▶ The Unit | 더 유닛 - Ep.13
: This episode of The Unit is titled, ‘What I Am Made Of’. Position Battle to decide the best performer of each position begins and everyone works hard to present their talent for 30 seconds to become the last one standing. After that, the performers are visited by the mentors and get to take courage and comfort from the mentors' advice and by opening up about themselves. Meanwhile, Park Narae and Kim Jimin visit The Unit as hosts of the program, 'Crying Fist', to help them with unresolved feelings.

i saw somewhere a while ago she said she was nervous and her mind went blank to what she was going to say so she had to on the spot change her lyrics 😂she kinda relied on her english to get through it (cos 90% of the people there wouldn't understand anyway). Her intro was pretty fire tho until she went off the rail.

She has ALOT of potential and her natural flow and clean, sweet voice gives her that charming factor! I loved her intro! It flowed so well and matched the beat perfectly! She just needs some lines and some other girls who can compliment her as well! That would be a good group

in hangul euna kim is 은나김(?) (or maybe 으나 or 은아?? I'm not sure, I'm not that good in hangul but the other ways seem weird) and yuna kim is 유나김, the letters and pronunciation are different. She goes by yuna kim, as you can see written in 1:59

Ana Pisani actually the first name you wrote in hangul would be Eun-na, but she actually goes by her name pronouncing the 'eu' just like an English U rather than the actual Korean 'eu' you can find in names like Eunwoo, that's why her name reads exactly the same way as Yuna in hangul, and that seems to be where the confusion happens.

I feel like it has to do with their first language. Yuna is from the states that her rap is so distinguishable, its the same thing for Jessi. Like they're the only ones I know that when they rap I can tell who is who.

kyootnshort Adding on to this thread but she arguably choked on the beat a bit. Felt like her rhythm was a bit off, yet a lot of people in the industry like to exaggerate, if not many of us Koreans in general. It kind of makes sense if it was truly freestyle, but shows are often able to edit these parts so they could have had time to prepare something with the given beats (ex. Jessi can make some quick lines but it was exaggerated that she freestyled in an episode of the Unpretty Rapstar series; I believe she said herself that they had like 10-20 minutes to write lines).

Hidden Masquerade Yuna's was freestyle though. She even forgot her lyrics and went freestyle. She probably would have time to prepare but they suddenly changed the beat for her. Idk why...🤔🤔🤔

GayAFGoldenSone Sadly all we have is the edited, clipped versions of the popular cast. With this clip alone we can't tell if it changed for everyone like the previous position battles, or just with her. Also I did state the condition if she did, because again, you can never have a definite sure with a piece of the puzzle (it does lean towards being freestyle though since, what I'm interpreting you said, she perhaps forgot her lines and freestyled). Not trying to dismiss her skills, but being honest about it because it was a bit too hyped here when she's done so much better.

Hidden Masquerade You can find the full unedited version on the units fanpage and they changed the beat right before her then changed it to the original one again after her performance. I seriously don't know why they did that. Deems suspicious. Some are saying that since she participated in Unpretty Rapstar they were 'testing her' which doesn't even make sense tbh. 🤔🤔🤔 But yeah, this is definitely not one of her best performance. She has done better and she could do better. Perhaps she was genuinely taken aback by the sudden beat change.

GayAFGoldenSone Ah, I stated in my comments from this clip alone. I'm aware unedited versions come out but wasn't sure if they were out yet as I don't completely follow this show (for some reason the interest goes back and forth). Also it may be because for Unpretty Rapstar, they actually are allowed a bit of time to write lyrics. So if they were testing her abilities, it was probably both out of curiosity and show appeal (the things that draw in viewers; i.e. clickbait)
