hi im back whattt say what i love yume nikki fan games whatttt
this gotta be one of my favourite YNFGs all around it was so fun to explore it esp with soms (i do so near the end of the video).. im so glad it was added to YNO.. speaking of YNO i have a lot of footage of it that i have been meaning to upload, but i have been a little hesitant on uploading this style of video again. lmk if you'd wanna see more (i def will either way)

don’t be scared of making content that you like making! Besides Yuunari and myself (if I even count lol), you’re the only other person I know of that makes YNFG content with commentary, and you have the ability to take that content in whatever direction you like! Whether your videos are in-depth visits of fangames, looking at the history of 2kki, or just goofing around in whatever game/context, I’m sure people will enjoy them and appreciate the effort that clearly goes into each one of them. :)

I love both types of videos. The real well edited, uhhh "Topic" videos like the speedrunning one are awesome to have, especially for the small niche of yume nikki, but there's also something so relaxing(?) about watching you run through and showcasing 2kki or a fangame you just see posted on twitter like tsushin. For example zahyou (who's art you showed at 6:38) has their own great fangame in development that I encountered in the same way, but its only got less than 100 twitter likes on the most recent release post. There's so much talent out there and unless it gets added to YNO I feel many don't really get their time to shine...

I love my exploding human fireworks too :3 Also I really like how this game barely has no plot for the most part, but the consistent imagery of the protag being a cat of some sort, and also that the entire city they live in is under a zombie infection of some kind based on a lot of details in the world and easy and hard to get events is very neat. Always thought that trope for yume Nikki theories was dumb, but having a fangame that purposefully focuses on it is very nice. Especially how the cat theme mixes with the zombie thing. I mainly see it as the cat being indipendent and trying to survive and stuff but there's definitely other readings

i tend to gravitate towards games that have less opportunities for interpretation like 2kki as a whole, but everything about this game interested me.. i can't wait to see more work from the creator of this game

@@purekosu oh that's an interesting take! for me that kind of stuff, the symbolism consistency that can be turned into a narrative implicitly or not, is the bow and cheery on top to truly make a fangame unique and memorable, since that is what will stick with you afterwards. it's funny you put 2kki into the section of not narrative ones, since from a certain point of view is the one with the most narrative of that sort, just that instead of taking the span of the whole fangame, it's by author world group. qxy with shimako, the whole 28 thing, all the stuff tied to dream park are all about urotsuki plus a few other ones, ect. but on the other hand, 2kki is also very unconventional and detached from any bigger plot of any kind lol

4:59 the shade being thrown at lamp shades (i'm not sorry) made me laugh because I just finished playing MOTHER 1 and the game basically opens with Ninten being attacked by an animated fucking lamp
