I was there at the 93 Jack the Rapper. It wasn't Orlando Florida, it was Atlanta Georgia at the Marriott on Peachtree. And yes, the Miami niggas came thru and tore shit up. I was a witness
We don't talk tuff and band people from Florida like other states..We invite everybody to come party in Florida and enjoy the women and weather but if you get out of line we got ways of correcting that shit ASAP
Hip Hop conventions were the best!!! We were in middle and highschool going to the ones that came thru Atlanta. My boy was connected to Lil Jon. Jack the Rapper, The Gavin, etc. Fifteen years old got to smoke a Philly blunt with Ball & MJG. I was so cool on the outside but a damn wreck on the inside. Lol
I believe u fam, because i randomly bumped into 8ball & mjg on an elevator in Miami at the Sheraton Hotel for black college weekend.. Saw The Game w/30-40 bloods lined up on Ocean Drive that same weekend ...hell i got to smoke a blunt w/Bun B in Patchwerk studios in Atlanta, same night i met Usher. I used to rap, for context.
With No Disrespect To Yukmouth,Luke Had A Album Out in 1993(In The Nude)Plus H-Town BLEW Up,So Luke Had And Always Had Shit Popping ESPECIALLY in the 90s and Luke Beat down Death Row(Even Suge Knight didn't want no smoke)
@@kweli05 - Orlando was worse - 95 South Boyz Whoops there it is - Guy was there deep throwing Chairs. FAT JOE held it down. Many of these Rappers flaked.
Jack The Rapper in Atlanta and How can I be down in Miami were the 2 largest Hip Hop conventions. On everything I love, Eminem handed me and my friend copies of “Infinite”. I thought he was trashy af and my homie said he sucked without listening to him. Eminem turned red but left. I went to the hotel later that night and I listened to his album. I said “man this white boy dope as fuck. He raps like Nas but it’s dope”. My friend who diss Em earlier also listened to the album then said “man this white boy nice son”. We saw Eminem the next day at the conference and my friend asked to take a picture with him and had him autographed the Infinite album. My homie said “That white boy is going to be famous so I gotta get this money while he ain’t shit”. To this day, I wished I would have done that shit.
The Luniz helped Bad Boy have some legitimacy while touring Cali at the height of the eastcoast - westcoast rivalry. Cali was Bad Boy's largest market.
Trick rocking with South Miami Heights, Goulds, Perrine, Towners, the sub, the city, the locks, and C.C.( Ain't rocking no colors, just the paints, and the bag it came in)
@@dawgpound187 When I got 5 On It dropped, it was the biggest thing in the country! People from everywhere were listening to that song! So yeah at one point Yuk was bigger than Pac. Because remember before DeathRow Pac had hits and was already a superstar but he didn’t have a classic hood hit yet he didn’t have hit that can play in the clubs. That’s what I got 5 on it was
@@MrAliBey I was there too with Luke's camp, Snoop ain't look so tough getting beat down in the elevator & bitch ass Dre ran back to his room leaving his homie to take on all of us lol
This did not happen in Florida it was in ATL i was there when it went down . i was up on 6 or 7 floor talking with some guys who were with Pandisc records, all of a sudden I heard folks hollering and it went down!!! We all ran out the room and looked over and i swear it looked like the representation of a fight in cartoons where you see a cloud with fists and feet and lightning bolts and shit coming out of it. them cats was scrappin!. Luke's camp was thick up in there death row was not ready.
I was at the 93 Convention @The Marriott ATL, just before The ChronicTour evencame through(Whichwasnearly Cancelled because DeathRow weren't trying to pay a Mill for InsuranceDeposit(even tho they were Grossing more$ by the End of The Night..
Yuk has a very strong knowledge of the industry. Wonder how much he eating these days off royalties? He don't look broke...and living in California isn't exactly cheap.
I believe Yuk just gave us all the why.........why are so many rappers are dying......without even knowing.....real niggas caught that #BLACKWALLSTREET
I think he got it confused cause if I remember the fight happened in Atlanta or they maybe fought again in Orlando. I know”how can I be down” convention used to be in Orlando. That was the one on “rhyme and reason” I used to go to the Bonner Bros hair convention too cause it was around the same time as Jack da rapper, and all the beautiful ladies would come to ATL for the hair convention I think it was in 1994
Jt money an trick daddy was laying niggaz down they ran death row out of Florida an Suge knight had to meet with Luke an squash the beef so they could come back to Florida to do shows Luke talks about it in his book he said he tried squashing the beef but death row was like fuck that so there whole hood went up there to let death row know they a fucking with the wrong one
Hiphop convention was to educate the rappers with the record deals and to educate them with spending money, there a clip of puffy dancing try to get rappers to join badboy.
If Danny boy was there and he ran Luke boys had no problem finding him that goddamn s-curl juice was dripping while he was running the carpet left a trail looking like somebody was running with a full pale of water 😂
With all due respect to yuk....that was 2 separate occasions. I was hosting the death row shit...The Luke and death row incident was at the Hilton in Atlanta in 93...I was the one who was in the middle...I opened the door when Luke's crew came in wit golf clubs and bats...the other incident was in Orlando when they changed rooms on the death row show and security got into with death row...ask me about it cam.
The fact that Yuk Don't want to go into details you can tell that Death Row lost that one he knows Snoop is at the top of the game and Dre at the top of the game right now and he don't want to expose that on his West Coast partners and yeah people don't give him his roses while He's here as one of the best lyricists ever but when he's gone they'll be revering him as just that watch what I tell you
Even as a kid I felt Death Row was too hyped up ppl act like the guys were bulletproof and indestructible because the Media niggas can't just stomp thru niggas hoods but they made it like here come big bad Death Row and can't nobody do nothing but run and hide
@@youngfase5 They were just out numbered. If Luke and his people would have went to LA talking crazy, Suge would have brought out every blood in LA and it would have been all bad. But Luke ain't crazy.
Any of yall who were there like i was remember this group of girls walking around up in there with these skimpy shiny black patent leather cat suits on complete with tails and ears and shit callin themselves the kitty cat crew? they had this one 6 foot tall chick in the group. when i tell you she had a camel toe that was cuttin!, I believe they were trying to get signed with someone.
Not a fair fight. Death Row were simply unprepared for what happened. Had they known what was going down before hand, then may have been completely different.
Death Row got they asses handed to them, I was there, why you think they decided to beef Bad Boy after that? Cause they know they cant F wit Luke, ask Snoop Dogg what happened to him in that elevator LOL he aint never gonna forget that
