RIP Clint. So very sad. One of my favorite actors, with a voice as grand as he was big. Sorry to say his passing was hardly mentioned in the media. Night of the Grizzly, Yellowstone Kelly, The Dirty Dozen, and of course, Cheyenne... classics.

What a fine movie with a great cast. Clint Walker was the epitome of a Western hero; slow to speak, shows bravery, wisdom and integrity while doing the decent thing. I imagine he was like that in real life. In all of my research I’ve never read a single negative comment about Mr. Walker. There will never be another actor like him. Sure wish there were more taped interviews with him. After his accident and heart surgery he never was filmed bare chested again.

Morgan Woodward was a great actor. He liked working on Gunsmoke, he appeared about 25 times and each story he was in was the best. He acted with Arness in a Gunsmoke TV movie in 1990's...excellent much because he played a sheriff...and was Matt Dillon's long absent friend.

Bing- "Although best known as the deputy on Bonanza (1959) and Robert in The Magnificent Seven (1960), Russell's notoriety on a national level was as the owner of the Portland Mavericks Baseball Club. Helming the only independent team in the class A Northwest League, Russell was an innovator. Before Bull Durham (1988), there were the Mavericks. Russell kept a 30 man roster because he believed that some of the players deserved to have one last season. His motto was simply one three lettered word - not WIN - although the Mavericks did just that - no, the word was FUN. He created a park that kept all corporate sponsorship outside the gates, hired the first female general manager in professional baseball, and the following year hired the first Asian American GM/Manager. That same season his team set a record for the highest attendance in Minor league history, and went on to win the pennant. Ex-major leaguers and never-weres who couldn't stop playing the game flocked to his June tryouts, which were always open to anyone that showed up. From as far away as Capetown, and France, players would head to Portland for a chance with Russell's Mavericks." -IMDB

That was really great! Clint Walker has always been my favorite - him and Randolph Scott. I wish Mr. Walker had done more movies; he was so under-rated as an actor. You can see how Tom Selleck & Sam Elliott had an essence of Walker in them. Great story - like watching a detective story play out.

Clint Walker seemed to come across as a quiet strong human being. I like him in Yellowstone Kelly with John Russell and Edd Byrnes. To me, he came across strong and a stud without having to flaunt or overstate his physical presence. Speak of physical conditioning, who else would have been able to take a ski pole puncture to the heart and be able to return to work 2 months later.

Cloud Dweller: yes, it was a very excellent movie. I think the old time actors are better then the newer kind. As the newer actors don't show the true love for acting like the old ones did. Of course my opinion too. I must add however. There are some new actors who are very good. But a lot of new actors stink in movie acting.

Cheyenne and all those WB westerns bring back such wonderful memories. In the small KY town I lived in, we'd watch a western and go outside and choose sides, play cowboys until it was too dark to see. Of course everyone wanted to be the hero. I'm 68 years old now and those westerns really are great. I make sure I can catch at least Maverick and Cheyenne. Thanks for the memories Mr. Bodie
