Here's a recap of all the songs that competed for Yugoslavia + Serbia & Montenegro in Eurovision Song Contest from 1961 to 2005, now with some better footage. Please, enjoy!
Yugoslavia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 27 times, debuting in 1961 and competing every year until its last appearance in 1992, with the exceptions of 1977-1980 and 1985. Yugoslavia won the 1989 contest and hosted the 1990 contest.
Ljiljana Petrović was Yugoslavia's first entrant in the contest in 1961 and placed eighth. In 1962, Lola Novaković gave the country its first top five result, finishing fourth. This would remain Yugoslavia's only top five result until 1983, when Danijel finished fourth with the song "Džuli". Novi Fosili also finished fourth in 1987 with "Ja sam za ples". In 1989, the country achieved its only victory in the contest, when Riva won with the song "Rock Me".
The State Union of Serbia and Montenegro participated in the Eurovision Song Contest twice: in 2004 and in 2005. Their debut appearance was a success, with the song "Lane moje" performed by Željko Joksimović finishing second. The following year, they placed seventh, courtesy of the band No Name with the song "Zauvijek moja". Following the 2006 Montenegrin independence referendum, Serbia and Montenegro have participated in the contest as separate entities, making their independent debuts in 2007.

Some of these songs are still massive hits in former Yugoslavia countries! You can still hear them all at clubs, weddings and other celebrations. Gori vatra (1973), Dzuli (1983), Ja sam za ples (1987), Hajde da ludujemo (1990) and Brazil (1991) are probably the biggest ones! Timeless classics!

Well it is a bit compicated, Vlado Kalember was born in North Macedonia (today) but is Croatian , Zdravko Colic was born in Bosnia (today) but is Serbian, and there are many such examples so it is not that easy to categorize them in separate groups. Not to mention someone who has a Croatian mother, Bosnian father and is born in Slovenia for example. Too difficult to separate. 😂They were all Yugoslavian before the separation and I think that it is what makes this compilation so beautiful. ❤️

Sladjana Milosevic (may her soul rest in peace) and Dado Topic sang a beautiful ballad Princeza (Princess). It was in the year 1984 on Jugovizija (Yugoslav song contest for Eurovision). It is the most beautiful song ever made, in my opinion. It failed to win, but I think that if it had gone, it would have made a planetary success. I highly recommend people to hear it. That is the only Eurovision-made song from Yugoslavia that I admit as exceptional. I am not trying to say that others are bad, but Princeza is my number 1.

You are putting two different countries in the same basket. Yugoslavia was composed of six republics, now independent states. And they all share the legacy. Serbia and Montenegro are a separate country.

@wolfman1236
@wolfman1236 Месяц назад
@maxthepenguin69 You're wrong. Croatia did not exist as a country in 1990. It was still Yugoslavia in 1990. She was the host in 1990. not Croatia.
@crnogorskosrce5351
@crnogorskosrce5351 Месяц назад
@maxthepenguin69 This is getting absurd. On this channel, I don't know why, Croatia is listed as the host country for 1990. On every video. In 1990, Croatia did not exist as an internationally recognized country, but Yugoslavia, which won the esc in 1989. That's the whole story. This is a historical fact that is stated everywhere except on this channel.

Well that would contain a snippet of only one song, so it's hardly worth making a Morocco video at the moment. Morocco will need to come back next year and participate for at least the following five years to have enough clips to be worth making a video.
