The best part of Todo’s moment is that at least in the Crunchyroll sub, the song that starts playing when Todo’s locket opens is literally called *”Takada Chan - Climax JUMPING”*

Todo actually used the power of love to open his domain.. he had a whole ass domain expansion…the fact that mahito was getting jumped by a schizophrenic and his imaginary girlfriend is wild. He was not having mahito rip his pendent

The scene where Todo says "The act of applause is an acclamation of the soul" is a reference to Netero vs Meruem in Hunter X Hunter where Netero tells Meruem that he doesn't need two arms to pray after (also) getting his left arm cut off. Really cool.

Nobody seems to notice the fact that yuji performed a black flash at will. The little exposition card was shattered by his next actions

Todo imagining himself beating up Mahito with Takada-Chan had me in tears bro 😂 And Yuji threatening to kill Mahito for the rest of time was absolutely CHILLING 🥶 I think this is a big turning point for his character

5:26 mahito changed that part of his body so that yuji would be slowed down by the change and mahito would land the punch first but mahito didn’t know that yuji still had divergent fist which hit mahito after a lag

They said suffering builds character, suffering builds character, over and over again And I was like "Bruh, Yuiji ain't gonna take the suffering no more, stop making him suffure" But they kept on cooking, making Yuji suffure some more, then this episode came. that's when I said "Yep, them niggas was right, suffering does build character, they cooked" and the results was outstanding

"Mahito changed that side of his body, and I got no clue why he did that" It's explained in the manga, but Mahito switching half of his body back to normal changed his shape enough to throw off Yuji's aim and timing on that punch. So it didn't fully connect and had no chance of delivering a black flash due to how awkwardly it landed. Awkward or not though it was all Yuji needed for divergent fist at least, which threw off Mahito's next attack in the exact same way.

Yuji finally locked in and was ready to catch a body this ep. Shame it took the deaths of two of his friends plus Todo being incapacitated before he was ready to stand on business tho.

Bro Mahito runnin away like a little bitch after Yuji gave him the "I exist to kill you" speech was too satisfying.

Itadori has been built to be some guy who wants to save people but... he also has someone that can controlling him If he feels like it and cause chaos, yeah... Character balance.

The multiple references to other shonen protagonists in this episode was so awesome to me. The amount of care and consideration that’s going into this adaptation is incredible.

I like how yuji isn’t just overpowered, the growth in his character development is done well

I love todo with 1 arm lied through his teeth and straight up gaslighted mahito into losing

Mahito learned why it’s a bad idea to beef this hard with the one mf immune to his Mickey Mouse ass abilities. And Mahito changed his body to bait Yuji in so he could counter and take his head, but Yuji had mastered divergent fist in his fight with Choso and used it to counter Mahitos counter then todo came in with the nefarious fake switch so Yuji could cleanly boom Mahito into fraudwatch list bc how you get a power up and still get walked down like a bitch by a punch and kick merchant(my goat Yuji was straight up villainous with that speech)

Todo's sacrifice was beautiful, he is the embodiment of a big brother and low key the real hero IMO.

In the manga, he turned that part of his body back into his original form in order to bait Yuji into punching his vulnerable spot. He was planning to eat his punch and then slice Yuji up with his elbow blades. The anime kinda did the scene wrong by making Mahito do it after Yuji already threw his punch instead of having him do it before Yuji threw his punch.

Manga has the explanation as to why mahito changed a part of his body...It was to lure Yuji so Mahito could land a mean one on him but he didn't expect the divergent fist to come in clutch.. Yuji had perfected it into a fighting technique rather than just keeping it as a bad habit as seen in season 1

3:39, One thing this series seems to do a lot is “power-boost” moments during a fight as they get some kind of epiphany about their power or experience enough negative emotion to fuel their power (which runs on the concept of negativity). Both heroes and villains have achieved some new level or discovered a new ability while in a fight, usually while they’re losing, like Gojo figuring out how to heal with his energy and perfecting his energy blasts as he was dying or Mahito figuring out how to project his Innate Domain into a pocket dimension while getting pummeled into being scared for his life for the first time.

Jumpings in JJK is so mandatory that Todo's *imagination* jumped him.

So Mahito partially deactivate Instant body of distorted killing because he knew Yuji was gonna aim for the softer spot, and tryna finish him off using the elbow blade but he didnt expect a second impact that knocked him off balance.

Was also confused about Mahito removing his armor so I read the manga chapter for it. Mahito lost both of his sword elbows from the previous black flash, and by moving his armor to one side of his body it allowed him to regenerate his sword, so after Yuji would punch hi he would lob Yuji’s head off. But what ended up happening is in this one moment Yuji could control when divergent fist second impact hit, which made Mahito miss, and the todo scene made Mahito think a switch was coming which allowed Yuji to hit a black flash. I think the director did not want to include the narrator statements because it would screw up the flow of the battle.

The fact that mahito pulled the "Nanomachines son" on Yuji was crazy.
