LISTEN! LISTEN! Acclaimed in the house Milano won YCS, Snake-eyes kinda broken Konami where the fix?! Yo! This announcer is garbage why he got deodorant? We all know yugi players smell like a rancid torrent. We roasting all you yugioh players because konami hates you mains, but here at YCS everyone loves the acclaimed!
Only thing that's gonna stop Konami is yall stop going to events with trash prizing. Stop spending 2k to build snake eyes and 3k to fly out and stay to get an unplayable 500 dollar prize card and a 100 dollar mat.
It will not change anything as long as people keep buying cards and coming to events, and you know there is way too many people that won't quit no matter what.
I can relate to that, i've won more prizes playing One Piece for six months and doing mediocre results than in my 10+ years playing YGO while the game itself is much more affordable.
@@beasthaven1571 Treasure Cups (wich are similar to YCS but overall a bit less partecipants) are: 25 euros to signi up - 25 euros of partecipation Prize + 40 euros of prize for top 128 + 350 euros of Promo Yamato card for top 64 + 20 euros of prize for top 32 + 1000 euros of Promo Linlin card for top 16 + 2000 euros of Promo Kaido for top 8 + i dont remember what for top 4, but nothing crazy + 1000 euros of Playmat for second place + 1 Uncut OP06 Sheet for second + 1 Uncut OP06 Sheet for first + 1 1000 euros of Playmat for first Everything piles up, so if i end up 12th i'll get both the Linlin and the Yamato, alongside the other smaller prizes up to that point. Uncut Sheets are literally a sheet of foiled cardboard that contains every alternative art in a set, uncut and shipped to you like a picture, and they sell for around 25000 euros. I've taken minimum TCGMarket prices for these btw and with some i even rounded down (for example uncut sheets are more often sold at 30000 euros). Obviously you wont sell those overnight, but you can always sell them at like 10% or 15% less to make the deal quicker and yes, people do buy these things. So yeah, that's a prize pool
Lorcana gives you a complete foil binder including all the highest rarity cards, serialised ‘gold’ Mickey, exclusive unique foil full art cards, a unique foil play mat, points for the prize wall & booster boxes for 1st….. YGO gives you an outdated ‘console’ & booster boxes with no value in opening… 😐😂
It only took decades and other TCG's developing for yugioh players to realize it's probably not worth traveling and investing hours of gameplay for a shitty playmat.
@@marcusking332takahashi himself said that he didnt allow Cash Prize in yugioh because its basically gambling, maybe we should use differrent prizing like ps5 or whatever.
It only took decades and other games existing for YGO players to finally realize “hey wait this game sucks and involves no skill other than a big enough income to buy all the cards and pay the hotel feels and entry fees and… ohhhh it’s just Konami trying to make money off of me”
This is honestly a big reason why I wont get back into the game. Imagine spending $1000s over the years playing this game , to finally win a major tournament and be given a "pencil" .
Honestly, i got into Universus and for a cheap, budget card game, i won a locals tournament that got me a prize of 500 dollars, a small bit of merch, and a booster box. With a deck that was maybe 28 dollars.
meanwhile Lorcana: oh you won a Store Championship? Here get a Promo card worth of 700 EUR and a mat Pokemon: oh you won a State championship? Cool here is your price money Magic: oh you won? here is your price money Yugioh: here is some old console, some random cards and display.
I play one piece and a lot of the friends ive made came from ygo and they told me dont even bother trying ygo cause prizing is so neggg compared to one piece. This vid pretty is much fax
Doesn't it get even funnier that it's not just first place, but something like top 64 gets the super expensive promo card, and the prizes just get better from there?
Wait in one piece, winner gets entire next set that's so awesome Konami could never bruh (sometimes i feel punished from the heavens for loving the game of yugioh)
I hope this is played at the next Konami round table and afterwords they start a never ending fire loop of slapping the duck out of each other, around the table, never ending
That’s crazy actually, always loved YuGiOh but never went to a Game Function of YCS, now this is really sad because I’m more of a collector now and seeing other Card Games having Cash Prizes and extras meanwhile YGO is expensive because a Card like Ash was 70$ at release now it’s 1$ on Amazon and imagine winning the World Championship and getting a Cars worth maybe 50$ and a “GG bro” it must feel like they fucking with your head “Thanks for Buying a Deck worth 1k and here is your 20$ card, see you next year” nah Konami you bugging, Make a 100.000$ on Prizes for the YCS and than you will see how people will invest everything they have in the actual Game, Good Prizes= always happy and good costumers.
We could always cut konami out of the picture,If some one trusted in the community such as Milano hosted an event with decent prizing,I would go for sure, but Konami hears the deaths rattles and there just running it pockets before its dead
I hope next YCS Champion just gives back the prizes (provided the prizing situation is the same) and just walks away without saying anything that should be enough to help Konami realize that prizing needs to revised
It always perplexes me that a company that operates a trading card game would give cards... THAT PLAYERS ALREADY HAVE...as prizing. And randomized at that. GG Konami. GG.
About the game console - honestly not bad, but would be better for a flagship console to be worth it like PS5 or new XBox (with master duel on it) or maybe just give the winner gaming laptop or gaming PC.
Could you imagine how many more players and how much more profit Konami could make if they dug .00000000000001% into their pockets for prizing like this? Genuinely it would not affect them at all if they actually offered a Tesla. They would probably make a couple million from competitive card played of other tcgs investing into yugioh for a chance of some prizing like this
This is why we need to stop participating in Konami events and just do local tournaments. In a perfect world we could have locals band together and run huge events maybe up to the state level
Make a video on how Konami bans the shit out of the current popular deck so that you have to buy their new even more broken cards that are all secret rates of course. Or unbans a completely busted card so you buy their new tins for 1 format
It’s crazy but idk why out of no where a few weeks ago it finally occurred to yall that this is how it is 💀 I won an event…deck box and mat. Topped one piece…sold my shit for 1k
I find it weird and funny on how Ive commented on several videos about how Yugioh is the last game to be played at a comp level because theres no money in the prizing and also brought up the creepy playmats. Never had there been videos or skits made prior and all of a sudden these two very things are being brought up and videos are NOW being made.
