I take the Predator out for an unedited ride. 1st camera video for me. I kept the camera intentionally low so you could see the display. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I actually checked it last week. I don't like removing the deck plate often, but last time I did, it was after a ride and I confirmed that the water pump was active. Yume told me that has a very low threshold and comes on way before the controllers are hot.
Thank you brother. I'm using a DJI Action 4 with a chest mount harness. This scooter is so awesome. It's XXL, so it's not for everyone, but it's like having 5he SUV of scooters. 💪
Hi Elliot - Congrats on your Predator purchase! I am looking seriously at he Predator, so I appreciate the vids that you’ve put up! If possible, can you address whether it has any level of brake regen, please. I’m doubtful because Yume absolutely makes no mention of it on their site (which is pretty good, IMO!). Also, if you could touch on the Yume Ride app’s features if you use it at all. Thanks in advance & ride safe! 😎
Hey there and thank you for watching. I can tell you that the Predator does not have any appreciable regenerative braking. It does use electronic motor braking to fortify the hydraulic brakes, and that is implemented perfectly. From what I have seen on the Internet, there are very few scooters that actually have true regen braking that makes a difference in real world range. Many companies use motor braking synonymously with regen, which is misleading. Regarding the app, I don't use it, so I can't offer feedback. The controls are super simple and straightforward, so the app is redundant for me. 🙂
@elliotbaltazar Cool... Thank you so much for the reply and info! This helps a lot... Motor braking assist is just fine for me (to help prolong brake pads, etc.). Appreciate it! And just sub'd. to the channel. Take care. 🙂
Great video homie. Definitely smooth scooter. You must have never fallen off a scooter before? 😅 I wear gloves and and full pads when I ride. I want to keep all my skin if I fall. 😆
Thank you brother. You're right, haven't fallen yet, so I still have that dumb overconfidence. 🤦 I usually have my leather jacket and sometimes gloves. I will be more diligent. Thanks for looking out. 🙏
Thanks for watching! So, when I first got it, I did a run up to around 40mph and when I let go of the throttle, it started hopping like crazy. 😂 I put the damper on the next day and it eliminated it completely. I assumed that was what it needed. Since then, I have also adjusted the suspension, and it somehow feels even more solid! I haven't tested it yet, but I wonder if the suspension was the cause of the hopping the whole time. One day, I'm going to test it without the damper, and just the suspension adjusted for speed.
@@user-tt6mn5cd5f I think you're exactly right about it being set too soft. I just rode it without setting it up. When I adjusted it for the first time, it was completely at it's softest setting. That's definitely what caused the hopping. It wasn't typical speed wobbles. It's rock solid now. I take one hand off without issues if I'm adjusting the camera.
If I remember, the damper was super hard to slide through the clamp. Like really really tough! Other than that, it was all good. I don't use the app, I didn't like it.
Great question but honestly that's comparing apples to oranges. The difference between a sit-down scooter and a standing scooter are night and day. If you were looking for the most performance and range between the two, then the Predator is an easy win. If I personally had to keep only one of the two for myself, again I would choose the Predator. Bigger, faster, better suspension, and more range. I prefer a standing scooter too.
@@elliotbaltazar Oh absolutely, I understand what you mean. The reason why I brought the rrp into this is because I currently own a Zooz uu1100 and absolutely love it, but obviously am limited with range and top speed. Therefore instead of getting a bigger motor, battery and controller I figured I’d just get a new pev. My cousin I ride with has a goped and has a little more top speed and I wanna keep up with him. He suggested that I should get a goped as well, but I’m not really about being loud and calling attention to me… With that being said I was looking into the rrp or the “yume hawk pro”… I’ve read that the rrp in the fastest mode drains battery like nothing. I appreciate the extremely fast and detailed response Elliot!
@@joserivera-lg5up I just looked up your E-bike and that's a great looking machine!!! I absolutely agree with you about a gas scooter. I am not down for that noise. The Hawk Pro is a sweet little ride. One of my friends has one and he lives it. Yume also just released the Raptor, which I think is comparable to the Hawk Pro in performance. Since you already have a sit-down PEV, I would definitely lean towards a standing one as your next purchase. The RRP is a great little vehicle, especially for the price. It's a little rough around the edges, but it's quick and fun, but the battery is weak. As for the Predator, make sure you have plenty of space to store it. LOL! It's the size of a full size motorcycle. I love it though! Don't forget that the Predator battery is unique among PEVs and has a much longer lifespan.
Lovely neighborhood some people use that go pro camera that fancy equipment to video record from different angles. I really dont care about all that I use same camera phone holder like you lol. Anyways brotha be careful too of passing by police above 50 mph, 2 or 3 years of me riding escooter I never been pulled over surprisingly and I have passed by police multiple times.
No cruise control my friend, although this cruiser could really benefit from it. I have cruise on my two other scooters but have never used it. On a long distance without many stops, I imagine it could come in handy.
@@elliotbaltazar I bet your other scooters aren't Yume. This company has cruise-phobia or some ish like that, none of their scooter seem to have cruisers. I've ridden scooters with cruise control and it makes long commute seem like you're in a car. This is really bad of them, if I knew they didn't have it, I wouldn't have purchased it.
@@elliotbaltazar I'm 6"3 105kg, live in a hilly area out here in Poland, the Hawk & Hawk Pro were the only once available to us in this area of the world, which one of the Yume scooters or something from other brands would you recommend at the Hawk Pro's price range?
Dude that's awesome. Give Jenny a shout. This is who I bought my scooter from. She's the sales rep for Yume. This is the link to their Alibaba page and she may get you a little better price than the yumeway website. x.alibaba.com/AwFbOd?ck=minisite Let me know how it goes brother 👍
Had it up to 55mph but the same thing happened to me when I let of the throttle go a little wobble it still had power left I'm sure it will do 60mph plus
Awesome!!! I love this rig. The power is so consistent and the overall size of the scooter is amazing. Huge deck space and massive tires give me a rock solid sense of stability. Please let me know how you like it once you put it through it's paces. Be sure to install your steering damper before you do high-speed runs.
@@elliotbaltazar its cool i can handle speed lol my scooter goes 55mph i got it a few months ago its a 60v 26ah 3200w peak power 5600w i paid 1400 pounds for that one with 2 years warranty , but i demand the acceleration you have . mine picks up too 40mph real quick i think about 8s but getting that extra speed takes some time. but i do like it though it called the envirorides EVR , i have the baby version that does 45mph love that one has launch mode acceleration is high but its only a 52v 2400w peak power 3600w
It's very stable with the steering damper installed. I agree with you as far as these controllers being capable of 70mph, but I'm sure the scooter is limited to the advertised 63mph. I'm 240lbs and 6'3", so the wind resistance for me is horrible. Thanks so much for watching 👍
i think you must try the smartphone whit a speed app on gps, becous my sence s say. uh uh no 60miles,and wat is that sound,???maby u must try street tires, becous it make so much sounds i think whit street tires it make a nicer sound to!!!but you can check whit your phone the true speed!!!becous 45miles phr is almost 100km phr and i don’t think you go that fast!!!
You're right my friend, the tires are a little loud. They actually perform better than I expected though. I would like to try street tires at some point, but the tire size is not common. I think the speedometer is very accurate. There is another channel that tested with a dragee gps and found the same results. I have read too many people complain about their phones getting ruined by the vibration of a phone holder while riding. I only ride for fun. 😊
