@mamabear3327, Yule or Winter Solstice is not pagan, but Christmas is, i am a believer follower worshiper of YaHUaH Mein VATER und Hochster ALUAH through HIS Son YaHUsHa The Messiah whom people call Jesus, and i celebrate winter solstice
Me lembro como se fosse hoje do primeiro natal que passei sozinho (2018) e ouvi todas essas músicas. Um sentimento inexplicável. Tudo q passei me tornou melhor.
Obrigado!
Yule has existed for quite some time especially before "Christmas" came into existence. Yule is an early Northern European celebration this is a time of new beginnings, rebirth, transformation, getting rid of unwanted habits, and creativity. The symbols of Yule are evergreens, the Yule Log, a Yule tree, mistletoe, holly, wreaths, and bells. Until the mid-19th century, Christians viewed the Yule tree (Christmas tree) as a foreign pagan custom. Pagans would bring fir trees into their homes at Yuletide because it represented everlasting life and fertility. So technically Christmas DID IN FACT come from Yule Celebrations also known as the Winter Solstice Celebration. You can also search on Google about Yule, it's traditions and customs if you wish. But most of my knowledge comes from research and great friends who also celebrate the Holiday. I prefer to say Happy Holidays to people because not everyone celebrates Christmas and can get quite offended (trust me) if I say "Merry Christmas" I have in fact dealt with a few people who got quite angry. And so my lesson learned when I was 18 was to do research. Some celebrate Hanukkah, Boxing Day, St. Nicolas Day, Immaculate Conception Day, Bodhi Day, Feast Day of Our Lady Guadalupe, Yule, and Christmas. I do apologize for such a long reply but I believe it's important to educate people than to hate as sometimes they do not know. But! In conclusion, Christmas is descended from Yule hundreds of years ago. Thank you for reading and have a blessed holiday season! 🎉🎄🎉
To me it’s just a reminder that their Christmas traditions are rooted in our Pagan traditions. We, as Pagans, are the foundation of holidays like Yule. They may try to overshadow us, but without our roots they wouldn’t exist. We are enduring, like the earth itself.
