She starts off trying to be aloof and independant, but in the end is ready to face the apocalypse and risk losing everything again for a chance to see Door-kun one more time. One of the best character arcs in the entire series. I even took a dive against her in the answer just so see if I could.
@@elcomemierda2624 I like it too, but admittedly it has fundamental pacing/grinding issues. They clearly heavily padded out the experience and particularly the gameplay to justify a standalone expansion. Also the whole arena segment got criticized, which I kinda get. That should've just been an emotional impromptu battle instead of a weird tournament.
Ah Yukari. Everyone only sees you for The Answer, even though The Answer's ending shows her growing out of that. I hate how P3 spinoffs just looked at popularity polls and, instead of trying to change people's opinions on Yukari like they semi-successfully did with Ken, they just abandoned her and pushed Aigis as the canon waifu instead.
I won’t forgive the movie for downplaying it But I hope it gets a remake for their love to become cannon again and make sure aigis stays in the friendzone
I think the worst part about The Answer is how shes the only one reacting healthily to the death of the Protag and gets treated like the bad guy for it. Like in universe he died less then A MONTH AGO and everyone's already trying to move on. Like what?
@@ThiccFurryBoi34 Do I have the news for you lol. Not only am I hoping that Yukari gets more time to shine in the remake, but I hope we get to see even more romance between the two. I mean, Aigis was just feeling guilty about MC and that's what made her grow so attached, and not really romantically either, more like a puppy to its owner.
personally i think yukari is the main and officially love interest of the mc in persona 3. my main reason is out of everyone in p3 fes answer she the one who wanted to go back in time the most to be with the mc again. it really is tragic but heartwarming how much she cares bout the mc.
Yeah and note that no other game in persona series (persona 1,2,4,5) that had more deep and close relationship between mc and the main girl group like yukari and makoto in persona 3.
The fact that she directly reflects the path of the Goddess Isis who sacrificed everything on her quest to revive her husband, this girl loved Makoto to DEATH.
Yukari’s an absolute waifu. Honestly one of my two favorite P3 waifus. I love her not only for her stylishness(and not to mention attractiveness),but because of how she portrays a teenager. What I mean is her kind of personality and behavior. As well as how she takes everything that happens to her. I find a lot of aspects of her to be a really realistic and I think that’s what makes her great. In fact things like how she was in the Answer made me like her more. It’s honestly compelling to me. Yukari’s a great A waifu for sure. Not as good a certain toaster though. And so I humbly beg for a “Aigis is Waifu Material” vid.
tbh Aigis just feels like a generic "robot trying to be human" archetype that's been around since at least Star Trek. I know it's new for Persona, but it's an old trope
@@GiordanDiodato Her arc can’t really go anywhere except the “become more like a human” route, but it’s done so well and uniquely that it’s much more profound and special.
I love her the most, coz she's the most realistic girl in the game, well at least for me. Toxic mouth, cheery attitude, stylish, portrays teenage the best, etc. (Idk man, my main langguage is not english, i describe many stuff that i like about her, but i can't express it in english)
This channel is only inspecting robots and humans and neko girls and other for different kinds of material that they are but animals are not one of them!
@@dharmairmansyah2844 Growing up hearing about ghost/spirit stories from my extended family and grandparents.... That shit can keep you up at night if you really get paranoid. I agree with you, I'd rather much prefer to fight shadows instead.
Honestly in The Answer Yukari was really the only one who was grieving at a normal rate. Junpei, Akihiko, Mitsuru, Ken, and Fuuka were all acting like they went through all the stages within a few days and were over it. Just how she was sobbing uncontrollably saying how much she misses Minato and would be willing to go back before Nyx and see if Junpei was right and they didn't beat Nyx, they just barely survived. All of that plus other reasons makes me believe shes the canon love interest and honestly theres been many times within the past few years that even though its arguably one of the most stupid choices, if I could go back in time to see a friend or family who died just one last time, a big part of me would say do it. Yukari gets WAY more shit than she deserves, if anything I'd call her the most human(and in my experiences) the most relatable party member
Same i hate Yukari in The Answer because she act like a bitch and often trash talking to everyone, But i still kinda like Yukari in the Journey because she was Less annoying and still loveable
Maybe because she (and almost the entire P3 cast, even himself) is cold with Makoto at the first half of the game, also, she's pretty useless in battle
Well everytime i played Persona 3 i ended up liking one of the girls more than the rest. First was Mitsuru, 'cause she so smart and serious and she has that "superior aura" around her. 2nd was Aigis, a sweet and caring android that made me feel responsible for her, and then comes Yukari that felt like aigis a bit 'cause she tries to sound and act like everything is okay and it's not and me as player needed to take a good care of her
Akihiko's money after the amount of times everybody has said "I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS": uncountable Akihiko: I think I have more than enough for life
I know there are a good number of people who don’t like her, but I feel like she is one of the most layered characters in Persona, especially P3. She is bubbly and friendly on the surface, but has a lot she is struggling with regarding her past, family, and insecurities. This doesn’t always manifest in a healthy or friendly way, but I think it is realistic and understandable.
4:16 It's not a spin-off. When Yukari becomes Pink Argus, that's actually canon. I will say that I agree with what you said on 5:17 about Yukari and Minako. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw it that way.
I started out as a full Mitsuru simp, but around my second playthrough Yukari really grew on me. Other P3 girls feel a little bit tropey, while Yukari has the most character development, a lot of scenes exploring her character, and in general she reacts to stuff in the game like a normal person. Also her haircut is pretty cute.
Love her sad she was the cannon love interest in the storyboard to becoming a side character and lost her romance option a robot that was the reason he got death in him
I appreciate you making these character overviews. I used this video to help build my own original character, and I've noticed that I'm actually a lot like Yukari myself. Cheerful and enthusiastic to a point.
I think she's the most beautiful girl among all Persona games. I like her character design and her tsundere-like personality. And yeah, of course, why not mentioning, it's kinda obvious, just in case there's some doubt about it, I must say, *her skirt*
I can tell as a Mexican I see some jokes of the nickname of Yukari "Yuka-tan" and the mexican state of Yucatan. And good example of this is a map of the Yucatan peninsula with the Yukari hair.
Very similar to Ann. Both are strong at heart, and great when it comes to style. People complain Yukari is a terrible person, being horrible means treating those around, like crap.
Honestly, I'll gladly take Ann over Yukari, because Ann just feels like a more pleasant person to be around. Yukari gives me too many haughty bitchy unpleasant tsundere vibes.
I relate to Yukari tbh I use my sarcasm and overly optimistic personality as a cover to hide that I have depression and anxiety, and I care for everyone that I trust and have gained my trust and my arcana is the lovers, and like her I lost my dad a few years ago
So Hard to decide one Waifu as your Favorite in a Game like Persona 3, but definitely Yukari it's my Favorite by far. Ironic because was when I started to loving her, is when I found out how much hated she was. I could never understand why it happen, but she's a very Realistic Girl and very Smart than the other one of her High School. She isn't Perfect at all, but she felt so human. I love Characters who have courage and don't lose dignity so easily, like her Mom. And even with that Strong and Sarcastic Side of her, Takeba is so Charming by her Look and when she really is the Best Part of her by being cheerful and Optumist with the others of course. She deserves more love and respect. Best Girl in the Game 💗 ✨
Damn. Did you have to throw that song there in the end? Gave me the big sad again. I like how in Q2 when she introduces herself to everyone, Ann and Futaba are very well aware about who Yukari is like "Oh! It's HER!," in a good way.
The problem with her, at least for me, is that she needed me to be COOL to spend the day with her. Then after that, she starts loving me one-sidedly when I'm already in a relationship with Chihiro Fushimi, so I just outright ignored her from social level 6. Like, she is relatable and all, but telling someone that you don't want to be seen in school with him is quite harsh...
There's also the mandatory scenes with her and the MC to consider. And yeah, for someone who's supposed to "understand" the MC as a kindred spirit, the whole Max Charm requirement to get her social link started when she's supposed to be a party member really turns me off. I know people are gonna kill me for saying this, but I'll gladly go with Ann from 5, because to me, Ann feels more understanding, and the only thing she needs is level 2 kindness. Ann will always have a special place in my heart. Yukari just feels like a Tsundere who acts unpleasant, but all of a sudden she flips a switch and now acts like your girlfriend.
