(G)I-DLE currently has 5 members : CHO MIYEON (Korean) (She was supposed to debut with BLACKPINK) (She is a part of K/DA), YEH SHUHUA (Taiwanese) (Pronounced as 'Shoo-hwa' or 'Shoo-ha') (Maknae), MINNIE (Thai), JEON SOYEON (The genius leader who produces songs for the group) (She is also a part of K/DA) and YUQI (Chinese) (Pronounced as 'Oo-gi' or 'U-gi' or 'Woo-gi'). SEO SOOJIN was the girl who left the group.
This is not Yuqi's solo debut. It is her first album, though. For her debut, she did two songs in May 2021. The first has a really artsy hand-drawn video to go with it that helps tell the story in the lyrics, called 'Giant'. The other is a proper Music Video and that song is called 'Bonnie and Clyde'. While she performed these on stage, she even plays guitar. :)
I think the movie is about Yuqi being the only normal person at first and feel like those monster are very freak but as the song goes on and was nearing at the end, she realized those monster are also normal and she herself who she assumes were the only normal person at first suddenly realize she's a freak too and i think the message is to make us realize everybody have a freak side and should just be ourself😂❤
IDLE doesn’t really use those “positions” terms that often. Yuqi is in the “maknae line” with the actually maknae Shuhua. They were born only 3 months apart.
(G)I-DLE members : *(1) MINNIE* (Thai) (She was born on October 23, 1997) (Vocalist), *(2) CHO MIYEON* (Korean) (She was born on January 31, 1997) (Vocalist and Visual), *(3) JEON SOYEON* (Korean) (She was born on August 26, 1998) (Leader, Vocalist, Rapper and Center), *(4) YUQI* (Pronounced as 'Oo-gi' or 'U-gi' or 'Woo-gi') (Chinese) (She was born on September 23, 1999) (Rapper, Dancer and Vocalist) and *(5) YEH SHUHUA* (Pronounced as 'Shoo-hwa' or 'Shoo-ha') (Taiwanese) (She was born on January 6, 2000) (Maknae, Visual and Vocalist). Each (G)I-DLE member has a unique voice.
I was so excited when you mentioned the meaning of the song at the very beginning of the video but you blew right by it, lol. This is a self love anthem. (Yuqi makes several self references throughout the song to make it clear.). As far as the English lyrics it's pretty simple. Yuqi is Chinese and spoke both Mandarin and English from an early age and though she's comfortable singing in Korean it's important to her to write her own music and lyrics so she chooses to write in English as she's much more comfortable writing in English than in Korean. Nothing to do with marketing. :)
No they aren't, stop projecting yourself on the meaning of things. This song is very clearly about self love, her sexual preference has nothing to do with the song and you're being weird.
