ARC-V: Here's the original Z-ARC, he looks pretty cool and you probably want to see him new and improved when he's reborn Also ARC-V when designing Z-ARC's reborn form: Hehe dragon boi Yuya
Exactly right? They totally did all of that just to waste Zarc’s ORIGINAL design, and gave us a demonic Yuya as Zarc. Bro! I couldn’t even stop laughing 😂 when I saw THAT. Dude! That is NOT Zarc. Just Yuya as a demon . Wow 😯 man 😭🤦🏼♀️. Zarc’s final form really was a mistake indeed. And to whoever thought this was a good idea, you should be ashamed of yourself
I have a theory. Zarc was a lonely and poor boy. The only person that cared about him was Ray. She smiled at him and gave him hope. So, he decided to make everyone smile, just like Ray made him smile. I think that Zarc fought hard to become a strong duelist, with Ray's support. Those two sure had feelings for each other. Ray admired him for how far he went, while she was daddy's little girl. Which is why she was shocked and heartbroken when Zarc went power hungry. In his POV , he was disillusioned by how evil the crowd was. This caused him to go insane. Ray went to stop him, not only to protect her father, but also because she blamed herself about Zarc's insanity. When Zarc realized that Ray was going to beat him, he felt betrayed by the only person that showed him compassion. He hated her and cursed her. But he still had feelings for her, which is why his fragments also had feelings for her fragments. I believe that, if Leo didn't mess things up, Yuri and Serena would also develop feelings for each other.
You know that would have been a great theory honestly. Even though Ray saves everyone I imagine she is also saving Zarc as well and still cares about him. It's obvious since her three counterparts liked the three Zarc counterparts, confirming the fact that Ray loved Zarc not as a friend but even more. She just wants to see that even if he rules the world, the cycle of hate will still continue as that makes the world balanced. If only Konami didn't make our brains have a clusterfuck then our theories would have been canon.
@@markdevontrocio1030 thanks. I've started writing a fanfic for Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V in deviantart. It's like a sequel to Arc V. I'll eventually explain what happened in the past with Zarc and Ray. If you are interested, I am skevanat and this fanfic is called Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V: Dimensional Order.
@@GatorRay Just made my own called Evil HERO Supreme King Neos on G+ that can be treated as Elemental-HERO Neos in the field and grave with the added effect of Terra Firma involving Dark attribute and Evil HERO monsters.
Still a loss and technically when Z-Arc originally dueled Rey she won so that's 2 duels but people do for some reason ignore that. And it might just be me but I count each time a new duelist came in I counted it as a new duel
Even if zarc attacked riley she still would have enough LP due to gaining LP equals to the total amount of odd eyes and zarc's ATK points because of smile universe's effect. And if he didn't play smile universe he wouldn't be able to do much anyways unless he had supreme king gate zero and infinity in his hand.
You got to admit no matter what the guy’s a badass in just one dual he got 10 wins and 1 lose just imagine how many wins he would of gotten if he continued
Late reply but felt like dropping it. Z-arc's desires and goals are ultimately self-destructive. As if he destroys all, there will be no-one left but him. Meaning he would spend the rest of his existance in absolute solitude, with nothing but his monsters, which were also consumed by rage. That does not sound like a calculated plan of an evil mastermind, more like a hasted reaction to an extreme pressure and toxic influence of others.
If zarc didn't lose his win to loss would be Wins:7.6 billion Losses:1 Because he lost to rey the first time in the original dimension and back when arc v came out there were around 7.6 billion people on earth (assuming everybody on earth played yuhgio)
+HusseinggamingXD I probably wrote something about the dragons somewhere too on here +Odd-EyesDragoon I don't think he means to imply that but just wanted to show he is disappointed as much as you are with what happened.
Something little known: the dragons themselves reference previous antagonists/protagonists. Starving Venom is a reference to Vertix from ZeXal. It is said that Starving Venom is corrupted. He has an effect to steal monster names and abilities. Vertix himself was corrupted by the Barian energy and his Xyz monsters steal identies. Dark Rebellion references Number 96. Until Yuto rejoined, Yuya couldn't enter berserk mode, so Dark Rebellion is a corruptor. Additionally, its effect to steal attack is the same as Dark Mist, and they both have Ranked-up forms. Clear Wing seems to be the odd-one out as it's more based on Stardust Dragon than anything else, maybe with a dash of Red-Dragon Archfiend, as it can negate effects, like Stardust, but also focuses on battle, like Archfiend. Odd-Eyes Dragon, similarly, has an effect similar to that of a protagonist's card, Jaden's Flare Wingman. Appropriately enough, Flame Wingman has a Red and Green color scheme with a dragon head for a hand, perhaps showing it, too, has mismatched eyes. The pendulum form has an ability to reduce damage to zero, similar to Yugi and Jaden's Kuribo monsters, and the pendulum effect is somewhat similar to Sangan. While Yugi didn't use Sangan, it is visually similar to Kuribo.
I laughed so hard on this. The card didn't say it's not affected by effect monsters nor it can't be tributed so getting a Kaiju on it will really ruin their day.
@@Liam-bq1qpSerously?! He literally told you in the video that Zarc is unaffected by card effects that would make it leave the field including using it for a tribute summon!
That should've happened to be honest with the original dimension coming back with few changes like Ray is no longer Leo's daughter, but Yuzu's fathers daughter as she's Yuzu, Shun being her brother and Zarcs parents being Yushou and Yoko as he's Yuya. You punish Leo for his actions by not giving his daughter back even though she's put back together, but at the same time he's given another chance to right his wrongs by raising Reira back together with his family from his time in Standard Dimension.
@@darkknight5541 tbh the Arc V endings kind of needed that reset button anyways. I mean, the way the anime tried to make it out to be a happy ending made no sense
Based on his abilties to talk to duel monsters and the fact he developed an evil supreme king persona would it be far fetched to think zarc could have been jadens relative, son or grandson perhaps
You've probably seen what I'm about to say already since this is an old comment but there's a theory that all the previous protagonists from past series were fused with each of the Yu-characters (one protag per dimension) and therefore they took on some of the protagonists traits and quirks as a result. If this was legit then whichever guy got fused with Jaden would also have been fused with the Supreme King and Yubel without having whatever method Jaden used to keep the psycho controlled
His hair too… I’m not gonna lie, I was originally going back and forth with “he is so similar to judai, are we sure it’s not him?!?” And “but judai was so nice, it couldn’t possibly be him!”
@@matthewevans5486 I’m late but whatever. Saw that theory video. And I wasn’t really gonna believe it……. UNTIL Judai came in. And how Judai=Yuri! That part just completely made so much sense
I honestly think Zarc had the potential to be the best villain if given more time and not only turn out to be an amazing villain but potentially give Ray the chance to be quite the female hero YGO has needed to stand up to a very strong and almost unbeatable evil. I honestly feel like not only was his actual arc rushed but the main deck he plays also felt quite rushed too. In reality, in his main deck he has a few spells and traps along with 3 DarkWurm, 3(?) SK Odd-eyes and Astrograph Sorcerer. Along with his Extra deck being: SK Clear wing, SK Dark Rebellion, SK Starve Venom, SK Zarc. When I first saw Zarc's archtype get announced, I was really hoping for some other cards that would support the deck and speed it up that would play into the entire "Corrupted" look to the archtype, for example, having a SK Performapal, SK Phantom Knight, SK Predator plant and SK Speedroid, paying tribute to all four archtypes combining to one and becoming part of the Supreme King's (Servant) archtype, serving him when corrupted to fulfill his needs. I still love Zarc and will consider him to be the best villain in YGO for now, He showed no mercy, no signs of stopping himself of who he was or even ever reverting from the hell he pushed himself into and initially lost because Yuya himself became an entity on its own that wished to live, so on and so forth and then the powers of Ray's 4 cards come in right after. if done correctly, he could have been something much more but with what he got, I am happy with that too.
Agreed. If they had explored more of the Original Dimension and everything that led to his fusing with his monsters, maybe show him have actual remorse for the pain he's caused but feeling like he's come too far, they could've made a great villain.
Zarc Supreme king name and eyes Z-one like name Yubel wings and dubble voice and has own card The darkness: infinty and zero Marik fused with main monster
that isn't the only effect he had in the anime...he had the ability to fusion, xyz, synchro and (i think) pendulum whenever the opponent does one of these...side note the card text would have to be on a pull/fold out slip just to fit if they got translated to the actual card straight from the anime
The Zarc-Yuya ego is somehow similar to Marik's. Near the end of one of the duels, Yuya apologizes to everyone he has hurt similar to what the good Marik did during the Battle City Finals. Only difference is Marik surrendered.
I actually own a foil copy of supreme king Zarc (the IRL fusion pendulum monster) and it's not as OP as the anime version, but it still is enough to win me games at regionals when combed with dragon's mirror
I would say that Yuya and Zarc are like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Here is why 1. Yuya is like Dr. Jekyll, a kind and friendly duelist who wants to make other people smile when dueling 2. Zarc is like Mr. Hyde, an evil and cruel alter ego who only cares about dueling for his own desire for power and destruction
To bad Rituals weren't included in the anime would have been perfect 5 summoning methods(before pendulums), Zarc having 5 dragons (making the monster zone full) and personas same with Ray, and the V would have made sense being the 5th series.
Yes they definitely did like making references to the older series, I also remember Reiji using cards in the final duel that represented final villains or something like that. Much different audience Zarc had compared to 5D's, they hated Akiza for what she did during duels. SURPEME!
One of the most undeveloped villains in the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise. We know jackshit about this guy other than he was evil just for the sake for being evil. What was his relationship with Ray and the doctor? We will never know.
Well, we do know he was like Yuya at first, but with the people for more violent duel, he became more sadistic himself... But other then that, yeah, more needed to be known about him.
Maybe Ray was controlled by the Doctor before and forced Zarc to duel her, causing him to hate people who manipulate others and when the dimension split happened the Doctor survived because Zarc didn't really destroy the entire world but the city. I dunno just my theory
@@markdevontrocio1030 I don't think so. I'm sure the Proffessor just broke after realising/remembering he lost the one thing he loved the most - his daughter. Pretty sure Ray did what she did for the sake of good.
sadly wasted potential but I LOVE him. I run a supreme magician deck with him as the ace as my main deck (I have 2 other decks I officially run in RL; unfinished blue-eyes, phantomknight) Zarc is truly the hero, that ArcV needed but they killed him off with Rey to just bring back Yuya and Yuzu... Zarc is just the perfect one to display the darkness in all people and that NORMAL people, just like you and me, could corrupt such a kind soul, who just wants to bring smiles to his fans When ArcV came first out, I... actually hated Pendulum and Yuya's Hippo, cause it was just pure cringe but when they dropped Shun and Yuto and the whole dimension thing, it was so fucking cool and crazy that I began to love it Then I started to realise how powerfull the pendulums are and just when it hit; Yuri carding all students; my first Dragon of the 4 heavenly dragons were Starving Venom Fusion Dragon (aside of the odd-eyes in the starterpacks that I bought ;P) And as it hit the supreme kings; I ordered so fast the 3; supreme king servant Clear Wing, Dark Rebellion and Starving Venom My Combos with these 3 were so beautiful so beautiful that Supreme king servant Dark Rebellion is still my second ace between Zarc and Beelze That he could turn the ATK of the enemy's Monster to 0 and getting these ATK
Its sad to see someone who wanted to entertain people but go down the wrong path but if you think about it it wasn't his fault he never wanted to hurt anyone it was the crowd that wanted more carnage and that influenced zarc and his dragons
I’m 4 years late. But whatever! Yeah! If you think about it, Zarc was literally just a victim of the rotten society that he lived in. I actually feel bad for him 😭
"Why isn't anyone fusing with something other than a dragon?! Hahaha..." Me: ...[imagines this scene]-- - Atem: _"NOW, I FUSE _*_MYSELF_*_ WITH MY DARK MAGICIAN!!"_ Kaiba: "Hold on, wha- WHY ARE YOU STICKING OUT OF YOUR DARK MAGICIAN'S HAT?!" - *Now,* let's go ahead and imagine this with DMG. _Along with all the jokes about Yugi/Atem being _*_inside_*_ DMG._ DMG: [Cute DMG giggling noises] Yugi & Atem: _"Awww, yeah(!)"_ Atem: "Wait, this doesn't count as sex...!" Funny Yugi/Atem does fuse with monsters like Dark Magician/Magician of Black Chaos and Black Luster Soldier in Capsule Monsters thanks to a plot device called Duel Armor.
Z-arc's journey towards wanton destruction is fascinating and sad how the entertainment industry aka Action Dueling exploited his love for the game and making people happy. I mean, it kept spiralling out of control that wanton destruction seemed to be the only logical end. Like unlike most villains who want senseless destruction, Z-Arc isn't doing this out of nihilism or he's "evil." He's like a Batman villain; tragically lost in psychosis and obsession among other things that make them twisted. In other words, it's the audience's approval he craves, not actual destruction. 🤷 At least, that's what I think. I mean, he's no Kefka Palazzo.
joaocisne556 unless Zarc pulls an op card that says “your opponent cannot summon monsters from the extra deck except pendulum/Fusion/synchro/Xyz 😂 and trust me he will have !!
Well all Zarc has to do is summon himself then mill the 4 SKSD to the grave and then use some card that summons them but treats it as properly summoned.
in her defense, Yuri was playing tricks on her pretending to not know what he was doing, but later he says "Did you really think I'd play with a deck that I hadn't prepared ahead of time" showing that he does know how to use it, just not as well as his usual deck.
Honestly I could be wrong since it is never literally specified but since he sounded playful, is known for manipulating, actually played the deck well and prepared the deck ahead of time I really think it's the case haha
@@ericgabrielalvesdecarvalho3496 i wouldn't call dropping 9 opponents in a row easy. his advent was epic, the issue was that the defeat was underwhelming.
He used the arc system when other duelists battled previously he planed this moment from the first when he has gone unbeatable and reincarnated using his traits to influence the yu boys similar vector's influence by don thousand when he possessed faker and vetrix.
the series had an enormous potential but got rushed focusing on old characters like we haven't explored much yet of the pendulum dimension characters further
I FINALLY got done watching this show of Yugioh and well... It was something but makes you wonder if there could have been more arcs in Arc-V. I actually watched all the episodes you uploaded and hope you upload profiles on characters from Vrains.
XD Zarc is honestly one of my favorite Charcater(Mainly due...to all the fanfiction) and just...You make a good point on all the references thus making him the Ultimate Villian (In a Way he Pulled a Arthas)
Zarc also reminds me of yubel, fusing with her own monster, becomeing corrupted, dealing with fused worlds/realities, having wings, and believeing in pain/suffering/defeat. btw do you plan to do a different dimension D.D. banish/remove archetype video? (alogn with maybe the stories relating to D.D.?)
Sounds like the only way to defeat Zarcs dragon is to either have exodia or return all cards in graveyard to their decks then use black luster soldier envoy of the beginnings effect
A riskier path is to abandon your Extra Deck completely, walk the 5th path of Ritual... and then overcome the massive Yuya-shaped problem that is the Supreme King Gate before Zarc decides to Burn the living crap out of you.
Please (when it's complete) do the story of the World Legacy archetype since its one of the biggest archetype story including: World Legacy, Krawler, Mekk-Knight, Knightmare, Crusadia, Orphegel and Guardragon
I still can't get over his dub voice. This is supposed to be the ultimate evil, the thing all the Yu-boy stuff was leading too...and his voice makes Dr. Doofenshmirtz sound deep by comparison.
jack slayer Ya, it's weird, I'm assuming that you know that Yubel has two upgraded form or evolutions. well during her final, and possibly her second, evolution she fused with it. Like I said it's weird you can look up Jaden's and Yubel's duel to see for yourself.
Zarc is the supreme king because Yuya yugo yuto and yuri are reincarnates of the original 4 protagonists. Thats why when they fuse together, they are the supreme king, because that is Jadens title
@@kichiroumitsurugi4363 i dont think as zone requires on his continous traps to summon his timelords if zarc destroy his traps then his strategy wont work
His duels were dope, but his character and design(dragonic form) as a whole was woefully lacking. IMO, he is the worst final Boss in the Yugioh Franchise (until will we see the final boss in VRAINS).
I mean, only Crow, Reiji, Leon and Ray did something, everyone else was useless. You can argue they help with Ray, but let's face it only reason the writer added that awful conditions on the En cards is to make them "useful"
Okay, theory that I haven"t heard people tall about a lot, but when Judai dies, the supreme king reincarnates again, so the theory is, something happened to yubel, maybe even turned into Ray(but thats just a thought, no real evidence, no real theory, just thoughs) but, zarc IS the supreme king, yuya/yu-boys ARE Judai, that is a theory I would like you to look at
That moment when you realize an “Overpowered” monster, especially those from the anime could just be Kaiju out since they would tribute the monster as a cost not an effect. #Kaijuoutseverything
Yea although considering you still have two giant Yuya-shaped problems, the Supreme King Gates, so even IF you can drop a Moth on that problem, the Gates are still there... a pure Kaiju user would only serve to buy time to gather a party, deal with the other mechanics, and basically have some kind of Zarc-Bane prepared by Professor Akaba to chuck at Zarc's smug mug... This is also the same problem if you try to engage a Negate War with Zarc via Drytron Heralds... all you're doing is both pissing Zarc off, and buy time... so the sooner the SUpreme King Gate is gone the better... really REALLY feels like a Raid boss in the end doesn't it? Edit: Now that I think about it, does feel like Zarc IS living your own Godzilla film, Professor Akaba being the guy that has a plan to sacrifice himself for the greater good, the other duelists in his little Gauntlet would be the JSDF guys and Ray is the Final Weapon as a desperation measure.
