I had my “restricts” at 14... in the south, most of us get our restricted hardships at young age. It dates way back due to most of us that live in rural areas w/ our older grandparents or even just visiting, the kids could assist and drive to town, usually miles whether it be to run errands or emergencies. Just have to have someone 21 or older w/ DL and curfew applied, I believe in AR it use to be midnight. I started driving in my Daddy lap, then my uncle let me drive his old school when I was like 12 lol, I almost backed into a tree (didn’t know the car moved when foot came off brake) but I got that shit... so my friends, and I have been driving since like 12/13 lol... we were backing in parking spaces and parallel parking, all that. I’m cold behind the wheel and I’m a defensive driver. I know how to drive a stick. I’m not great at it, because it’s not like I drive one every day, but If I’m an emergency, I’m good. It’s only hard to get out of first and to reverse... My momma use to have this Geo Storm, w/ some fucking 12s lol. The one thing I hate about TX is that most of these mfas don’t know how to drive.. either they didn’t start driving until they were 18,19, 20 OR they’re not from here and can’t follow simple rules of the road. It’s dumb AF especially in the Dallas area w/ all these freeways, expressways, tollways, highways, interstates, and speed limits around 60-70 MPH so you know these mfas going 80-100 and all the whole cant fucking drive. It’s ridiculous. I went off in a whole ass tangent. My bad.
