Lost my wife in late 2019. She was struggling hard with depression and substance abuse. She loved this version of the song and we listened to it often together a lot before she passed. She was such a beautiful person who flickered between profound darkness and blazing starlight. I hope that somehow I will see a sunrise again with her when the darkness has passed.

Sometimes I just need to hear this version and all is right with the world again.

4 reasons why this song gave me the most chills today: 1. The first comment said it wasn't my first time and it wasn't. 2. First chorus when they went"... You into the dark..." was the exact moment my bedtime mode started and screen went monochrome. 3. "...Time for sleep is now..." sequence happened just as I read about a comment on that line. 4. Halsey.

I feel like Dom is bringing out all the good sides of Halsey. I missed her. I hope they will work more together in the future. They are a great team

I heard this song (cover) for the first time in rehab, and it resonated with me so hard. I've rarely had a song break me down and make me cry the way this one did. With everything going on, this song was beautifully sadly perfect. Im almost 8 months clean and doing so much better. Love this song. Dom has this calm power to his voice, it's quite intoxicating. The there is Halsey, who's voice is both entirely unique, and distinctly generic, it's a weird combination, as she sounds like someone you've heard a hundred times before, but with this twang that you've also never heard before. I love this pairing.

Dom is so good at the intense super hyper singing, like funeral or parents, but this, the soft and longing style, is amazing. His voice is incredible and is just great in any style. When he sings like this it calms me down and makes me feel so safe.

I remember listening to this song at a younger age and just enjoying the jam. Now it brings tears to my eyes as I look at my wife and realize she is my absolute everything and something worth finally dying for. To go from being scared of death to embracing it is a very beautiful thing, that both confuses you and feels so right.
