Alex did the worst play with skilled dark magician after the video. Literally it had 3 spell counters on it at 46:51. He should know that no matter what even if it's a quick play spell skilled dark magician gets a spell counter on it. So on his turn his skilled dark magician had 3 counters on it so he could have tribute dark magician and got it back in that same turn.

Aren't you using crush card wrong? Effect: Tribute 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK; your opponent takes NO DAMAGE until the end of the NEXT turn after this card resolves...you kept attacking directly one turn too early.

At 46:51 when he activated majesty skilled dark magician would get his third counter so when you tributes dark Magician for dark magician girl you could special summon back dark magician

50:00 buster blader would get 1500 attack because of twin headed dragon he sacrificed to summon buster blader

Epic duals!! But the light flare on the cards on the top of the screen is pretty bad.. Maybe matt sleeves will help? It's pretty enoying.

These character structure deck duels are fun. When I was younger my mom ordered the japanese structure decks (didn't know about monetary value - now unopened's worth $$$). More duels like this would be cool using gimmick decks/cards and with your handsome friend, lol. Also, this might break your streak, but you're far from "unlucky" opening your packs, etc. lol. I don't play anymore, but I keep up thanks to youtube entertainment.

Z-Metal Tank and Y-Dragon Head don't protect the equiped monsters from card effects, just from battle destruction.

Fun idea. Build a deck using any 3 structure decks. Cant use 2 copies of the same structure deck. Along with duel devastator box. Now that's a budget friendly fun challenge.

Uhh Simply as far as I'm aware Union hangar only adds one LIGHT Machine-Type Union monster from your deck to your hand, therefore it doesn't work with X-Head Cannon. Also with its second effect, that also only works when a LIGHT Machine-Type Union monster is summoned, therefore it also doesn't work with X-Head Cannon.

I definitely going to create my own magnet warrior deck with XYZs and fusions! Great duel, gentlemen!

Awesome duels dude. I played my yugi structure deck today for the first time and managed to bust out the imperion magnum bot and demolish my friends kaiba structure deck. It was sweet. Very much depends on how early you can get that mag field spell card out though. Likewise with kaibas union hanger.

+SimplyUnlucky: The one playing yugi structer deck on the first round, I have seen a misplay. When SimplyUnlucky activated crush card, his opponent send card for crush card right away, that means he already accepted the resolution of Crush Card, so SimplyUnlucky"s opponent cannot activated the quick effect of Alpha the electromagnet warrior. You can't chain in the middle of a resolution, that his always been a rule. SimplyUnlucky opponent if he did this instead, before sending card for crush card virus, he would have to say chain and activated by tributing Alpha the electromagnet Warrior his chain link 2. So Alpha the electromagnet warrior resolve first and Speical summoned Alpha the magnet Warrior, and then crush card resolve as chain link 1 and Simply unlucky's opponent destroy all monster from his field and hand that has 1500 atk or more, not that hard to do that.

These duels are pretty great but I vote that there be a rematch. Alex definitely had some moves he could have done and it seemed like he just didn't notice he had them. I think both duelists should go over their decks and learn combos, then come back for another 2/3 match. That Yugi deck is definitely worse than the Kaiba one (as usual) but its pretty disappointing to see Yugi go 0-6. Alex needs to hold that Dark Magic curtain for longer, too. 4000 is too much to pay for DM when Kaiba has ROD/Crush Card/MWEOB and Kaibas monsters are all stronger than Yugis. Turn one Mirror Force was actually not so bad in the one game but I would have liked to see that held till later. Interesting decks and games nonetheless.

I think it's Skilled White Magician because the OCG name for Dark Magician is Black Magician so Skilled Dark Magician would be Skilled Black Magician in OCG

Your using crush card wrong, it says 'your opponent doesn't take damage until the end of the next turn'. His monsters don't get destroyed right away.

My strategy is to summon x head cannon and y dragon head or z metal tank and first fuse two to get xy dragon cannon or Xz tank cannon. Then I bring out the last card and fuse for xy dragon cannon. Then I wait until I have a assault core b buster drake and c crush vyvern and fuse for abc dragon buster last I fuse for A to Z dragon buster cannon!!

I have a question regarding the union monsters, if you have a union monster equipped to another union monster (lets say B-Buster Drake is equipped to C-Crush Wyvern) and it is attacked by an opponents monster that has 2000 attack. B-Buster Drake monster is destroyed, but do you apply damage calculation? and if you do, is the damage you received 500 because of the Buster Drake or 800 because of the Crush Wyvern?

They should have swapped decks.

23:05 sorry if I'm wrong or if its already been said, but when you use crush card virus I thought all damage your opponent takes until the end of the next turn becomes zero, which would mean when you did a direct attack it wouldn't have done any damage. Once again I'm not 100% sure about this, so if I am wrong please tell me

Me and my brother both bought these decks recently to duel and realized very quickly that Kaiba's deck is COMPLETELY OP! Too many cards to negate yu gi's monsters and way too many powerful monsters of his own. Kaiser glider for example is filthy

why the heck didnt that Alex guy fuse for the boss fusion magnet card in the beginning of the duel, (im only at the 11 minute mark when roman first used crush card). you could have negated the effect of crush card and still lived to see another day and possibly have won too

lol is people still really that salty about the new ARC V rules including Simply, to the point i've been watching the classic ways more lately, granted this was used for funzzies and i know they were having fun with that but still, imo the change wasn't that bad or crucial to the core itself of the game besides, using 2 field spells at the same time is nice imo (and duelist kingdom stuff lol)

I bought the Yugi deck just for nostalgia reasons. Would never even attempt a classic duel with it. Thing is, without "the heart of the cards" being an actual thing, his deck is a mess to duel with. It's okay if you buy multiples and part them out to build actual structured decks, though. I actually use an ABC Dragon Buster deck as my main, right now, though.
