This is just how Shonen is written, it's not JJK exclusive. Madara fought the entire world in Naruto and won up until the plot literally made him lose. Aizen beat the entire Soul Society by himself. Both are way more impressive and plot armory than Sukuna killing a bunch of high schoolers and their twenty something year old teacher.

The soul dismantle probably damaged Sukuna more than anything else in this fight. But he threw up fingers which means the fingers still exist. If those fingers are around after all this time there may be no way to permanently kill Sukuna. His fingers will always be around.

Hey hey hey hey, this is a different level of plot armour yeah protagonists definitely get a lot of plot armour but name a protagonist that has this many ass pulls and just this many random counters to everything that he encounters. I don't think there's another protagonist that has that. Not counting the you know op ones like Anos thing since they're supposed to be overpowered

I've been saying that Sukuna vs The Sorcerers feels like an actual boss fight because he's showing why hes the strongest and hasnt been defeated yet, that being said he will inevitably lose and the merger will happen, its gonna be epic

The reason sukuna didnt die is because Yuta's hollowpurple unlike Gojo's did not fuse the red and blue which can be shown from the two circles next to teach other, not touching. Unlike Gojos hollow purple visuals show his red and blue intersecting.
the purple didnt work properly because yuta didnt overlap(u can see it in the page) it which made it imperfect cause it probably blast in random directions destroying both of their domains
honestly its more fun that way, it would be hella boring if they just jumped him won and didn't face the consequences of challenging the king of curses

Actually this plot armour is more justifiable than you think (to a certain extent). I mean I always got the vibe that while gojo power does come from his genetics it also comes from hard work and when a special grade scorcer like yuta tries to use against sukuna it makes sense why it would do some damage yet he would lose control of it.

Resurrection shrine is coming gege is going to hard bait with yuji last man standing only for him to create a new domain expansion with all his techniques and rct combined and absorb merger/sukuna to bring everyone who’s died since the series started back to life by some magical plot armor way since yuji is absorbing sukuna in this situation getting every ounce of plot armor left in the verse💀 but it’s some crazy stuff so yuji takes away all the cursed energy in the world for it to work with a binding vow on top of it with the cost of his life and ofc merger/sukuna getting rid of all curse energy (leave the in depth details to gege)

I predict Yuji will make sukuna vomit all the finger's in megumi's body through repeated use of dismantle, then swallow those fingers himself, maybe not all in one go, but still. I think whats gonna happen, is that even after sukuna's defeated, the goal will be to make him puke all the fingers with Yuji's dismantle so that then sukuna has no control over megumi's body anymore since there are no more fingers left in him, and then they can finally just go on the have an actual life for once.
